Some of the font used doesn’t work well with each other such as the one used

one ‘Bones..’

skyline.

The white border is messy. It could be a lot neater.

The way the movie title is layered just doesn’t look

right. It takes way the focus of the magazine.

These to much going on, on the one half of the page.

There’s just far to much text just on one side of the page.

I think the stars should be a brighter colour ,the black

blends in with her hair.

The main concern for my audience was for the border to took neat which gave it professional look to it. Although I felt that it would not only neater but better without the borer as I felt that it was too much white.

I learnt that I went wrong with the type of horror I was going for didn’t suit the house style of my magazine. Although this does hint horror which is what I was going for. A typography that looks like its been carved into table.

I decided to remove the sticker although it is a convention of a magazine. I didn’t think it was a right fit for mine.

I originally didn’t want to make it white because I thought there would be too much white on the page but deceasing the text above makes it stand out.

I changed the typography and the size to make it in line with the text above. I got the idea from empire magazine it helped it look more professional.

For the skyline I was using Empire magazine to help me. It gave me the ides to have it quite thick text like they do. It complements your masthead to have it white as a contrast .

I was finding it difficult to figure out what type of typography I should use but also I wanted my own twist to it. So I did some research and I was inspired by woman in blacks typography some of the words were smaller then the others which gave me the idea to do the same.

With my masthead I leant that I was originally going for the wrong kind of horror but looking at the style of other magazines my audiences prefers my new masthead.

• I made each decision to change the magazine on what I thought would target my audience better by using there feedback to help me draft my magazine. It has become the best way to target them by allowing them to construct it with me. Also by using my research on convention of a magazine and using empire magazine to help me make a judgement.
