“MOM AND ME” - ACTIVITY BY LIFE SKILL RESOURCE ROOM

The Life Skill Resource Room organized an event on the theme: “Mom and Me,” on the 25th of October 2018 with the main aim of mother child bonding.

The event focused on the unique bond shared between the mother and child. Both the mother and the child wore the same coloured clothes. The teachers planned activities and games based on the ability and strengths of the child. The program began with a very heart touching action song by the students.

The games for the day included colour coded sorting, filling the bottle to a distance, painting within the outline, bowling, sticking shapes to make a pizza, etc. Every activity was performed by the mother-child duo.

The event was conducted in the assembly area. The place was decorated with balloons along with a table and chair setup and music. The last activity for the day was hand printing.

The mothers had to paint the palm of the child and print it on paper and then use their imagination and make a painting out of the handprint.

This brought out their own creative talent. Care was taken to focus on the punch line: “We are born winners”. So we had a winner and runners up. Every child went home with a prize.

The event concluded with snacks, cold drinks and beautifully decorated marsh-mellows. Parents and children had a ball of a time working and playing together. Thus, bringing them closer in a fun way.

VIDYA VIKAS ACADEMY CELEBRATES PRAKRITI MAHOTSAV : MISSION GREEN SCHOOLS

Vidya Vikas Academy enthusiastically celebrated “Prakriti Mahotsav: Mission Green Schools”, a CBSE initiative, from 13th August 2018 to 17th August 2018 to reinforce positive attitude and values towards preserving our environment. Our environment plays a very significant role in making possible the existence of healthy life on the Earth. Due to human negligence and selfishness the nature’s delicate balance has been affected. It is very important to realize the importance of keeping it safe, to know the ways of protecting our natural resources and to get aware about all the bad habits which are damaging the environment day by day. As per the CBSE guidelines the students of VVA, guided by their teachers, planted 11 saplings of native varieties. These included flowering trees, fruit bearing trees and also medicinal plants. Each plant was named after a martyr of Indian Freedom struggle, Goa’s Liberation Movement and of Indian defense services. Thus, integrating the two moral responsibilities- preserving the one who nurtures our life and commemorating the one who gave their life for us. Under the guidance of Sir.Bhushan Sail the VVA family joined the CBSE family in its endeavor to protect our environment and our future generations. Coordinator : Sir Bhushan Sail
