حفل ختام المخيم القيادي الداخلي التاسع للفتيات

في الهاشمي قاعة في فعالياته اختتام حفل للفتيات التاسع الداخلي القيادي المخيم أقــام راديسون ساس، رعى الحفل الشيخة أوراد الجابر األحمد الصباح وحضر الحفل كل من النائب السابق عبدالواحد العوضي، الدكتور طارق السويدان ووفود من دولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة

استمر الــذي المخيم عن بنبذة الريش وإيــالف المير فاطمة من كل الحفل عريفتا افتتحت عشرة أيام من 4 لغاية 14 يوليو لهذا العام، والذي احتوى العديد من المحاضرات اإلعالمية، النائب السابق عبدالواحد العوضي كلمته التثقيفية والرحالت. ثم ألقى القيادية، السياسية، تبعها كلمة لألستاذة سمية المطوع والدة الطالبة دالل السلطان تتحدث فيها عن تجربتها كأم

Design awards in Germany and Australia

The Passat CC enchants the world with its style

International panels of design experts have chosen their winners and one Volkswagen model has made an exceptional impression: the Passat CC. Volkswagen’s four-door coupé was presented with the “red dot Design Award 2009 - Best of the Best”, once again highlighting Volkswagen’s first-class and attractive design concept. The elegant model has also sparked excitement down under in Australia, a statement backed-up by the fact that it has recently won the “Australian International Design Award”.

Martin Kropp, designer at Exterior Design Studio 1, accepted the “red dot Design Award” for Volkswagen during a ceremony held recently in Germany. The “red dot Design Award” is one of today’s most coveted awards that a designer can win for a creative product. The prize has been awarded every year since 2000.

In March, the Passat CC was awarded the prestigious “iF Product Design Award 2009” in Hanover. At the end of May, the coupé also swept the board down under where it won the renowned

EfficientDynamics reigns supreme as BMW takes total wins to 40 since inaugural contest

German premium automotive manufacturer BMW celebrated three category wins this year at the International Engine of the Year Award, the world’s premier engine contest.

Its EfficientDynamics development strategy has achieved an unrivalled balance between the efficiency and power of its engines, making them a favorite among the 65 members of the international panel of judges. Prizes were awarded across eight engine classes based on size, as well as three special categories, and the award for the overall winner.

The BMW group reigned supreme at the content across three engine classes: its V8 power unit used in the BMW M3 and the straight-six with Twin Turbo Technology used in the BMW 3 Series, BMW 1 Series and the BMW X6 were both winners in their respective classes. Addax Bank Affiliate Partners with IFC for

Acquisition

Bahrain-based Addax Bank, a premier private equity institution focused on investments in the MENA region, announced today that the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), a member of the World Bank Group, will make a $14 million investment in its associate company, First Education Holding (“FEH”).

IFC’s financing will support the acquisition of two established K-12 schools in Jordan and bring the total number of students across FEH schools to over 7,000. This will also be the fourth acquisition by FEH.

FEH is the Bank’s education platform, focused on acquiring and managing schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12 across the MENA region, with total student enrollment of approximately 3,500 across its schools in the UAE and Egypt. FEH provides strategic management support to schools, thereby optimizing the growth and quality of its education businesses, while preserving the unique atmosphere, ethos and culture of each school.

Cooper S also claimed victory, although BMW didn’t add to their 6 overall winners titles since the inaugural contest in 1999. This year’s impressive haul takes their grand total to 40 trophies during the 11 years that the International Engine Award has been taking place.

BMW’s dominance further rewards the company’s belief that sustainability and performance are inseparable, a belief put into practice with EfficientDynamics measures being implemented step-by-step across the entire vehicle portfolio. The introduction EfficientDynamics began with engine related technology solutions being built into 2007 and 2008 BMW models. As of August last year, 120,000 vehicles were equipped with EfficientDynamics technologies. In the next stage of the EfficientDynamics strategy BMW Group will be introducing the BMW X6 and the BMW 7 Series ActiveHybrid models that integrate the latest electric and petrol engine technologies, providing a highly efficient power train and further reduced emissions. These models will no doubt give next year’s judges plenty to consider.

Safety at the highest level: another five stars for the TiguanUS-NCAP confirms first-class results from Europe

Top values also in roof stability test from IIHS

The Tiguan is not only one of the most popular, but also one of the safest vehicles in its segment: once more the high level of competence at Volkswagen in the field of safety has been confirmed by top results in three independent crash test procedures.

The incredible effectiveness of the passive safety systems in the Tiguan was confirmed by independent testers in the USA and in Europe: the Tiguan was awarded the top value of five stars in July by the American NCAP (New Car Assessment Program). Three areas of safety were assessed by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration): the front crash, the side crash and rollover stability. In the front and side crash, the Tiguan, Europe’s most popular SUV, was awarded five stars each for the categories occupant protection for the driver and front passenger, and four stars for rollover safety. The risk of injury was assessed as being very low in all cases.

