ABSENCE POLICY Practices will be twice a week and all are MANDATORY, however vacations will be allowed through the months of May-September ONLY if not exceeding more than 1 week of practice and notified at least 3 weeks prior to the trip. Any last second missed practices in the Summer will be unexcused absences. Each practice is important for the success of each team. October-May EVERY practice is mandatory. Some unexcused absences are but not limited to: Birthdays, birthday parties, school dances, homework, non-graded school functions, concerts, other sports and High School Football games.

SICK POLICY Athlete must attend practice when sick. Athletes may not be required to participate; however, they must be present. An athlete may jeopardize their position if this rule is not followed. In addition, you must provide a doctor’s note. Extended sickness will jeopardize an athlete’s position on the team.

INJURIES If your child gets injured outside of practice, a coach must be contacted immediately. Once the individual has fully recovered, he or she may or may NOT be choreographed back into the routine. The gym owner/coaches have complete discretion in replacing such individuals for the rest of the season. In the event an injury occurs and your athlete cannot compete, the competition fee will be applied towards the fill in athlete. If you would like your athlete to attend the competition you will be required to purchase a spectator ticket OR pay a fee to be an alternate. If your child’s fill in competes and earns a full paid bid to The Summit and we ask he/she to stay on the team in addition to your child returning, the bid earnings will be split between both athletes.

TEAM COMMUNICATION Most communication is set forth by emails and mass texts. Each team will have a designated coach and a team representative(team mom). Team moms will be responsible for setting up team bonding outside of the gym and small duties requested by the coaches and/or gym owner. If a team mom has an idea of a team gift it must first be approved by Amanda. Any questions or team related problems please contact your coach first.
