When the birds fly over Lightsview, they’re
treated to a view we’ll never get to see.
Down below, the neighbourhood is cut
through with swathes of green that
represent the suburb’s huge network
of open spaces. In these, kids play, parents
stroll and neighbours walk their dogs,
jog or play a casual game of football.
Just a few months from now, there will
be even more green to see as Lightsview’s
new Central Park nears completion.
As they pass over – the birds might
swoop down to check if there’s any
bread on offer from Lightsview locals
dining at the Urban Lights Café,
or to stop by the Northgate Shopping
Centre for the same reason, where
they’ll no doubt see a few residents
stopping in for milk and other essentials.
Heading out over the newly-developed,
architecturally-designed apartment
buildings at Lightsview – the birds will
head south, and before they know it –
they’ll have covered the short 8km
to the city. Here, all of South Australia’s
premiere attractions spread out before
them – the high-quality dining of
O’Connell Street; the Adelaide Oval,
which is now the home of football in
the city; the buzzing Riverbank precinct
with its pop-up festivals; cosmopolitan
Norwood Parade to the east and the
sprawling Victoria Park.
While we’ll never see it like the birds
do, Lightsview’s residents know that living
in the suburb that has all these things
right at hand is great no matter which
way you look at it.
Go to lightsview.com.au for more
information about making Adelaide’s
best address your home.
Lightsview is just minutes from
Adelaide’s best attractions.
As Lightsview grows, more and more people are discovering a suburb that has everything you could possibly need, and – with a location just 8km from the city – easy access to all the fun and entertainment you could ever want.

FUTURE
On a grand scaleLightsview’s newest home design uses architectural thinking to pair a large, luxury house with a smaller block. This innovation is the Grand Terrace, and it has all the amenity and beauty of the home you want for a price you can afford.
Lightsview’s design team often takes
inspiration from the best houses around
the world, but they know its sometimes
worth taking a look a bit closer to home.
“We’ve definitely seen examples of terrace
housing internationally, but the concept
for this house – which is different to the
small traditional terraces – that came
from Osmond Terrace in Norwood,”
says Alan Miller, the Project Director
of Lightsview.
“If you drive along there you’ll see it’s
got closer together narrow housing,
but very nice, luxurious housing all the
same. There’s $2 million examples of this
concept on that street.”
The idea for the Grand Terrace – a large
and beautifully-appointed four-bedroom
family home on a smaller block – grew
from a desire to make the luxury home
market accessible to a broader audience.
“There’s large families that want to get
into the housing market as well and
by lowering the cost of the land and
delivering a large family home we can
introduce more people into that market,”
says Alan.
Highlights are spotted throughout the
home, but some of the most notable are
the very roomy 11m-long living area
downstairs and the enormous master
suite upstairs, which includes a walk-in
robe and bathroom with full size bath.
The frontage – finished with a diverse
palette of high quality materials – also
makes the list of remarkable features,
and ensure the home sits perfectly in any
Lightsview street.
“A lot of people would rather have a large, luxury house on a smaller piece of land for a better end result.” – Alan Miller

Loft 238A brand new architecturally designed family home can be yours for only $376,500.
DESIGN FOCUS
An evolution of the highly successful
Loft 38, the Loft 238 is yet another of the
innovative lifestyle choices on offer at
Lightsview. The Loft 238 is full of great
ideas, space and light.
Designed to create a flexible family home
filled with light and space, the Loft 238
demonstrates Lightsview’s commitment
to finding high quality solutions that offer
outstanding value for money.
This three-bedroom home is ideal for
families who want the lifestyle without
all the maintenance that comes with a
more traditional home. And let’s face it,
the Loft 238 is anything but traditional.
Inside, inspired architecture thinking like
the use of three voids, lets sunlight fill the
length of its two storeys. Large picture
windows at the front and bordering the
courtyard provide a feeling of volume,
while transparent surfaces, a carefully
chosen colour palette and light wood
hues create a seamless flow between
the home’s interior and exterior.
Adding to the appeal of the Loft 238
is the two level floor-plan, which
includes three-bedrooms, two bathrooms,
a powder room, dedicated living area,
galley kitchen, dining area, courtyard
and a secure single car garage.
Perhaps an even more astounding feature
is the price. The Loft 238 is sold turn key
specification for only $376,500.