The first-class performance of the Tiguan is based on a comprehensive safety concept which includes the stable passenger safety cell and the energy-absorbing deformation zones around the vehicle. The IIHS (Insurance Institute of Highway Safety), which was founded by insurance companies in the USA and has been carrying out crash test programmes regularly since 1995, stated that the compact SUV’s crash response was excellent and awarded the vehicle the “Top Safety Pick”.

Furthermore, the popular off-road vehicle achieved the best ever value in the compact SUV segment, four stars, for the roof stability test in which it was laden down with four times its own weight.

The Tiguan received the highest possible award of five stars in 2009 from the more stringent EuroNCAP Test, in which the vehicle is tested in four categories (protection for adult passengers, child protection, pedestrian protection, safety assist systems).

The reason for the high level of safety potential in the Tiguan can be found in the high stability of the body structure and the corresponding protection systems. A design with light-weight, profile-intensive construction using form-hardened, highest-strength sheet steel was chosen for the Tiguan. The shell construction of the steel body also offers the occupants optimal protection under crash conditions. But the numerous driver assist systems including ABS, ESP with brake assist, TCS, EDL with trailer stabilisation and EBC also contribute to the outstanding safety.

Inside, the carefully matched interplay of body and restraint systems ensure that passenger impact is kept to a minimum in the event of an accident. Three-point retractable seat belts are standard for all seats. Belt force limiters to reduce impact to the chest are integrated into both front seats and the two outer rear seats. Furthermore, electronically activated belt tensioners in

front insure the optimal exploitation of the available safety zone. The front airbags in combination with the belt restraint system provide optimal protection for the driver and front passenger during a frontal collision. The completely newly developed front seats and head restraints are designed especially to provide extensive protection from cervical spine injuries during a rear collision. Child safety is rounded out by standard Isofix anchorage for the rear seats. Standard curtain airbags and side airbags integrated in the seat backrests add to the allround safety of the Tiguan.

In addition to triggering the protective restraint systems, the belt tensioners and the airbags, the Tiguan’s airbag trigger system

communicates with other control units: in the event of an accident, the hazard warning lights are activated, locked doors are unlocked, the interior lights are switched on and the fuel pump is switched off.

But pedestrian protection played a major role in the development of the Tiguan from the very beginning. All the relevant parts of the vehicle’s front were designed with the pedestrian in mind, and the inner sheet metal structure of the bonnet in particular was optimised for pedestrian protection. For example, there is a specially-designed soft foam body underneath the bumper cover which is designed to reduce the severity of leg injuries primarily.

Volkswagen named “Advertiser of the year”in Cannes

Jury honours trailblazing role in car advertising

At the 56th International Advertising Festival “Cannes Lions 2009”, Europe’s largest automaker was presented with its first Lion in the “Advertiser of the year” discipline – thus receiving the highest accolade in the advertising industry. Volkswagen has been presented with around 150 “advertising Oscars” in Cannes since 1961. “By honouring Volkswagen today, we are honouring a company that has been a symbol of creative and innovative marketing in the automobile industry for decades,” Terry Savage, Festival Chairman, said during the award ceremony.

Commenting on the award, Christian Klingler, member of the board of management of the Volkswagen brand with responsibility for sales, marketing and after sales, said: “Volkswagen is “Das Auto”: going forward, we will continue to present our brand claim in the form of outstanding creative campaigns. We are very proud of this award and would also like to thank our agencies DDB Worldwide and Almap for their partnership and cooperation as well as so many creative concepts.”

Cannes Lions Festival has frequently commended Volkswagen’s advertising for its innovative and inspiring approach. At the end of the 1950s Volkswagen set a new trend in advertising with the

“Think Small” Beetle campaign in the USA. For the first time, a product was not superelevated, but given a down-to-earth portrayal with a clear reference to customer benefit. This campaign was instrumental in cementing Volkswagen’s image in the USA.

A further highlight was the German TV campaign for the Beetle called “The Beetle – it goes and goes and goes...” (Der Käfer – er läuft und läuft und läuft) launched in 1968 which Volkswagen used to democratize mobility and thereby also convey the values the company still embodies today – responsible, valuable, innovative.

Volkswagen kept on writing advertising history in the decades to come, for instance with the “Divorce” campaign for the Golf in the UK during the 1980s and its slogan: “If only everything in life was as reliable as Volkswagen.” The automaker continues to set advertising trends today, for example with the Horst Schlämmer campaign in 2007, primarily transmitted via video blogs, podcasts and YouTube, thereby typifying the spirit of the times.

The “Cannes Lions” International Advertising Festival is the largest and most prestigious meeting of its kind in the advertising community. Each year, over 10,000 participants from 94 countries meet on the Côte d’Azur. A jury assesses 28,000 advertisements in a total of 11 disciplines including Film, Direct, Radio, Design, Press, Media, Promo, PR, Outdoor, Cyber, Titanium and Integrated. Grand Prix, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards are presented in each category.

The “Advertiser of the year” award is a special category and the highest honour at the Cannes Lions Festivals.

