LEVANTAMENTO TAXONOMICO PRELIMINAR DA ICTIOFAUNADA LAGUNA DA TIJUCA, RIO DE JANEIRO

The studied arl!a is located in J<icarepagua shoal, Rio de Janeiro state. The purpose of our work is to contribute to the ichthyological kroowlc " ' and the preservation

of the Jacarepagua lagoon complex, because of it's potentiality as a procriation area of many impor-tant fish families, with economic valca for the na~ive people.

In this paper we studied the following families: Elopidae, Clupeidae, Ariidae, Poeciliidae,Anablepidae, Mugilidae, Atherinidae, Centropomidae, Carangidae, Gerreidae, Sciaenidae, Gobiidae,Cichlidae, Bothidae, Soleidae and Synoglossidae, with their r·.:;>~':tive genus ar. , species.

Camorim: Mugil platanus (Gunther, 1880), Micropogon undulatus (Linnaeus, 1766),Oxilabrax undecimalis (Bloch, 1792) Geophagus brasiliensis (Quoy & Gaimard, 1824)e Pseudopimedolus zungaro (Humboldt, 1812).
