Scope of your role:

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll tackle complex user stories and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for both first-time users and educational innovation pioneers. You will be the advocate for our users, anticipating their needs, making sure they love our platform and ensuring it's extremely intuitive in order to help us go viral. Hereby key would be to understand the mental model of our users.You will be involved in every stage of the design design process - from creating user flows and wireframes to user testing and iterating.

UX/UI Designer

Our team consists of designers, developers, growth hackers and product owners and you will be working closely together and so be part of whole production cycle. We work agile, with 2 week sprints and mobile first. Your focus will be on interaction design and less so on the graphic design aspects of our UI. You will be involved in every stage of the design design process - from creating user flows and wireframes to user testing and iterating.

You will become an owner of your own features, working on them from scratch, based on the user stories provided by the PO, researching the best design practices with respect to users, competitors and conventions and deliver refined and tested designs to the development team. Hereby a strong knowledge of information architecture will be key!

You should be someone who is not afraid of complicated design challenges. We are not just building a website, but a large platform with multiple features which adds additional complexity when it comes to keeping things simple and user friendly.

UX/UI Designer

Your ultimate goal as a UI/UX Designer on our team will be to improve the quality of our designs, to inspire yourself and the rest of the team and ultimately to maximize for the success of our users.

What can you expect in terms of freedom and responsibilities? - Fast implementation of your designs - Working closely together with our whole innovation team - Help to define the user model and user interface for new and existing features on our

platform- Gauge the usability of new and existing products and making constructive suggestions for

change

Toolbox:Sketch, Material design, Axure, pen and paper, imagination and creative sauce

UX/UI Designer

Must haves: - You have work that shows your skills and experience in every stage of a design- Fundamental thinker with the ability to develop simple and engaging solutions to complex design problems- Self-starter approach and can-do thinking that pushes the boundaries- Realize the importance of data! Aim for objective design decisions. - Not just MVP! MVE minded- You dare to fail and are curious to explore problems and solutions. Always with your thick skin on!- You are self critical and able to identify suboptimal designs which need to be tested and iterated also in your own work.- Up to date with latest techniques and able to stimulate the concept development and inspire within our team- You have affinity with education and you're never done learning new things

Bonus points for: - Experience with large and small agile teams - Natural leader without the need to boss people around- Sensibility as to aligning UI design with the brand identity and styles- Experience with prototyping software, Axure or other prototyping environments- Experience with A/B testing - Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ember.js or similar web development technologies
