what is VPi?1. Vocational Preparatory Instruction (VPI) is a group

of learning specialists who focus on helping the vocational students meet their graduation goal through successful completion of the TABE or TEAS.

2. VPI provides one-on-one tutoring in math, language and reading .

3. Specialists have resources for preparing for the TABE and TEAS tests including on-line software and workbooks.

4. VPI specialists work with you to determine when to retest on the TABE.

5. VPI can help you determine your preferred learning style, improve your study skills and note taking skills, and enjoy learning more.

Take your TABE as soon as possible. It is better to get your TABE test behind you so if you need remediation (tutoring) we can get started!

what if i didn’t pass with the scores that i need for my vocational program?Do not worry! VPI is available on all four BCC campuses and is specifically designed to help you meet your goals. The VPI Learning Specialists will work with you to design a program of review and guide you in your learning so that you can retest and obtain the score(s) you need in the area(s) that you need help. We are here to help you succeed. If you do not pass portion(s) of the T.A.B.E., please see a VPI Learning Specialist early in the course of your program to discuss your options.
