Unitube Light-armoured Cable Application: Duct, Aerial, Direct buried. Description The fibres, either of single-mode or multimode type, are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tube is filled with a water-resistant filling compound. Over the tube a layer of corrugate steel tape is longitudinally folded. The tube is wrapped with a layer of PSP(Polyethylene Steel Tape Polyethylene) longitudinally. Between the PSP and the loose tube water-blocking material is applied to keep the cable watertight and compact. Two parallel steel wires are placed at the two sides of the steel tape. The cable is completed with a polyethylene (PE) sheath. Key notes - Accurate fibre excess length to ensure good mechanical and temperature performance - High strength loose tube that is hydrolysis resistant and special tube filling compound to ensure a critical protection of fibre - Crush-resistance and flexibility - PSP enhancing the cable crush-resistance, impact-resistance and moisture-proof - Two parallel steel wires to ensure tensile strength - PE sheath protecting cable from ultraviolet radiation - Small diameter, light weight and installation friendliness - Long delivery length - ANSI/TIA/EIA 568AMechanical and Environmental Properties