Porsche AG in the Zuffenhausen district of Stuttgart has proved immensely popular, attracting a quarter of a million visitors from all over the world within just five months, all of them admiring the more than 80 historical sports cars on

display amid the boldly designed architecture of the Museum. For comparison, the “old“ Porsche Museum accommodating only 20 cars attracted “only“ 80,000 visitors a year.

Achim Stejskal, Head of the Porsche Museum was delighted to welcome Shuya Tachikawa, a friend and aficionado of Porsche from Tokyo as the Museum’s 250,000th visitor. “Car fans all over the world have quickly realised that it is really worth your while to make the journey to Zuffenhausen“, says Stejskal, who expects an even greater flood of visitors in the upcoming holiday months.

The number of groups of visitors who have already enjoyed more than 1,000 guided tours through the 5,600 square metre (60,200 sq ft) Exhibition also remains most significant, with only a few group slots still remaining open for August.

The Porsche Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays from 9:00 to 18:00. Admission is eight Euro, the reduced fee is four Euro. Children up to the age of 14 in the presence of an adult are free.

وتدفق النفط منها ولم تشتعل ولم أكن أجرؤ أن أذكر

عندما المنطقي من فليس الـــوزراء.. لمجلس ذلــك

يسألوني " كم بئر طفيتوا اليوم؟ " أقول لهم أننا اليوم

أشعلنا خمسة آبــار!!!.. هل كانت هناك مؤامرة؟ أم

ماذا؟ هذا ما سنكشفه في الحلقة القادمة.

ايضا.

كل بنت تطمح أن تكون شخصية بارزة يفخر بها الجميع وتكون اسم المع في مجال عملها.. موعيب إن البنت تكسب صداقة ناس أكبر منها شهرة وةمكانة بالعكس فأنا من وجهة نظري أجد أنها فرصة لنسلط األضواء على عقليتهم وأسلوب حوارهم لكي نكون منافسين أكفاء

قادرين على إثبات الذات من خالل الثقافة والحضور الدائم.وصلوله.. مــا لــربــع نــوصــل نــحــاول مــا واحــنــا غيرنا نــجــاح وننتقد نعقب أن العيب لكن هناك كثير من الشخصيات التي نضرب فيها المثل، جدتي الله يرحمها أكبر مثال يقتدى

به.. الشيخة أوراد الصباح األم الحنونة وغيرهم الكثيرات.كل بنت ممكن إنها تكون قاعدة مثيرة ومشرفة لمجتمعنا إذا أعطت من نفسها لخدمة هذا

الوطن واستثمار طاقاتها للعمل اإلنساني وإثراء مجد بلدنا ورفع قدرها.

مدرسة االتيكيت!

عشان ما يزعلون الشباب مني هذا الموضوع طرحه علي أحد األشخاص وحبيت أن أتطرق هناك يكون أن اقترح فقد العامة، باألماكن واحترامها البنت مع التعامل كيفية وهو له

مدرسة تعلم االتيكيت عند الرجال النهم يفتقرون للتهذيب والجنتلة على حد قوله.مثال أن يقوم الرجل بفتح باب السيارة أو المطعم لزوجته أو أن يمشي بمحاذاتها ال أن

يسبقها وكأنه يبي الفكة!

االختالف في وجهات النظر ال يفسد للود قضية، قد يكون هذا رأيه و لكن لما ال ليس عيب أن يكون الرجل لطيف يحسن معاملة المراة و لكن العيب أن يتمادى فيه وعندها يقول )أنا

أحاول أن أكون جنتل(!

مابي أتزوج اللحية!!

الشديد ليس فقط يونسني. لألسف أبي واحد ويــاه!! أتمشى اللحية تخرعني!! أستحي المتكلم هنا هي فتاة في السادسة عشرة من عمرها أو في سن المراهقة بل أصبح هذا هو

رأي حتى المدرسات والمثقفات وحتى الدكتورات في الجامعات.

قــــرأت هـــذا الــمــوضــوع الــــذي أثــــار انــتــبــاهــي وحــبــيــت أعــقــب عــلــيــه، كــثــيــر مـــن البناتتظن أن الملتزم بالدين ال يضحك وال يمرح وال يذهب وال يأتي، أن حياته كلها جدية في

جدية وهي العكس في كل شيء، لماذا هذه الصورة السيئة لشبابنا الملتزمين!؟

كثير من الفتيات تضيع حياتها مع شاب طائش خوفا من ذلك الملتزم. بالعكس الوحدة يكون لها الشرف لما بتمشي مع واحد يتقي الله ويعرف اللي له واللي عليه. نسأل الله أن يوفق بناتنا وبنات المسلمين الرجل الصالح الذي همه رضا الله عز وجل، وعمال تكون نهايته

وثماره جنة عرضها السماوات واالرض.

