Job Title: Maintenance Officer
Knowledge: Knowledge of repairs contract management and contract compliance. Knowledge of basic Health and Safety legislation Basic DIY skills including plumbing, joinery and electrical work Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. Working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation relevant to the role.
Skills & Competences: Able to create and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues at all levels in the organisation. Able to solve problems and be responsible and accountable for decisions and actions. Able to represent the Foundation, develop strong relationships with the ability to negotiate with tenants and
other stake holders. Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team. Able to be self-motivated, plan and prioritise workload in a reactive environment. Able to resolve customer queries / complaints and deliver high level of tenant satisfaction. Able to monitor contractor performance in relation to building reactive maintenance contracts and implement
corrective action as required.
Experience & Track Record: Experience in diagnosing property maintenance repairs and producing subsequent specifications in order to
implement the works. Experience in undertaking contract management of reactive repairs contracts ideally in a social housing
environment.
Other Requirements For the Role: Have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use Willingness and ability to work outside of shift/rota on occasion. Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.
