RE/MAX Metro 3 DELIGHTFUL YEARS Three long years have passed since the launch of RE/MAX Metro and today I would like to look back and thank my Business Associates, Admin staff, family (especially my parents, my wife and my daughter), friends, clients and all well wishers who contributed in making this journey worthwhile and more. 3. AN INTEREST IN CRICKET The journey began The journey began when I was a mere lad of 10 and a cricket enthusiast. 4. Initial summer training classes were prolonged to regular sessions by my coach owing to my prowess in the game. TRAINING 5. MY COACH PUSHED ME My coach pushed me to work hard 6. And then came a day when I was selected in the school team. THE DAY CAME 7. The hard work was further rewarded when I was selected in the state cricket team. REWARDS OF HARD WORK 8. CRICKET GLORY Soon I was appointed as the Captain of Under 16 category and then the Under 19 category team. 9. CRICKET GLORY My success story went on with a chance to represent Gujarat in Ranji One Day which I was able to maintain for 9 long years. 10. UK SPELL I was recommended by Mr. Chetan Mankad to one Club in UK called Billesdon to play for them in Leicestershire Premier League in 2001. I played 9 years of my cricket in UK for Billesdon CC and LoughboroughTown CC. 11. RECORD BREAKERS MASTERFOODS batsmen Vivek Parikh & Vijay Panchal Co- wrote the Grantham Cricket League Record Books at Waltham 12. SUCCESS HIATUS In the year 2007, my success story in cricket took a setback when I had to undergo arthroscopic surgery after an injury during fielding. 13. A PARTNER FOR LIFE I got married to Vinita, my partner through thick and thin, in 2007. 14. I played for two more years in UK but could not continue like before. TWO MORE YEARS 15. I never made a full come back after that. NEVER LIKE BEFORE 16. THE RE/MAX IDEA It was in UK that I got to know that RE/MAX, the worlds famous & largest real estate broking company is going to start offices in India. I was interested! 17. REGIONAL OWNERS Manan & Aashil I met Manan and Aashil to find out more about the RE/MAX franchise. Initial inhibitions were whether a sportsman like me would be able to manage a real estate franchise ? 18. Manan and Aashil helped to make me understand the nuances of the business. REGIONAL OWNERS Manan & Aashil 19. and also reiterated the fact that the RE/MAX brand and institute would teach me all I needed to know. REGIONAL OWNERS Manan & Aashil 20. CRICKET TO RE/MAX I decided to quit cricket which had been a part of my life for 20 years, and start a RE/MAX franchise. Thus begins the story of RE/MAX Metro when on 1st August 2010, the first office was opened by me. 21. RE/MAX METRO HUMBLE BEGINNING From scratch I began my office with only three agents and gradually learnt the business from scratch. I did a lot of learning and research in order to understand the real estate world. 22. RE/MAX METRO GROWS Slowly but steadily, RE/MAX Metro started growing, initially with references from friends and family and then from clients, from advertisements and agents. 23. SOME ADVERTISEMENTS 24. BIGGER TEAM More agents joined and today we have 14 agents working for RE/MAX Metro and we are all set to grow further. 25. RE/MAX SAFETY Being a part of the RE/MAX group has been a kind of safety net for us. RE/MAX started to grow eventually to 12 offices in Ahmedabad (as on 1st August 2013 ) and 100 agents which is the biggest real estate broking company in Ahmedabad. 26. AWARDS FOR RE/MAX METRO During the RE/MAX India Goa Convention 2013, our team was awarded the second best franchise in India and I won the Top Recruiter award for year 2012-2013 and my agents were recognized as best agents. 27. AWARDS FOR RE/MAX METRO 28. RE/MAX TRAINING WORKS Not only in real estate broking, the RE/MAX training sessions made me tech savvy and helped me to take mature decisions. 29. I learnt how to reduce running expenditure and increase the income by implementing the right things. LEARNING 30. DISCIPLINE AND DEDICATION But hard work and dedication can make any job easy. The discipline that I had learnt way back during the game came in handy to make me do well in a business I had no clue about. Competition brings out the best in the person, be it cricket or business. 31.
