GPU Pass-through (1/2)

Requirements:• Plug in a monitor to NAS Local display • UltraVNC Remote desktop

• Can be installed from the QNAP Guest Tool

Benefits:• Supports DirectX and OpenGL graphic APIs • Increases processing power and improves display

output

7

Remote Desktop - QNAP Guest tools (2/2)

• Virtio Driver (compulsory)• Virtual Gigabit Ethernet• Virtual Disk Controller

• QNAP Guest agent• Collects VM IP address• Synchronizes the VM time

• Can correct the VM time after the VM is resumed

• UltraVNC®• When the VM uses GPU passthrough, the

VM needs an extra VNC server for accessing the console.

Networking mode

• IsolatedNot attaching any Ethernet interface to a Virtual Switch creates an isolated network.

• External-onlySpecify an Ethernet interface for a Virtual Switch to enable dedicated routing between virtual switches and external networks.

• BridgedAttaching an Ethernet interface to a Virtual Switch creates a bridged network.

12

Network Topology• Easily check the network status and clearly see the

network topology

15

Virtual Switch: Private Network• It is easy to create a LAN environment by bridging your

devices via NAS. • DHCP Server included
