The Hurricane Marina 80’ Family Paradise is a 80ft. x 16ft. floating getaway on Center Hill Lake, one of Lake Tennessee’s most scenic lakes.

This incredible boat sleeps up to 14 guests and offers a comfortable amount of space for everyone, with six queen size staterooms, a double bunk room, and 2 full bathrooms. Cook meals in a full kitchen complete with oven, microwave, and two refrigerators, or use the gas grill. Eat together in the spacious 10-person dining room and bar area.

In the evening guests can sit in the patio top hot tub. Enjoy movies on a flat panel TV and play music through the sound system. Your group can dance or enjoy the sunset under the party top, and a rear slide and swim platform allows you to play in the refreshing lake.

Trip-Planning TipsSo you’re planning a houseboat vacation and your crew is striking out somewhere new onboard a fabulous houseboat rental! Pulling together a houseboat trip is an absolute blast, but if this is a new type of vacation for you, here are a few helpful tips.

Triple-check the list of what’s already supplied on our houseboats so you don’t waste space bringing things you don’t need and—even worse—forget things that aren’t provided. As an extra, bringing your own pillows can sometimes help you feel more comfortable and sleep better at night.

Renting in a group? Try coordinating among yourselves so you only bring so many sets of sun lotion, aloe vera, hair dryers, etc. You really don’t need fifty extras of supplies like this onboard, and it’ll save that much more space for everyone.

If you’re bringing along little kids, help keep them feel comfortable by not forgetting that special blankie or toy. It’ll add a nice homey touch to an exciting but strange place and can help the kiddos relax a little better, especially at nighttime.

Be real about your wardrobe. Will you really be wearing more than swim shorts and a t-shirt for most of your vacation? As a general rule of thumb, trim that suitcase down.

If your group is into music, don’t forget to check out whether your rental has a docking station and what devices would be compatible.

Choose your travel crew wisely. Remember, you’ll be brushing elbows with these people for a good couple of days, and there aren’t too many places to retreat to when you’re sharing a full houseboat!

Bring lots of favorite board games, electronic games, books, and movies for those rare down time moments. There’s so much to do on the lake, it seems like you’ll never have down time.

But after dark or when the afternoon sun may be too hot in the middle of the day, it’s nice to have backup activities to keep yourselves entertained and enjoy your vacation just a little bit more.

It’s about Tennessee vacations at Center Hill Lake. When we say you’ll feel like a kid again, we mean it! The memories of your youth will come rushing back to you while you enjoy your Center Hill Lake vacation. Recreational activities at Center Hill Lake include, boating, camping, fishing, picnicking, wildlife watching, scuba diving, swimming, wakeboarding, jet skiing, water skiing, hiking and biking.

Center Hill Lake offers numerous lodging options including primitive camping, developed campgrounds, rental cabins, and houseboat rentals. There are also motels and bed and breakfast options available with close proximity to the lake. If you are looking to picnic at the lake Picnic Shelters are

available for rent at campgrounds and recreational access areas. Most developed campground locations amenities include water and electrical hookups, restrooms, showers, fresh water, and dump stations.

Fishing at Center Hill Lake is one of the favorite activities of lake visitors of all ages. All fisherman age 13 or older are required to have a valid Tennessee State fishing license. Fish from bass to bluegill can are caught year-round and can be caught from the shoreline or from a boat. Fishing boats are available for rent at a number of the lake marinas. Professional fishing guides are also available for hire.

Scuba diving is allowed at Center Hill Lake. Please remember that if you are scuba diving at Center Hill all divers are required display a Diver Down flag in the area where they are diving.

Whatever you decide, make sure the kid inside you gets to choose!  Center Hill Lake was created by the construction of a dam across the Caney Fork River. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers began construction in 1942 and completed construction in 1948. The lake is located near Smithville, Tennessee which is about an hour drive east of Nashville, TN. Center Hill Lake offers a wide range of activities for water and outdoor enthusiasts.

From our 24-hour fuel stations that accept all major credit cards to the new Blue Water Grille restaurant, every inch of our marina was designed with the boat owner’s convenience in mind. Our fully stocked Ship Store has everything you need to host a party or outfit your boat on Center Hill Lake, and our golf cart valet service will take you directly from the parking lot to the pier. To ensure that you have the safest boating experience, Hurricane Marina has also installed an extra-wide main pier that won’t buckle or warp over time and increased the lighting in parking areas and along all docks. We have installed a security gate and cameras through out the marina and parking lot for your safety.
