VisualArts
Studio for Teens
Proposal
The cross-disciplinar team task of Visual Arts
Studio is to help teenagers not only to create
practically but to be able to talk freely in a
context of visual language that has no borders
and barriers nowadays.
With the help of mutual creative process we
are looking for the variety of artistic identities
and peculiarity of every single student.
How does it work?
As an off-line project Visual Arts Studio
arranges entertainment workshops and
educational programmes for children focused
cultivation of culture of thinking and creative
process execution, building theirs first
portfolios, inspiring for good future in
creative proffesion.
Professional tutors, vizual artists, musicians,
performers, and designers are working
together with young students to make their
first experiences in art, design, performace,
and music.
As an online blog, Visual Arts Studio shares
the news and illustrates the creative process
by means of images and narration, engaging
young artists for their first gallery
performance. 1/10
Auditory
Visual Art Studio enrolls
students ages 6 through 13.
Classes contain up to 11
students with 3-4 cross-
disciplinar teachers (Design,
Visual Arts, Street Art,
Performance Art). All classes
consist of students of all ages
and abilities. Students are
interacting for the topic of
the lessons and guided
according to individual level
of experience and interest.
New students may join a class
at any time.

BaseElements (Cross-disciplinar Creative Program)
Rythm and Pattern
(repetition,
fragmentation)
Since Rythm, Repetition anf
Fragmentation are
represented in almost every
field of art, we couldn't help
dedicating the whole lesson to
pattern and meaning of the
artistic repeat.
This time we talked about
rhythm in art, saw and
discussed the role of most
famous design patterns from
all over the world. A photo
presentation helped our
students to become familiar
with rather important and
notable patterns coming from
fashion industry, find out
their meanings and long-lived
stories of their existence. The
practical part of our meeting
consisted of mastering the
technique of repeating figures
in drawing, creating tape art
composition and graffiti. All
that was pretty amazing and
we don't mind making
1
Marks, Signs, Types,
Trends
How important the first
impression is? Is it enough to
examine something for a
second and be able to
reproduce it later with the
help of art? How do signs and
little details talk and what
can they tell our eyes and our
consciousness?
During the lesson on marks,
signs and types we tried to
answer all these questions
and therefore explored the
varity styles and directions
coming from different
decades of XX century and
knew how to discern recent
from past by signs as actions
in performance art; we also
studied human faces and
tried to reconstruct our own
features while portraiting and
still not looking at each other.
We studied the variety of
visual styles exploring the
objects and discovered the
way of discerning the signs
coming forms, movememnts,
details, types, lettering basics
usability cues. We are
listening sound samples
practicing with it is creation.
Small and Huge
During the very lesson we
explored the way size, value
and form play role in creative
process.
Together with our students
we looked for tiny details
around us and learned how to
paint them on wide shits of
paper; we made models and
sketches and knew about the
term of supplemented
composition in art; had a
small talk about urban
subcultures and their mutual
interaction with the street.
And we definitely grew bigger
after these little hours spent
in a fine creative company!

Creativity and the Street or
Art and Invironmemnt.
Spinning around about the idea
of composition!
Together with tutor we are
learning how to work with the
space, creating objects connected
with invironment; introduction
for the international practicies
of contemporary art and talking
about the street as gellery.
The team of tutors (Design & Visual Arts, Street Art, Performance Art) inspires children to descover their personal passions, talents
and learning using educational best practices and developing basic cross-disciplinar course (5 lessons for 2 hours). Basic course for the
group up to 11 discovers children's artistic motivations, formulate and verbally express their art more accurately and in a contemporary
context. Each lesson in the studio team of tutors, kids and guests are learning one theme using different ways focusing on cross-
disciplinar approaches academically, socially, and emotionally.

Artistic Processand MaterialTransformation byDasha SurI have over seven years of experience developing and teaching fun and engaging classes that inspire, encourage and boost kids to
use imagination and create, think and talk about objects to learn how to communicate through visual language and symbols.
The result is enriching educational, practical, and emotional learning that could be the bast way being professional artist, or
designer, or good mediator and collaborator. So I developed the program for group or individual learning that consists of
7 classes from basics of Visual Arts and Design to exhibition.
After the bacis course students can work in smaller groups with one of the tuturs chosing the course from disciplines to build
strong skillset (Design, Visual Arts or Performance Arts) and develop and select a strong portfolio. The key highlight is an
individual guidance in recognising artistic style that best suits for student's work, tutorials in finding the artistic vocabulary that
fits work process and good community.

Art Journeys
Our curriculum builds fascination and boosts
critical thinking through personal experience.
Art Journeys help us to engage child for the
contemporary art, show world famous
practicies, talk about it in museums, theatres
and galleries.
Our students answer the questions: "What is
the idea of their art experiences picture?",
"How is it connected with the world?".
Through inquiry, projects, discusion, core
skills work, and reflection, students connect
while they are learning to be creatives.