اجعل حلوياتك مفيدة أكثر في شهر رمضان

في إســراف ماتحدث ونوعا الغذائية، العادات يتغير الكريم الشهر هذا في اإلفطار وجبة في ســواء رمضان شهر في أشكالها بمختلف األطعمة تتنوع أو عند السحور أو في »الغبقات« مع تجمع األهل واألصدقاء ولعل أبرز هذه األطعمة الحلويات بمختلف أنواعها، فمنها الحلويات الخليجية والشامية وتمتد إلى الحلويات المصرية، وتأتي رغبة الكثير منا بين اإلقبال واإلمتناع بين هذا الكم الهائل من الحلويات، ولكن هل عدم تناولها يحسن من المستوى الصحي؟ وعدم عــادات وطقوس شهر رمضان تتغير أن المستحيل من بالطبع ال ألنه تناولها أو اإلمتناع عنها بقصد المحافظة على الصحة يتعارض مع مبدأ النظام

الصحي، ألن السر في تقليل وضبط الكمية وليس الحرمان.الهائلة الطفرة في التلفزيون ودخــول الحياة نمط في الحاصل التغيير ومع لكثرة المسلسالت والبرامج التلفزيونية والسهرات، مما يتيح لك فرصة أكبر في الجلوس وقلة الحركة مما يسبب الخمول والكسل وال يعني ذلك أن الجانب الجانب الكريم ولكن هناك أيام شهر رمضان السلبي يطغى على أحد صور اإليجابي وعادة ما تكثر النشاطات الرياضية ناهيكم عن كثرة التسوق والتحضير في التحكم علينا يستوجب الحاالت هذه وفي الحركة، من يزيد مما للعيد التدرج في تناول وجبة بنا في هذا شهر الفضيل، فمثال نمط الحياة خاص اإلفطار وتبدأ من حيث التنسيق ما بين وجبة االفتتاحية مع الصالة ومن ثم الوجبة الرئيسية، وبالنسبة للحلويات يمكن إستبدال بعضا من سلوكيات الطبخ مما يجعل الحلويات قليلة السعرات الحرارية فتكثر الفائدة ، وسنذكر أهم ما

تحتويه الموائد الرمضانية من أصناف مختلفة من الحلويات:- اللقيمات

- صب بالقفشة- قطايف

- جيلي- الكاسترد

- كريم كاراميل- محلبيه- الكنافة

- العصيدةصب ومنافستها القاضي لقمة أو اللقيمات نستضيف القائمة رأس على من بأن اللقميات بأن تختلف ولكن العجين على تحتويان كالهما بالقفشة مكوناتها الروب وتغمس في السكر أو ما يسطلع عليه الشيرة، وأما بالنسبة السكر عليه وتسكب والزعفران الطحين على تحتوي فهي بالقفشة لصب الطحين من صنعها يفضل صحية كوصفات منها عمل أردنــا وإذا السائل. األسمر أو خلطه ووضع نسبه كافية معه، واستبدال الشيرة بالسكر الصناعي

المطحون وال ضرر فيه وكما يعتقد بأنها تسبب السرطان والتي ليس لها أي داللة علمية.

الحلويات أي من أو واأللبة والكاسترد والمحلبيه كاراميل كريم إعداد وعند التي تتضمن الحليب، في هذه األمور يمكن استخدام منتجات األلبان خالية

الدسم وفي هذه الحالة يمكن تقليل من السعرات الحرارية.وفي حال تحضير الجيلي فهي عادة تصنع وهي عالية في السعرات الحرارية أو على حسب طريقة التحضير. ولكن لجعلها مفيدة أكثر يمكن صنعها مع تقطيع كمية كبيرة من الفواكه ووضعها معه واألفضل بعد ما تقل درجة حرارته ألن

الفواكة تحتوي على بعض الفيتامينات الحساسة للحرارة.ويوجد الكثير من أطباق الحلويات وهي تتأثر بطريقة التحصير واإلعداد وهنا سأضع بعض التوصيات التي تفيد في تقليل من السعرات الحرارية وتزيد من

قيمتها الغذائية:قم بتحضير الحلويات بعد فترة األفطار إلى ماقبل اإلمساك، وبهذه الطريقة

تتجنب تحضير كميات كبيرة وكذلك يمكن تذوقها.بما أن هذه السنة سيكون شهر رمضان في فصل الصيف يمكن صنع مثلجات

صحية:> تجميد العصائر.

التمر وهرسه بكميات 4 حبات تمر مع كل كوب الذي اللبن مع > أو خلط يعادل 250 مل.

> عمل سلطة فواكة وسكب عليه أي نوع من العصائر بدون إضافة السكر ومن ثم وضعه في الفريزر.

أن تتحكم الطريقة تستطيع > حاول دائما أن تصنع حلوياتك بنفسك، بهذه بالمكونات وجعلها أكثر مفيدة.

> استخدام بياض البيض وبدون الصفار أو التقليل من الصفار وذلك يفيد في تقليل من كميات الكولسترول.

> إذا أردت أن تستخدم المكسرات ضعها وهي خام لتجنب الملح الزائد أو الدهون المتعقلة فيه أثناء تحضيرها.

> كما يمكن استخدام العسل الطبيعي بدال من الكاراميل أو الشيرة.> انتبه لكمية الحلويات المتناولة قم بإشراك من معك عند تناولها.

