You will also be asked to provide a recent Social Development and Police Check. All forms in the package can be dropped off in person at the TRC or emailed/scanned to [email protected] . We require the original copy of your Police Check after you have picked it up from your nearest police station. The Social Development Check is simply filled out by the individual and then dropped off with your application package. Pathways to Education will be responsible to forward the form to Social Development. We look forward to working with you.

Pathways to Education Volunteer Statement of Commitment

In order to foster a productive and beneficial relationship between our volunteers and the Pathways to

Education program, we have prepared the following guidelines for each party. Please read the following

commitments. All parties will sign the statement at the beginning of your volunteer position.

Pathways to Education will:

• Provide a positive and encouraging environment for the volunteer to work in

• Meet with the volunteer regularly to answer questions, discuss problems, and accept feedback.

• Provide ongoing training in various areas relating to youth development, education and needs.

• Produce a letter of reference for the volunteer on completion of your term

• Contact any volunteer who misses three consecutive scheduled service times to discuss the reason and

offer solution or support

The Volunteer will:

• Attend training sessions when available

• Sign in for scheduled shifts and keep track of time spent in the program

• Come to the program at the times prearranged with program staff

• Notify staff when they are required to be absent from the program

• Dress appropriately for the conditions and performance of their duties

• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary or privileged information they are exposed to while serving as a

volunteer whether this information involves staff, students or the program in general

• Assist in other Pathways activities if possible when requested
