“God is your inexhausti-
ble and ready supply.
Out of Him all good flows,
in Him all good exists.
This law of infinite abun-
dance is not a cold, life-
less metaphysical concept, but a living reality
that you can experience.” Patterns for Self-
Unfoldment, by Randolph and Leddy Schme-
lig
Are you ready to experience a won-
derful new adventure in faith? Let me tell
you a story:
Once upon a time there lived a woman
with two small children. She was entirely on
her own with no support from anyone other
than that she could create for herself. She
had been raised by parents who used words
like “poor” or “impoverished” to describe
their financial life. “Money does not grow
on trees” was used commonly. “You have to
work hard for anything you want” was an-
other. There was a definite poverty con-
sciousness pervading her growing up years.
During a very low ebb in this woman’s
life, with two children to support, no visible
means of income, no prospects, and abso-
lutely no money, she found her way into a
New Thought church.
She came looking for answers. Why
had her life turned out this way? What could
she do to make it better. How could she help
her children thrive?
After several months of attending each
Sunday, she was moved to enroll in a class in
prosperity consciousness the church was of-
fering. It was free and although by this time
she had found a job, she could not have af-
forded class fees.
One of the requirements for the stu-
dents attending this class was tithing. The
minister leading the class let it be known that
any tithes were 100% refundable if the class
was not effective in making her life better.
She decided to give it a try, although did not
feel that she could give the whole tithe.
Weeks went by and she attended the
class faithfully. She did the work that was
required of her, spent time volunteering at
the church on Sundays, and tithed — proba-
bly only about 1% of her meager income.
By the 8th week of the class, amazing
things began to happen. She found out
about and was offered a new, higher paying
job which also suited her interests much bet-
ter. One of the challenges she had been
dealing with was a rocky relationship with
her eldest daughter. She found that the rela-
tionship had begun to improve as she
learned tools through the class in how to deal
with life more effectively. A new and much
nicer place to live found her through friends
she had made in the class. Life was really
beginning to look up. And it just continued
to get better and better.
Can you guess who this woman is?
This first prosperity class was the beginning
of my journey into practical spirituality.
Since becoming a minister, I have taught this
class (the 4T class) over ten times and am so
excited to be offering it again beginning
September 10th. It worked for me and it
will work for you. I am such a fan of Stret-
ton Smith’s 4T program and am thrilled that it
now has a new and exciting format which still
includes the prayer groups that were so
powerful in my spiritual awakening. I have
lived out of poverty consciousness and I have
lived in prosperity consciousness — and I
am not just talking about prosperity in

the financial sense. I am talking about abun-
dance in all forms. The four areas of my life,
Health, Relationships, Creative Expression
and Finances, were all helped by this class.
Having experienced both poverty and pros-
perity, it was a no brainer for me to choose
the latter.
One of the most effective tools that is
part of this wonderful course is the tool of group prayer. Mastermind Groups are
formed at the second class and those in your
group are your prayer partners for the
length of the class. Many powerful experi-
ences have resulted from these prayers.
“Where two or more are gathered…” has
been proven again and again.
I have seen people in these classes
find their perfect jobs. I have seen new and
blessed relationships being transformed. I
have seen people restored to physical health
and well-being.
Registration is going on now. There
will be an introductory meeting after the ser-
vice on Sunday, September 7th at which time
any questions can be answered.
One of the reasons I enrolled so many
years ago was because I was assured that if
the program didn’t work for me (assuming,
of course, that I did all the work) that 100% of
the money tithed would be returned to me.
As an aside, in the 25 years that I have
been a minister, only twice have students
asked for their money back and I have facili-
tated this class for hundreds of students.
It works! The workbooks and CDs are
$55.00 which is not refundable. They are
yours to keep so that you can re-use them
again and again.
Blessings,
Rev. Donna
THE 4T PROSPERITY PROGRAM
Beginning Wednesday, September 10th at
10 am and again at 7:00 pm in the Manse, this
amazingly effective 12 week program will be
presented by Rev. Donna Lind. This is a
new updated program for the 21st Century,
so even if you have
done the 4T in the
past, you will love
the changes. This is
a course in prosper-
ity transformation.
The 4T program is
a course in com-
mitment. The stu-
dent who partici-
pates in this course can expect a renewal of
mind and a changed and uplifted conscious-
ness that expresses in the manifest realm.
Thousands of students in other churches and
spiritual organizations can attest that this pro-
gram is life changing and there is a 100%
money back guarantee!