> استدخم الفواكة المجففة أو الطازجة لعمل الحشوات.وجدير بالذكر بأن شهر رمضان هو شهر للعبادة فال تقم بتفويت فرصة أعمال شهر رمضان الكريم، وفي الختام تمنياتي لكم دوام الصحة والعافية وإن شاء

الله يتقبل طاعتكم في هذا الشهر الفضيل.

تربية القطط أم تربية الكالب

أبناء الحظنا بكثرة انتشار ظاهرة تربية الكالب بالبيوت وخاصة لدى بعض األسر ذات المال وقد استغربت كيف أن مثل هذه العادة التي لم نكن نراها من قبل و بدأت اآلن تغزو بالدنا بطريقة توحي بانتشارها خالل السنوات القادمة. وأيضا انتشرت ظاهرة أخرى و هي تربية القطط في

المنازل. ولكن أيهما أفضل بالتربية القط أم الكلب و لماذا ؟

وقد بتقليدهم المسلمون وبــدأ المسلمين غير عــادة الكالب تربية إن كره اإلسالم أن يقتني المسلم كلبا إال لضرورة فعن عبد الله بن مغفل اتخذ »مــن الله عليه وسلم: الله صلى الله عنه قال: قال رسول رضي كلبا إال كلب صيد أو كلب غنم أو كلب زرع فإنه ينقص من عمله كل يوم قيراطان« ومعنى الحديث أنه إذا أخذت كلبا لغير الصيد أو الحراسة أو الزراعة فإنه ينقص من أجرك وحسناتك يوميا الشيء الكثير. فالكالب كائنات نجسة ألن لعابها نجس ومن أصاب من لعاب الكلب فإنه يغسل موضع اللمس بالماء سبعة مرات إحداهن بالتراب. والكالب أيضا تسبب واألمراض البكتيرية األمــراض الفيروسية، األمــراض منها: األمــراض الطفيلية. وقد قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: »لوال الكالب أمة

ألمرتكم بتقتيلها« ثم قال »اقتلوا منها ما هو أسود بهيم«.

أما القطط فال يجوز شراؤها وإنفاق المال الكثير على تدليلها، ولكن يجوز تربيتها لحديث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الهرة: »إنها ليست بنجس إنها من الطوافين عليكم والطوافات، والقطط قد تسبب بعض األمراض إذا لم يتم االهتمام بنظافتها وعدم إعطائها التطعيمات الماء بعد القطط ويسمى سؤر القطط وهو الالزمة. كما يجوز شرب ليس بنجس مثل سؤر الكلب. وهكذا نستنتج أن تربية القطط أفضل من تربية الكالب وكان ذلك معروف في عهد الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم حيث سمي الصحابي الجليل عبد الرحمن بن صخر بأبي هريرة نسبة لهرة أحبها ورعاها وكان يطعمها فأسماه الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم

أبو هريرة.

وبرأيكم أيهما أنظف؟ الشك أن القطط هي األنظف، فإنها إذا ذهبت لقضاء حاجتها ال تذهب إلى أي مكان وإنما تقضي حاجتها في تراب لها. وأما الكالب فإنها بتعليم اإلنسان بالفطرة وليس مخصص لذلك العراء. فلذلك تربية القطط أفضل تقضي حاجتها في أي مكان وفي

من تربية الكالب.

موجودة به، إذ تبلغ مسحة المسطح المائي حوالي 70.8% من مساحة الكرة االرضية، مما دفع بعض العلماء إلى أن يطلقوا اسم )الكرة المائية( على األرض بدال من من الكرة األرضية. كما أن الماء يكون حوالي )60-70% من أجسام الراقية بما فيها االنسان، كما يكون حوالي 90% من أجسام االحياء األحياء أخطار ذو بالغة أضــرار إلــى حــدوث يــؤدي الماء تلوث فــإن وبالتالي الدنيا( ولن له معنى يكون لن الذي البيئي بالتوازن الحية، ويخل بالكائنات جسيمة

تكون له قيمة إذا ما فسدت خواص المكون الرئيسي له وهو الماء.

مصادر تلوث الماء

يتلوث الماء بكل مايفسد خواصه أو يغير من طبيعته، والمقصود بتلوث الماء هو تدنس مجاري الماء واألبار واالنهار والبحار واالمطار والمياه الجوفية مما التي الكائنات أو النباتات أو الحيوان أو لإلنسان صالح غير ماءها يجعل اإلنسانية المخلفات الماء عن طريق ويتلوث والمحيطات، البحار في تعيش والنباتية والحيوانية والصناعية التي تلقي فيه أو تصب في فروعه، كما تتلوث المياه الجوفية نتيجة لتسرب مياه المجاري إليها بما فيها من بكتريا وصبغات

كيميائية ملوثة، ومن أهم ملوثات الماء ما يلي:

