unched physical Wallet card hasn't exactly taken the payments world by storm, but there may be onegood reason to have one: using it to extract cash from Visa or Mastercard gift cards.

As reddit user ABZR points out, Visa and Mastercard gift cards can be linked Sell your gift cards toyour Google Wallet account the same as other debit cards. You can then load up your Google Walletbalance with the gift cards. From there, you can withdraw cash from any ATM with your Wallet card.While there are sometimes fees associated with this transfer, Google has been waiving fees aroundthe holidays, so if you need cash and have a Wallet card, now's the time.
