DESCRIPTION

Project laZook - Work Experience project A clickable prototype was designed and presented to laZook. The new elements of this product were a new main dashboard page, sales page and product page with redesigned features of price and stock management. laZook is an online marketplace platform that allows companies to manage their products in one place. The challenge was to research laZooks users and competition to design a new user interface and key screens. To solve this challenge I began by surveying laZooks users and understanding the company. From these initial conversations and results, a first prototype, personas and user flows were created. Two insights were found, users wanted to either see an overview of certain key information or they wanted to dig deeper. Four main screens were designed, a dashboard home page, a sales graph page, a category page and a product page. A second prototype was created with two aims. One to test out different styles of dashboard and two to test three user tasks identified as being important (changing product price, changing multiple stock item levels and finding orders). After a second round of usability testing the prototype was altered and then presented to laZook.

Hypothesis A

Hypothesis B

Page 31: UXDi Project 4 - laZook Presentation

It’s Monday morning and John is at the office. He is checking the overall results from the weekend.

He notices that his engagement rings are getting low. So John decides to look at this.

John realise that he doesn’t have any more stock. So he decides to raise the price of this item so that he can make more profit on the last few rings.

Scenario 1 - Usability Test 2

“Aim to test using how to reprice an engagement ring”

The same task was tested for Usability Test 2The purpose of the scenario was to see if users engage and understand the price management calculator

Page 32: UXDi Project 4 - laZook Presentation

John needs to update the stock quantity for a whole set of Solitaire gold rings and Single pearl earrings.

He enters the catalogue page and selects the products from the list

He adds 10 rings and 20 earrings to the overall stock and saves the changes.

Scenario 2 - Usability Test 2 - Change Multiple Stock

“Aim To test user with changing multiple stock items at the same time”

The purpose of the scenario was to see if users engage and understand the stock management feature

Page 33: UXDi Project 4 - laZook Presentation

John is trying to track a specific order. All he remembers is the product name: Nike Bolt running shoes

He goes into the product page and does a quick search for Nike Bolt shoes

He find the relevant order and reviews its status.

Scenario 3 - Usability Test 2 - Find specific Nike Lighting Bolt Spikes

“Aim To test user to find a specific order fo Nike Lighting Bolt Spikes”

The purpose of the scenario was to test if the quick search feature is relevant when there are many variables to search from

Page 34: UXDi Project 4 - laZook Presentation

Usability testing 2 - Analysis

* Most users found the simpler dashboard easier to understand

* There should be 2 accounts - Drop ship and Fulfilment

* There should be live alerts to alert any low stock or other issues
