Sexual Health Resource Centre Volunteer Application Form

The Sexual Health Resource Centre (SHRC) is a confidential, non-judgmental, information and referralservice for questions related to sex, sexuality, and sexual health. We sell a variety of non-prescriptionsafer sex products and cost and provide educational information sessions on safer sex and sexuality to

diverse groups. Our office is a drop-in centre where people can come in to ask questions in person and has alibrary addressing various topics. We require that all our volunteers abide by our mandate, act in a professional manner and respectconfidentiality. We welcome applicants from the Queens, St. Lawrence College, RMC, and Kingston communities.

If you are interested in volunteering at the SHRC, please submit an application:

APPLICATION PROCESS1. What to include: Please submit a creative 1-2 page introduction to yourself and your reasons

for applying and why you are suited to the SHRC . Please include any relevantexperience/information that would aid us in our selection process.

2. Deadline: Friday, May 4 th at 4PM. Please drop it off at the centre. (Rm. 223, JDUC 2 nd floor;Kingston; 613 533 2959)

INTERVIEW PROCESS

1. The interviews will be taking place on Saturday, May 5th

and Sunday, May 6th

(from 9am-9pm)2. Not all applicants are guaranteed an interview. If you have been chosen for an interview, you will receive anemail by 10pm on Friday May 4 th . Interviews begin at 9am. It is your responsibility to check your emailto see if you have been scheduled for an interview. Your name and interview time will also be posted on theSHRCs door by May 4 th (If you would prefer for us to post a pseudonym rather than your real name on thedoor please make note of that below).

TRAINING PROCESSMandatory volunteer training will take place from 9AM to 5PM on Saturday May 12 th and Sunday May13 th 2011. You MUST be available for these days.
