RULING PLANETS

What are RULING PLANET? The most powerful Planets who rule a certain moment conjointly at a certain Place are called RULING PLANETS. These are: 1. Lord of Day: The seven days of the week are ruled by the seven planets. e.g. Sunday by SUN, Monday by Moon

and so on.

Page 3: User Manual

2. Lord of Moon Sign: The Planet who rules the sign in which moon transits at the moment. 3. Lord of Moon Star: The Planet who rules the sign of the star in which Moon transits. 4. Lord of Ascendant Sign: The Planet who rules the sign in which Ascendant (First House) falls. 5. Lord of Ascendant Star: The Planet who rules the star in which Ascendant (First House) falls. The above RULING PLANETS are in ascending order of strength. Rahu & Ketu: They are shadow bodies. They take the place of the container they are in. They act stronger than any planet with which they are associated, even if the planet so associated is in the exhalatation or in the own sign. Those planets are to be considered which are conjoined with and strongly aspected by RULING PLANETS. Those planets are to be rejected which are in the Star or Sub of a Retrograde Planet. Where this theory fails: If the Sub Lord of the Number is matching with the Star Lord of Moon or Ascendant, the result is ‘NO’ in the cases where either the Sub Lord of the Number or the Star Lord of Ascendant or Moon are detrimental to the issue we are examining.