21st Annual
World Day of Prayer
On September 11, 2014, our
Unity Chapel in Hemet will
join our prayers with the
global Unity community as
we observe Unity’s World
Day of Prayer. World Day of
Prayer gives us an opportu-
nity to come together in celebration of our
oneness with God, with each other, and with
our world. Through prayer we foster peace
and wholeness in our community and in our
individual lives.
The theme for this year is “We Are the
Light of the World: Let Your Light Shine!”
This year, for the first time, we will symbol-
ize the power of our united prayers by ask-
ing people everywhere to light a virtual can-
dle at www.worlddayofprayer.org. These
candles will be displayed as points of light
on a global map. This virtual candlelighting
will continue through September 11th. A
twenty-four hour prayer vigil will begin at
Unity Village on the evening of Wednesday,
September 10, and continue through Thurs-
day, September 11. Unity invites people of
all faiths to join in this sacred prayer activ-
ity. Names can be submitted for prayer
online at www.worlddayofprayer.org.
Here at our church, our dedicated chaplains
will keep the chapel open all day Septem-
ber 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for drop-in
prayers. Prayer list forms will be available
for you to facilitate your listing of your
prayer requests.

Wednesday Meditation/Oneness Blessing
Awaken to our truth of Oneness with God
and all creation.
6-7pm
Blessing givers:
Lucinda Moss, Virginia Gerber, and Elea-
nore Ruise
We are often asked: "What exactly is a Bless-
ing Giver and what do you go through to be-
come one?" I'd like to shed some light on the
preparation involved in becoming a Deeksha
Blessing Giver.
The course taken in order to become a Deek-
sha Blessing Giver, also know as the Oneness
Awakening Course, is typically taught over two
full days, or approximately 18 hours. It is de-
signed to help a person move beyond the
limitations and structures of the mind. When
we are identified with the mind-- we filter our
experience through our past conditioning--
we are in fact not living, but merely existing,
merely surviving. When we live within the
structures of the mind, life isn't unfolding in a
fresh way but mostly we are running mental
programs that greatly color our perception of
life. The purpose of life is simply to live-- to
experience reality as it truly is-- this is a very
natural joyous state where the senses are
alive, the heart is open, and you experience
the Oneness in everything around you.
The course content employs the various
teachings and processes that the Trainer was
taught from the Oneness University and also
through their own personal life experience. I
became a Oneness Trainer after traveling to
Oneness University in India in September,
2013 to attend a 10 day course. The Blessing
Giver course is not so much a course that con-
veys information or that helps you work on
yourself, as much as it a vehicle through
which you are shown directly what life is like
outside the realm of the mind-- the vast peace,
stillness, and love that is revealed through di-
rect experiences. Through these direct experi-
ences, inner
conflict is diminished, mind chatter is re-
duced, and significant movement is made to-
wards the healing of relationships with par-
ents, partners and children. Deep-seated
emotional charges are released, many that
have been in place since childhood. The par-
ticipant is also guided through meditation
practices that help open, balance and clear
the chakras (energy centers), clear the nadis
(energy channels) and helps activate the Kun-
dalini energy which is instrumental in leading
us to higher states of consciousness.
The two day process culminates in a special
sacred ceremony where the participant re-
ceives initiation as a Oneness Blessing
(Deeksha) Giver. Most importantly through
this amazing process, the giver becomes very
aware they, individually are NOT doing any-
thing other than allowing the Divine to help
mankind. We have learned through this two
day process to empty ourselves in a way that
allows for the transfer of Divine energies to
flow through us directly into the recipient. The
Deeksha blessing unfolds differently in every
individual as it depends on what the receiver
is most in need of at the time. It is a personal,
intimate interaction between them and their
concept of the Divine. We have all been awed
by recipients sharing stories of visions, in-
sights, energy and grace that they have re-
ceived after only one Deeksha blessing.
I will be conducting Oneness Awakening
Courses from time to time, if interested please
let me know. I could also direct you to a
nearby course. In the meantime, please visit
our Wednesday night meditation to experi-
ence a sense of deep relaxation and a transfer
of Divine energy that supports an Awakening
into the Oneness of ALL there Is.

