What is it about?● Our game will be an open RPG.● Its inspiration comes from Xenoblade, but our motive is to

build a roleplaying game without the repetitive features in common RPGs.

● The main plot of the game is about our hero and their

companions banding together to form a party. Together they work to defeat a corrupt force taking over their land. Their mission is to reclaim the home that had been taken away from them.There are also many si

● dequests, missions that the player can do which will divert them from the storyline. It isn’t mandatory, but completing them will offer upgrades, so it is encouraged.

Who is our hero?● The hero is essentially an avatar that can be customized to how the player

wants them to be.● Customizable features include their gender, appearance, clothes, fighting class,

and so forth.● There will be other characters who come along to join our hero.● A total of 6-7 seven characters will be playable as they help our hero

throughout the game. ● In multiplayer mode, there is an option to switch between these characters.

Open World?● The world is diverse and

features many different environments that the player

can travel.● The player can strictly follow the

places that are only relevant to the plot if they want to, but it is strongly encouraged to explore more of the open world.

● Discovering new areas brings

not only experience points, but access to secret areas as well. Each contains their own treasures and rewards upon obtaining them,

What are the mechanics?● The gameplay and combat system will be very similar to a common RPG but with a

few tweaks.● Like many RPGs, there is a party of 3 playable characters during a battle. They

must defeat a foe or multiple foes in order to gain experience. But in this game, experience points can be gained simply by traveling to new areas.

● The player can also warp to areas they discovered before, so the travel system isn’t tedious and repetitive.

● The combat system will also encourage switching out characters often to try out different combinations in battle.

● Characters who fight together will gain an “affinity”, or a bond between them. As the bond between each character strengthens, the better the combinations are.

Who will play it?● Our goal is to make a game that will reach out to a wide, diverse range of

audiences by demographic and expert level.● The character customization option is there so players will be able to see

themselves more in the protagonist. ● Casual gamers will also be a prime audience, but there will be challenges that an

expert gamer will find themselves enjoying as well.● People who have been exposed to RPGs, or the Xenoblade Chronicles in

particular, will find this game very recognizable to the genre, but will also notice it’s little twists to the formula.

● Teens to adults will most likely be playing it, due to its strategic battle system and branching plotline.
