In Pace, In Idipsum Dormian et RequiescamJohn Sheppard In peace and into the same I shall sleep and rest. If I give slumber to my eyes and to my eyelids drowsiness, I shall sleep and rest. Glory to the Father, and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit.

Night and Dayarr. Jay Althouse Night and day you are the one only you beneath the moon or under the sun whether near to me or far it’s no matter darling where you are I think of you day and night, night and day. Why is it so that this longing for you follows wherever I go in the roaring traffics boom, in the silence of my lonely room I think of you night and day, day and night under the hyde of me, there’s an oh such a hungry yearning inside of me and this torment won’t be through til’ you let me spend my life making love to you day and night, night and day

A Cappella ChoirMy Spirit Sang All DayGerald Finzi My spriit sang all day O my joy. Nothing my tongue could say, Only My Joy! and spake, tell me thy thought, Hide not thy joy. My eyes gan peer around, O my joy What beauty hast though found? Show us thy joy. My jealous ears grew whist; O my joy Music from heaven is’t, Sent for our joy? She also came and heard; O my joy, What, said she, is this word? What is thy joy? And I replied, O see, O my joy, ‘Tis thee, I cried, ‘tis thee: Thou art my joy.

Neither Angels, Nor Demons, Nor PowersTimothy Takach And I believe. So I believe. I will lift my eyes to the hills. There, dost thou well believe, no storm should come to mar the stillness of that angel-home; there should thy slumbers be weighed down with honey-dew, serenely blessed. And I believe. So I believe. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, Neither angels, nor demons, nor powers, neither things present nor things to come, neither height nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God. I do Believe.

LullabyDaniel Elder Lullaby, sing lullaby, The day is far behind you. The moon sits high atop the sky, Now let sweet slumber find you. Away, the day is done, and gone the sun that lit the world so brightly. The earth’s aglow with speckled show Of twinkling stars so sprightly Away, where the sunlight is beaming through a deep, cloudless blue, and the treetops are gleaming with a fresh morning dew; where the mountains are shining at the meadows below, in a brilliant white lining of a new fallen snow. Close your eyes, breathe in the night; a softer bed I’ll make you. The trial is done, all danger gone; now let far dreaming take you. Away, where the ocean is lapping at a soft, pearly shore, and the swaying palms napping as their swinging fronds soar. Now the dark night approaches, yet so soft and so mild. Lullaby, sing lullaby; sleep now, my child.

The GroundOla Gjeilo Heaven and earth are full of thy glory. Hosanna, hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Blessed is He who comes. Hosanna in the highest. Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world, Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world, Lamb of God, grant us peace.

Daniel, Daniel, Servant of the LordUndine Moore Oh, the king cried, “Oh! Daniel, Daniel a-that-a Hebrew Daniel, Servant of the Lord!” Among the Hebrew nation, one hebrew Daniel was found. They put him in a-the lion’s den, he stayed there all night long. Now the king in his sleep was troubled, and early in the morning he rose, to find God had sent a-his angel down to lock the lion’s jaws!

Love PsalmDarmon Meader Days come, days go. we try to take the time to let love grow. Don’t ignore the sands of time. just let a little love in, yours and mine. Friends come and friends will go. The ones that last a lifetime, savor so. Life flows on, so sublime. But only if we stop and take some time. Every season, listen to the rhythm of the earth and sky. The rhyme and the reason. Of living in today, while thinking of tomorrow. Days pas and nights unfold. The innocence of youth becomes the wisdom of the old. We must remember love and once again, we’ll learn to live a life we love. Amen

Well-Rounded?A well-rounded student, entails the efforts of a student to escape the confounds of just your major; essentially, knowing a lot about a lot. I think this mission of Central to redefine what ‘well-rounded’ means is a noble and applicable prerequisite to life after graduation

Music at CentralMy involvement in music ensembles throughout the past 3.5 years has arguably MADE my college experience. It is incredibly humbling to look back and see how so much joy and excitement could stem from just a simple home-stay in Dunkerton, Iowa, to the countless friendships created on long bus tours, to being fully immersed in the Brazilian culture and to the great (almost daily!) opportunity to make beautiful music with incredibly passionate musicians/directors. Music at Central has grounded me in a new found understanding of and for excellence; one which has positively effected every aspect of my life.

Why Central?I chose Central because I had a wonderful overnight visit which included getting to know people from both the A Cappella Choir and Vocal Combos; I met a lot of people that night that I’m great friends with today!

Why Choir? For me choir is a much appreciated break from the classroom. After a busy day of taking notes, reading, and crunching numbers going to choir lets me use the other side of my brain. It helps me de-stress because even if I have homework that needs to get done I know thinking about it during choir won’t make it happen so I get to concentrate all of my focus on making music.