مياه األمطار الملوثة

تتلوث مياه األمطار – خاصة في المناطق الصناعية ألنها تجمع أثناء سقوطها من السماء كل الملوثات الموجودة بالهواء، والتي من أشهرها أكاسيد النتروجين تلوث مياه االمطار بالذكر أن الجدير التراب، ومن الكبريت وذرات وأكاسيد ظاهرة جديدة استحدثت مع انتشار التصنيع، وإلقاء كميات كبيرة من المخلفات والغازات واالتربة في الهواء أو الماء، وفي الماضي لم تعرف البشرية هذا النوع

من التلوث، وأنى لها هذا؟

وقال أيضا: }إذ يغشيكم النعاس أمنة منه وينزل عليكم السماء ماء ليطهركم به ويذهب عنكم رجس الشيطان وليربط على قلوبكم ويثبت به االقدام{ االنفال

وإذا كان ماء المطر نقيا عند بدء تكوينه فإن دوام الحال من المحال، هكذا قال اإلنسان وهكذا هو يصنع، لقد امتلئ الهواء بالكثير من الملوثات الصلبة وهذه والسيارات، اآلالت ومحركات المصانع مداخن نفثتها التي والغازية الملوثات تذوب مع مياه األمطار وتتساقط مع الثلوج فتمتصها التربة لتضيف بذلك كما جديدا من الملوثات إلى ذلك الموجود بالتربة، ويمتص النبات هذه السموم في جميع أجزائه، فإذا تناول اإلنسان أو الحيوان هذه النباتات أدى

ذلك الى التسمم }ليذيقهم بعض الذي علموا لعلهم يرجعون{ الروم 41.

كما أن سقوط ماء المطر الملوث فوق المسطحات المائية كالمحيطات والبحار الكائنات تسمم وإلــى المسطحات هذه تلوث إلى يــؤدي والبحيرات واالنهار هذه تناول إذا االنسان إلى السم وينتقل بها، الموجودة واألسماك البحرية

على غذائها في تعتمد التي البحرية الطيور تموت كما الملوثة، األسماك االسماك.

إنه انتحار شامل وبطيء يصنعه البعض من بني البشر، والباقي في غفلة عما يحدث حوله، حتى إذا وصل إليه تيار التلوث أفاق وانتبه ن ولكن بعد أن يكون

قد فاته األوان.

مياه المجاري

وهي تتلوث بالصابون والمنظفات الصناعية وبعض أنواع البكتريا والميكروبات الضارة، وعندما تنتقل مياه المجاري إلى األنهار والبحيرات فإنها تؤدي إلى

المخلفات الصناعية

احتمال حدوث تلوث إشعاعي ألجيال الحقة من اإلنسان وبقية الكائنات.

المبيدات الحشرية

شخص إلى المستشفيات ، ومات منهم 500.

التلوث الناتج عن تسرب البترول الى مياه البحار والمحطات

تلوث الماء

أول وأخطر مشكلة

والمختصون العلماء بها اهتم التي الموضوعات أوائل من الماء تلوث يعتبر بمجال التلوث، وليس من الغريب إذن أن يكون حجم الدراسات التي تناولت

البيولوجية العمليات كــل فــي يــدخــل فهو وضــروريــتــه، الــمــاء أهمية األول: والصناعية، وال يمكن ألي كائن حي - مهما كان شكله أو نوعه أو حجمه – أن يعيش بدونه، فالكائنات الحية تحتاج إليه لكي تعيش، والنباتات هي األخرى الهام في المكون الماء هو أن الخلية أثبت علم تنمو، )وقد إليه لكي تحتاج البناء في كل كائن حي نبات كان أم حيوانا، تركيب مادة الخلية، وهو وحدة وأثبت علم الكيمياء الحيوية أن الماء الزم لحدوث جميع التفاعالت والتحوالت التي تتم داخل أجسام األحياء فهو إما وسط أو عامل مساعد أو داخل في التفاعل أو ناتج عنه، وأثبت علم وظائف األعضاء أن الماء ضروري لقيام كل

عضو بوظائفه التي بدونها ال تتوفر له مظاهر الحياة ومقوماتها(.

إن ذلك كله يتساوى مع اآلية الكريمة التي تعلن بصراحة عن إبداع الخالق جل وعال في جعل الماء ضروريا لكل كائن حي ، قال تعالى }وجعلنا من الماء كل

شيء حي أفال يؤمنون{ األنبياء /30 .

الثاني: أن الماء يشغل أكبر حيز في الغالف الحيوي، وهو أكثر مادة منفردة

Choosing the Right Perfume for Your Personality


Sometimes, going to the ladies’ perfumes section of a mall can be pretty overwhelming. Because there are so many

scents of ladies’ perfumes wafting in the air, it can be pretty hard to choose the right scent for you. You may not get the right perfume for you during your first visit, but in time you will be able to spot the scent that matches your personality well.

When you intend to buy a ladies’ perfume, you should remember that you are not supposed to go there with a perfume on. Your scents may mingle with each other, causing you a lot more difficulty in buying a perfume. Not wearing a perfume while shopping for one will ensure that you will be able to test the cologne you are planning to purchase without it being influenced by other fragrances.

