Register Today! Each summer, University School of Jackson offers a wide variety of day camps and academic courses for kids of all ages.

This year, all of your favorites are back, including Driver's Ed., Musical Theater Camp, and our popular sports camps. What's new? We've added more academic courses, Baseball, Gymnastics, My Doll & Me, Storybook Chefs, and free courses for seniors through College Advising!

We have also made improvements to our online registration, including a one-stop registration and payment cart, and the option to auto-pay the balance once your selected camp begins.

The majority of the camps and courses offered are available to everyone, so feel free to invite friends who do not have children at USJ. Camps fill up quickly, so follow the link below and register online today!

Camp Bruins L e a rn i n g D i s g u is e d a s F u n ! Parents looking for an enriching way for

their child to spend this summer can turn

to USJ's Camp Bruins, a full-time summer

program for Junior Cubs through Fifth

Grade students. The goal of the program,

which runs from the end of the regular

school year through the start of the next,

is to provide participants with a safe, fun

environment that allows them to grow

over the summer.

"Although it is a structured program, it is disguised as fun," said Director Faith Dixon, who also

runs USJ's After-School program during the regular school year.

"Camp Bruins, which is offered as a service to our parents, is filled with activities that

complement and enhance the learning experience that students receive during the regular

school year. As we developed the program, we did so with the goal of meeting the needs of

our families while providing the best program possible for the student."

Mornings are spent in a variety of activities from free choice centers to those that mimic many

of the enrichments students have during the school year, such as gym, art, and music. Each

week students have a science lesson and a cooking activity and participate in the summer

library program.

To meet the needs of the diverse range of ages, students are in three age groups: Jr. Cubs

and Cubs, Jr. Kindergarten and Kindergarten, and First through Fifth Grade. Each week has a

different theme with Fridays being water days that often include inflatables.

The program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cost for attending five

days a week is $125, plus a $50 nonrefundable registration fee. Camp Bruins also offers a 3-

day and a 2-day-a-week program. Three days averages out to be about $85 a week and the

two day averages to be about $61 a week. Cost includes morning and afternoon snacks.

Lunch can be purchased from the cafeteria using the same debit card system as used during

the regular school year.

For more information on Camp Bruins, contact Faith Dixon at [email protected].
