73 UNIQUE HOMES unique PERSPECTIVES BY STACEY STAUM HIS AND HERS LA Closet Design’s renowned Lisa Adams has unveiled her latest project from San Diego. Designer Lisa Adams, who launched LA Closet Design in 2007, recently completed the redesign of an 840-square-foot mahogany closet in a 6-bedroom, 7.5-bath La Jolla home. The closet connects her master to his master. Adams shares, “I love that it’s a three-room closet. It’s still one big space to share together, but at the same time they have a separation of space. Within each room, I really like that it’s unique to the husband and unique to the wife.” Some distinctive features include custom drawer inserts lined in blue suede, a pull-out ironing board drawer, a steamer cabinet and a custom Brown safe integrated into the cabinetry. A tall peninsula tie display showcasing rolled ties and hanging ties on pull-out tie racks make a huge statement in this space. The shoe walls have back lighting. Three-way mirror cabinets, a vanity and pull- out pants racks complete the design. The closet also features products from Adams’ newest line, LAMOVE Mobile Closet. Adams explains, “We decided to make a really functional space for packing. Really, the notion behind that is that there’s a space for everything. Even when you’re packing it doesn’t leave you to rely on memory and leave you wondering what else is left to pack. There’s a spot for everything, and everything is in its place.” Plush seating options, breakfast bars, wine chillers, cosmetic refrigerators, and more are available through LA Closet Design. LA Closet Design also offers personal shopping and wardrobe styling services.