SEPTEMBER IS
MEMBERSHIP
MONTH
The Membership Team, headed by Glenda Al-
len will be taking applications for new and re-
newing members.
If you attend Unity Chapel and feel that you
would like to take the next step in your spiritual
journey, make sure you speak with Glenda or
one of the team members.
A table will be set up in the hall during this
month with information about joining. The Ser-
vice Ministry opportunities will also be avail-
able to you.
Why Join or Why Re-Join?
Membership signifies a desire to make a
deeper commitment to this ministry on two lev-
els.
The first level is your own spiritual de-
velopment. Participation in this community
allows you to evolve intentionally as a spiritual
person. You have no doubt found support in
living a principle-centered and God-guided
life. By “God-guided” we mean cultivating the
quiet mind that responds to the Universal Wis-
dom implanted inside you. You grow in faith,
trust, confidence and courage.
A spiritual awakening can show up in
many ways: as a healthier relationship, greater
expression of your creativity, a deeper sense of
love and belonging, more balance, stability
and harmony, thus a vital, fulfilled and pur-
poseful life.
Second, you are intentionally contrib-
uting to our community vision which is sim-
ply to remember the divine within ourselves
and others.
We are doing something great for the
world that none of us can do alone! You have
become part of a community of caring people
that heals lives, achieves dreams and empow-
ers others like yourself. We look forward to
welcoming you again as an active member of
our Unity family.
Unity offers a new way of thinking and
a new way of being. It is a way that is full of
hope, love, peace, abundance, healing and joy.
It is a way of oneness that allows people to truly
see one another as brothers and sisters.
Unity honors the universal truths in all
religions and respects each individual’s right to
choose a spiritual path.
We will examine our sacred responsibil-
ity, individually and collectively, to make a
positive difference through personal example
and active service in our churches, our commu-
nities and our world.
Those new members who have applied
for membership and have taken the Founda-
tions Class will be received into the Unity Fam-
ily on Sunday, October 5th.
Note: If you are a current member of Unity

a member of Unity Chapel.

the church.
4. All other interested persons.
IN OTHER WORDS: Everyone!
WHEN AND WHERE?
Week One:

Week Two:
Sunday, September 28 at noon.
Week Three:
Sunday, October 5 at noon.
All Classes will be held in the
Hall.
New members will be installed
during the Sunday service on
October 12th, 2014.
WEEK ONE: How did Unity be-
gin and what do we believe?
This hour session will deal with
the founders of the Unity Move-
ment, Charles and Myrtle Fill-
more and what transpired in their
lives to give them the energy and
clarity it took to begin their work.
Topics will include the begin-
nings of Silent Unity, the publish-
ing work and Unity School of
Christianity.
WEEK TWO: The Five Princi-
ples and how to use them in our
lives.
There are five basic Unity teach-
ings:
1. God is good and everywhere
present.
2. The spirit of God lives within
each person, therefore, all
people are inherently good.
3. We create our life experi-
ences through our way of
thinking.
4. There is power in affirmative
prayer, which we believe in-
creases our connection to
God.
5. Knowledge of these spiritual
principles is not enough. We
must live them.
WEEK THREE: Is it for me?
Rosemary Fillmore Rhea, the
great-granddaughter of Charles
and Myrtle Fillmore wrote:
“What is Unity? Unity is a family
of loved ones drawn together by
their mutual belief in an idea. The
idea that holds us is that of a good
and all-powerful God whose love
indwells us and gives us every-
thing we need to live happy,
healthy, productive lives. This
idea and the people who believe it
have created incredible blessings
of positive thought and prayer for
our world. Our history is filled
with stories of answered prayer,
prosperity demonstrations, mira-
cles of healing and peace. Our
future holds no less, for as each of
us unfolds as God’s beloved ex-
pression, our individual spiritual
growth speeds the spiritual devel-
opment of our world.”
Unity offers a new way of think-
ing, a new way of being. It is a
way full of hope, love, peace,
abundance, healing and joy. It is
a way full of oneness that allows
people truly to see one another
as brothers and sisters.
Unity honors the universal truths
in all religions and respects each
individual’s right to choose a
spiritual path.
This week we will examine our
sacred responsibility, individu-
ally and collectively, to make a
positive difference through per-
sonal example and active service
in our churches, our communities
and our world.
UNITY CHAPEL Five basic ideas make up our beliefs:
God is absolute good, every-
where present.
Every human being has a
spark of divinity, the
Christ spirit within. Our
essence is of God, and
therefore human beings
are inherently good.
We create our experiences
by the activity of our
thoughts. Everything in
our lives has its beginning
in thought.
Prayer and meditation are
important ways to
heighten our connection
with God.
Knowing and understand-
ing Unity principles is not
enough – we must also
live the truth we know.