Lightsview’s $7 million park: Worth every penny!
INNOVATION
Lightsview is again proving its commitment to open community spaces with the new Central Park – an addition that will greatly expand the suburb’s already-significant network of green spaces by introducing elements like wetlands, interactive play equipment and landscaped gardens.
Part of the evolution of Lightsview’s new
central precinct, Central Park is a huge
network of parks designed to provide
residents with the chance to enjoy the
outdoors in a dizzying variety of ways.
Fanning out from the piazza, which
is near Lightsview’s new release of
apartments and the retail and dining
precinct, Central Park begins with a series
of structured landscape gardens and
water features. These provide the perfect
hangout for older kids spending time
with friends, or adults looking for a few
minutes’ peace.
Walking down, a series of terraced
lawns offer ample room to spread
out and lead down to the nature play
precinct. Here, kids will be delighted
by their options for climbing, swinging
and jumping on a collection of nature-
themed facilities, all built using
the latest and safest materials.
A series of wetlands sits beyond the
playground. The sprawling system gives
residents a chance to get back to nature,
but is also punctuated by useful amenities
like decking, fitness stations and
integrated walking, jogging and
cycling trails.
At a cost of $7 million dollars, the Central
Park precinct is a significant investment
for Lightsview, but one which is made
worthwhile by the value each and every
resident gets from it.
Designed as part of the suburb’s larger
park network, this new addition is just
further evidence that the team
at Lightsview understand how green
space can foster a better lifestyle, happier
community and healthier individuals.
And that’s worth more than any amount
of money.

New Childcare centre to open at Lightsview A new, state-of-the-art childcare centre will come to Lightsview when experienced operator Stepping Stone transform the former David Campbell Performing Arts Centre next year.
COMMUNITY
George Skrembos – the director of
Stepping Stone childcare and early
development centres – has long had
his eye on Lightsview and the David
Campbell Performing Arts Centre,
which he says is the perfect spot for
a childcare facility.
“There’s a large estate there at Lightsview
and a large number of houses being built,
so there is demand for childcare,” he says.
“The significance and history of the site
as the former David Campbell Performing
Arts Centre is very exciting for us and
the opportunity to refurbish and extend
what is a very solid and significant
building is wonderful.”
As part of their process, Stepping Stone
designs each centre with reference to
its surrounding community. For the
new project at Lightsview, plans are in
motion to refurbish and extend the David
Campbell building to incorporate world’s
best practice facilities for early learning
and development.
“The internal space will be encouraging
– there will be colour, educational toys,
but we also have a flow from inside to
outside,” says George.
“There’s a series of activity rooms –
rooms for different age groups that are
appropriate for them – and those internal
spaces flow outside into the play areas.”
With building works set to commence
in June 2016 and completion forecast for
early 2017, Lightsview families will soon
be able to make the most of having some
of the best care right on their doorstep.
Not only that, with Stepping Stone
hoping to “employ staff from the local
community”, that care will quite likely
be provided by a trusted neighbour.
Email [email protected] or call

place at the Lightsview childcare centre.
Happy bountiful birthdayThe Freshview Farmer’s Market is marking its first anniversary at Lightsview with plans to get bigger, better and even more diverse.
CELEBRATING
In November of last year, the Freshview
Farmer’s Market turned one. Instead of
throwing a party, it celebrated by keeping
on with what it does best – offering up
fresh local produce and delicious treats
to the Lightsview community every
Sunday morning.
As the market, which is managed
by David Cook of Farm Direct, has
established itself in Lightsview it has
also been steadily expanding. David
says Freshview’s growth will continue
throughout 2016, and is being carefully
managed to ensure it is sustainable.
“Throughout January we will be looking
at expanding the market to provide more
stallholders to the community,” says David.
“We’ve now built up a customer base…and
by the end of January I dare say we’ll have
expanded to have four or five stalls on the
other side of the coffee shop car park.”
Freshview has an emphasis on providing
locally-produced, pesticide free goods.
David says that focus will be maintained
while more diversity is added to the mix
with different kinds of stalls.
“I will be introducing a few more fruit and
veg stalls and we’ve just had Gawler herbs
start with us recently, so now people can
buy potted herbs to keep in their kitchen,”
he says.
“I’ve got a few more stallholders lined up,
and only a few minutes ago I got a call
from someone who wants to come down
and do spring rolls and things like that –
so they’ll be staring up too.”
Visit the Freshview Market every Sunday
morning between 8am and 1pm at the corner
of City View Boulevard and Folland Avenue.