You also need to decide what type of fragrance you want to have. Do you want to smell like flowers, or do you want something citrus-smelling? If you already have an idea of what type of ladies’ perfume you want to buy, the sales person can easily point out

to you the ladies’ perfumes that fall into that category, hence making it easier for you to choose the perfume that you

want.

It is important to smell the ladies’ perfume that you want. Reading the product description is not enough as you need to smell it in order to really know its scent. You can also try spraying some perfume on

your skin. However, make sure that you only put on one perfume at a time. Again, they may

mingle with the scent of other perfumes, so put them on different parts of your body,

like your wrists, neck, or behind the ears.

Once you have selected the perfume that you want, you will notice that

as time goes by, the scent of your ladies’ perfume mingles with the

natural scent being exuded by your unique body chemistry. This will determine if a person has chosen the right perfume or not.

Ladies’ perfumes should always be properly taken care of. Do

not expose them to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. Also, it is

important not to keep the perfume bottle open for long periods of time

because this may cause the chemical mixtures to break down, hence leading to unpleasant scents.

William WordsworthA Criticism to Preface to Lyrical Ballads

“The feeling there in developed gives importance to the

action and situation, and not the action and situation

to the feeling”. In this statement, Wordsworth explains

how his poems are different than ordinary poems, aw

we discovered in reading his essay how his language is

unique.

The first idea I got from the introduction of the preface, is

that poetry must interest the audience and not necessary

to have a massage in it (as Behn said). But then when I

continued reading, he said that “each of them [poems]

has a worthy purpose”, doesn’t that show a conflict in this

essay? Well, I don’t know what he was thinking when he

wrote this essay, but I think he knew inside himself that

a work of art must be perfect, and to make it perfect, it

must have a massage in it or a purpose behind it, not just

to delight people. But then maybe, the purpose is delight

people.

There was a statement in his preface that I liked very much

because when I analyzed it, it showed that it contained

several theories and ideas of previous critics. He said

“chose incidents and situations from common life, and

relate or describe them, throughout, as far as was possible,

in a selection of language really used by men [Behn

rejected this idea (women are also capable of writing good

language], and at the same time to throw over them a

certain colouring imagination [which is called exaggerating

but Plato claimed it’s lying], where is by ordinary things

should be presented to the mind in an unusual way [Horace

said a poet should know the skill of writing (to write in an

unusual way), and further and above all, to make these

incidents and situations interesting [Sidney’s theory of

poems delighting in order in order to instruct]”.

I have realized from the preface that some Wordsworth’s

poems discuss moral issues or manners, the struggle of life

and death is what interests him (I guess). 21 Grams is a

movie which talks about a man who’s struggling for his own

life, he has a heart failure and is willing to do anything to

have a donor, and then he loses hope. But after becoming

close to death, the hospital finds him a heart and he lives

again, but then he has a heart failure again and so on. This

movie applies to one of Wordsworth’s plots, and I don’t

think it’s interesting at all, people need something new and

original, not something repeated.

he criticized critics work in criticizing poets, well, I think

it’s their job to criticize each line and each word of each

poem, but I don’t think they have the right to say about

poets “a man ignorant of his own passion” as he claimed

they said. He defined poets f they were another kind human

beings. I guess they’re just like u except they differ from us

with their gift of writing and organizing their emotions and

feelings into imaginary words. “Who has [poet] a greater

knowledge of human nature” said Wordsworth, but I don’t

think poets have a greater knowledge of the human nature.

I mean they may know how to arise our passion and how

to reach our hearts, but do they know how this nature of

this man is formed? Do they know how this man struggled

to live in that nature they talk about in their poems? I

don’t think so, because they write in a general way not

in a specific one, they can imagine the nature of this man

lives in and write about it so they can tell the reader “we

know” but the truth is, they don’t because they didn’t live

or experience this feeling.

“Poetry is the image of man and nature” said Wordsworth,

and I agree with him (not that I have the position to say “I

don’t”. man and nature, these objects come from the real

world, they’re not created by poets, they’re from reality

but poets put more words in describing them (called

exaggerating not lying as Plato claimed).

Could the poet write something so exciting that the reader

may act or do something about the feelings or passion he

formed from reading a certain poem? I think that could

be, Wordsworth said it by himself “the end of poetry is to

produce excitement”, “there’s some danger that that the

excitement may be carried beyond its proper bounds”. Does

that mean poetry could lead to doing something harmful?

And now, is poetry harmful or harmless to mankind? I

guess we should ask Wordsworth what he meant in this

statement, unfortunately, he’s dead!

Though I don’t agree with Wordsworth in some of his ideas,

but in my opinion, he’s the best critic of all, I liked the

language he used in writing his essay, after all, he’s a poet.

لست أدري إن كان القلم مشتاق لي..

اشتقت للكتابة ونثر بعض األفكار والصور التي يطول شرحها وتفسيرها في أوراق بيضاء نظيفة. ليس هناك قضية بحد ذاتها للكتابة عنها في الوقت الراهن وإنما اشتاقت يدي إلمساك القلم والكتابة تارة والتفكير

تارة أخرى..