Dear Unity Family,
We’d like to thank you for your generosity.
You helped make it possible for us to attend
summer camp.
Each year Unity Chapel holds “kids to
camp” fundraiser potlucks and a cookie
walk at Christmas time to raise money to
help kids from our church go to Unity sum-
mer camp. The church is able to pay for half
of the summer camp fee.
There were some years when we weren’t
sure if we were going to be able to go to
camp because of financial hardships for our
family. The church helped and our mom
saved her pennies and we were able to go.
Children from 8 to 18 years old, who have
an understanding of Unity principles, and
are active in their churches are eligible to
attend. Teenagers are encouraged to attend
other events that the Southwest Region of
Unity hosts throughout the year in California
and in Arizona.
In June of each year the kids from Unity
churches in Santa Barbara, Thousand Oaks,
Tustin, Hemet, Aliso Viejo, San Diego, Cali-
fornia; Mesa, Phoenix, Tucson, Prescott,
Flagstaff, Arizona; and Las Vegas, Nevada
go to the mountains in Wrightwood for a
week of summer fun and spiritual learning.
We have attended Unity summer camp for
many years. Unfortunately, we are too old
to go to kids’ camp anymore, so now we
give back to our spiritual community by vol-
unteering to be kids’ camp counselors. We
enjoy working with the kids, as our mentors
did with us when we were little. It is a lot of
work, but quite rewarding too.
The last two years, the older teenagers
(YOUers…Youth of Unity) went to summer
camp at Unity Village in Lee’s Summit, Mis-
souri. A dozen teens from our region went
to meet with about one hundred twenty
other teens from all over the United States
and even some teens from Trinidad! We
spent a week together in spiritual practice,
community service projects and having lots
of fun.
We thank each one of you, our church fam-
ily, for your continued support of the “Kids
to Camp” fundraiser program. It has been
said that the youth of Unity are our future
and we feel we are a good investment.
With much love and gratitude, big hugs and
kisses,
Corey and Cassidy Laughy

SOLAR COMES TO
UNITY
It has been the vision of
Unity for many years to
bring solar to our facility. That vision
is now coming to fruition. On Septem-
ber 17th, the work will begin with
New Day Solar as project designers.
The 39 panels will be installed on the
west side roof of the Fellowship Hall.
Installation will take about 3 days.
When we are up and running we will
see out electric bills decreased by
95%. Unity will own the equipment.
The loan for this project was made by
one of our loving Unity members. The
project will pay for itself in 5 years.
Some trees will need to be removed,
but we can assure you that new, beau-
tiful trees will replace them shortly.
NEW SIGN SAYS IT ALL
This beautiful new sign that greets
every person who enters our church
and can be seen easily by those who
walk and drive by was the vision of
Jim Roberts. Jim has been invaluable
here over the last several months as
he has stepped up and helped us with
many repairs and upgrades to secure
our facility. The Unity board, staff and
all our members express our deep
gratitude to Jim for his love of Unity
and the countless hours he spends
here assisting us with whatever we
need. We are blessed!
