VerSys Porous Hip System

Among the most essential elements in successful porous hip

arthroplasty is a prosthesis that not only meets the specific

requirements of the patient, but also fits the treatment

philosophy of the surgeon. The complete VerSys Hip System

places comprehensive solutions in your hands by offering

a porous prosthesis to match a wide variety of primary

or revision needs.

The VerSys Porous Hip System facilitates kinematic

restoration by providing options that allow independent

adjustment of offset, leg length, and head center.

These biomechanical variables present an opportunity

to improve stability and range of motion by allowing

the surgeon to optimize joint geometry and limb position.

Simple instrument System includes use of a single rasp for all VerSys Porous Implants.

Primary and revision Components offer both proximally coated and extensively coated fixation surfaces. The revision stems also offer a bowed option.

large metaphyseal (lm) options add 4mm-5mm in the area of the medial curve to help fill larger proximal-medial anatomies for a more stable arthroplasty.1,2

Porous Surface options include a choice of sintered cobalt-chromium beads (top) or commercially pure titanium fiber metal (bottom).

Acetabular options include fiber metal or Trabecular Metal™ fixation surfaces. A wide variety of liner options are available to address head size and stability issues in both compression molded polyethylene and Longevity® Highly Crosslinked Polyethylene.

offset optionsSome VerSys Porous Stems are available with standard, extended, revision, and extra-extended offsets. By increasing offset without increasing leg length, these implants offer the opportunity to achieve joint stability without compromising leg length.

low Head Center optionA 125-degree neck angle option accommodates the varus hip without artificially lengthening the leg. This option not only lowers the head center, but also lateralizes the hip to increase abductor muscle tension for patients with diminished abductor strength.

two Calcar Build-up Heights of 10mm and 20mm accommodate patients with calcar deficiencies and allow deep seating into the canal so the body can be anchored in viable bone stock.

one-piece Stem Provisionals are available for the 8-inch and 10-inch bowed stems, as well as the 7.5-inch straight stems. Calcar block provisionals fit into the slots on the corresponding provisional stems.

Built-in Anteversionreplicates the natural anteversion of the femoral neck. This is accomplished by adding 8-degrees of anteversion to the body relative to the anterior bow of the stem and 8-degrees of anteversion to the neck relative to the body. This 16- degree anteversion permits use of the best available bone in the canal while allowing for a more anatomic stem position, particularly with the bowed stems.
