Online building permit process as follows:

1- Using The System: o use the building permit online you have to follow the following steps: 1- Register with the MOSS (Municipal One Stop Shop) to give you a username and password for using the system. 2- Visit our website (www.mun.gov.bh ; see figure (1))

3- Then you should click on the option mentioned with red arrow in figure (1),and the page shown in figure (2) will be displayed for you.

4- After passing your account information you will be able to access the menu displayed in figure(3).

2- Enquiry Information certificate: In order to get the building regulations and any comment about your project before applying for final request you can fill this form and submit it, where you will get the regulations and comments (from PPD, municipality and road) about this project in the specified parcel.

Land lord: After entering the CR/CPR of the land owner you must click on find where the detail of the entered owner will be displayed if exist otherwise you should enter his/her detail as in figure (4). After that you must click on add to transfer the information to the form. Next, the address of the site must be specified, enter the plot number then press on View Location button where a map will be displayed with the exact location. Attached documents: In this form only the documents are required. -PDF file: you should scan the required documents in Balck and white(except the documents needed to be in color),then create one multisheet pdf file that contains all scanned documents. -Architectural and structural file: you should use fonts supported by Autochade, publish to DWF using layout tabs only.

3- Building Permit Application: In this option you will be able to apply for a final building permit.

Figure (5) Application usage: select the type of the permit needed; demolition, building, adding to exist building. Land Lord: the detail information about the land owner must be entered here. After entering the CPR/CR you must click on find button in order to view the owner detail; you will be able to modify the detail (name, mobile and email) as in figure (6).

After that you should select the type of the owner; individual, company or government. Tenant: the detail of the entities who is renting the land from the owner must be entered here. The entry process will be same as land lord section. Other Owner: sometimes there are multiple owners of the land, these owners must be specified here. Enter the CR/CPR then click on find where the detail will be displayed for you if exist, then you will be able to modify the detail. You will be able to delete the entered detail, click on delete button where a list will be displayed for you containing all the other owners.

click on close. Site Address: here you will specify the location details about the construction plot. Enter the plot number(if you know it) then click on view map where you will be able to view the exact location (figure (8)).

After that you should click on Ok button on the map where the zone code, block and building regulation will be displayed in the form (figure (9)).

Project Area Statements (m2): According to your permit type you must enter the fields in this part, for example our example here is related to building permit, so you will be able to enter building area only. After that you should specify the description of your project. Project Details: In the project detail section you should enter the detail of the project. Project ID consists of 9 characters or numbers, it will start with the municipal ID (notice the system will display it automatically as mentioned with red arrow in figure(9)), the next 6 numbers or characters will created by the engineering office.

External Entities: In this part you should enter the data required by the entities, if you didn’t specify the number of the required telephone line in the textbox mentioned with blue arrow, your request will not be transferred to batelco. In the section mentioned with red arrow you will select the architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical engineers names. These names will be entered in another option that will be explained later. In order to enter electricity detail you must click on the option mentioned with green arrow in figure (10).

Attached Documents: You should attach 3 files: 1- Documents that will contain all the supporting documents needed such as a copy of owner CPR etc, it should be in PDF format. 2- Architectural drawing which must be in DWF format. 3- Structural file, this is not required and it must be in DWF also. In order to create light weight files follow the same rules explained for the enquiry information certificate. Assign Office for supervision: In some cases the supervisor of the project will be another office, so assign office option must be selected then choose the office name as in figure (12).

Figure (12) Finally after entering all the required detail you should click on accept then submit button where a reference number for you request will be displayed.

4- Missing Documents:

In this option you will be able to reattach the files which are forwarded by the checkpoint in the MOSS(Municipal One Stop Shop). Notice that the file that you will attach must have the same name as the old one. All of these forwarded files will be displayed for you on this option (you will receive an email when the files are forwarded). You can view the file by clicking on OPEN. To add the updated file click on BROWSE button and select the file (notice figure (13)).

Then you should click on UPLOAD, after that your attached file will replace the old one. When the attachment operation done successfully it will be removed from this page.

5- Inspection: After the checkpoint receive and review the request it will forward it to the external entities (such as electricity, sewage, batelco , etc..). If any one of these entities needs any change in the files it will forward it to the engineering office which will receive a notification email. All of these forwarded files will be shown in this option (figure(14)).

To view the file click on OPEN. After opening the file it will be displayed for you(as in figure (15)) .

In the file there will be red remark explaining the changes needed. To add the updated file click on BROWSE button and select the file, then you should click on UPLOAD to add the file, your attached file will replace the old one. After attaching the file successfully it will be removed from this page. Even if the changes will be in one page of the document you must attach the full file which contains the modified page.

6- Renewal: All the expired permits will be displayed on this page in order to be renewed. To renew the permit you should select the desired permits then click on RENEWAL button. 7- Project Representatives:

In this form you will be able to enter the name of your engineers in order to use them in the building permit application form. This information will help for COEPP.

When you open this page it will display for you all the entered engineers or representative. To add new representative specify the detail in the section mentioned with red arrow(in figure (16)) then click on add button.

8- Supervision Requests: Here you will be able to view the supervision requests related to you. For example there is an XYZ office select in the assign office (in building permit application form) ABC office, then ABC office will be able to view a supervision request entered by XYZ office in this form.

The reference number of the request will be displayed in addition to the requested office name, then you can enter the supervision duration and click on accept link shown in figure (17). The request will not be transferred to the external entities unless the office accept the supervision.

9- Enquiry:

Here you can show the status of your submitted request.

You should enter your request number and your CR/CPR then click on the button shown in figure (18) where a detail report about the request will be displayed for you.