هناك الكثير من المتع والهوايات التي قد تؤنس وحدة أي شخص وتكبح جماح الملل الذي يؤدي إلى االشتياق ألشخاص أو أعمال أو أماكن... أما أنا، فقد اشتقت إليك أيها القلم وإلى سحرك الخفي الذي يقودني ويدفعني للكتابة والتعبير عما في قلبي من آالم أو أفراح التي قد تجعلني إما أن أنهار فرحا أو أذرف دمعا فيا ليتني أجد ضالتي كما أجدك دائما الجامح عقلي في وهناك هنا تتبعثر األفكار العزيز، قلمي يا بجانبي

فقد ال أقوى على االستمرار في كتابة مقال قد اليمت للواقع بصلة أو

قد يحسب البعض أني دخلت بوابة الفلسفة المملة، الفلسفة فن جميل

بحد ذاته والكتابة فن بحد ذاتها، واليسع الكاتب المشتاق إال أن يربط

فنونه المفضلة حتى يتحمس للكتابة دون توقف وليكتب مايكتب، يكتب

ما يشعر به من اشتياق، من وحدة، من غيرة، من أحالم.. قد يخذلني

الزمن والناس الذين قد حسبتهم يوما من األيام مالذي الفريد لكن قلمي

أشتاق مثلما إليه أشتاق يخذلني.. ولن يكذب ال المخلص المتواضع

لرؤية أحالمي تتحقق سعدت بلقائك مجددا.. فهل اشتقت إلى مزاجي

المتقلب ومشاركتي أحرف كلماتي؟!..

عواقب وخيمة

تتم الفعاليات إلى أن هذه االلكترونية تشير النفايات اعادة تصنيع الحالية عن المعلومات جميع في الدول النامية بصورة اكبر من تلك التي تتم بالدول المتقدمة إال ان الدراسات لم تتطرق الى على تأثيرها في االعمال لهذه السلبي األثــر أن االفتراض مع الــدول بين االقتصادية الفروقات البيئة والصحة يكون كبيرا في كلتا الحالتين. كما ان افتراض اعادة التصنيع خير من رمي النفايات االلكترونية على األراضي ليس باالمر المقنع عندما يكون الناتج عن هذه الممارسات عماال ملوثين ومرضى صحيا. فضال عن مكبات النفايات المكشوفة وحرقها بالعراء كما هو مشهود في الدول اآلسيوية. فبينما تعد عملية اعادة تصنيع المواد الضارة من أهم مسببات التلوث البيئي قد تكون هذه الممارسة من اشد الكوارث في مناطق العالم التي يقل فيها مستوى الوعي وتنعدم فيها البنية

التحتية التي يسعها التعامل مع مثل هذا النوع من القضايا.

مع هذه المؤشرات الخطيرة فقد جرت التقديرات على ان 11% من اجمالي انتاج عام 1998م من الحاسبات اآللية تم اعادة تصنيعها بما فيها تلك التي تم ارسالها خارجيا ويتوقع ان ترتفع النسبة بمعدل 18% سنويا. وبذلك يكون حجم الحاسبات اآللية التي تم اعادة تصنيعها في العام 2002م قد بلغ 75 ،12 مــلــيــون حـــاســـب آلــــي )تــشــمــل الـــشـــاشـــات ولــــوحــــات الـــمـــفـــاتـــيـــح(. وتـــجـــري قـــطـــاعـــات العمل أكبر ــــصــــورة ب الــتــصــنــيــع اعــــــــادة عـــمـــلـــيـــات الـــحـــديـــثـــة األدوات ــعــي مــصــن ــــار وكــــب ـــرى ـــب ـــك ال

من القطاعات الصغيرة. حيث تمثل القطاعات الكبيرة 75% من االجمالي العام.

غياب الرقابة

ظهرت في اآلونة االخيرة بعض الوحدات العادة تصنيع النفايات االلكترونية في الواليات المتحدة خاصة في والية كاليفورنيا وبعض الواليات االخرى وتتركز هذه الوحدات في السجون. وتعتبر هي األقل ثمنا مقارنة بالحلول األخرى لمشكلة النفايات االلكترونية. وستشغل وحدة جديدة في سجن »أتواتر« الفيدرالي بوالية كاليفورنيا مساحة تبلغ 000 ،50 قدم مربع وتوفر نحو 350 وظيفة لمعالجة هذه المشكلة التي تعاني منها كاليفورنيا كثيرا منذ ان منع قسم السميات والتحكم رمي االنابيب التي تحتوي على اشعة الكاثود على مكبات النفايات. ونسبة لقلة أجور األيدي العاملة المحلية اقتنع اصحاب العمل في حقل اعادة التصنيع المحليين بعدم امكانية المنافسة حيث يتوجب عليهم مراعاة صحة وسالمة السجناء الذين يعملون وسط المكونات الضارة التي تحتويها الشاشات والمكونات

االخرى فلجأ هؤالء الى تصدير هذه المكونات الى الدول النامية تحت دوافع أهمها:

-رخص االيدي العاملة )50 ،1 دوالر باليوم في الصين(.

-غياب الرقابة والنظم الوظيفية في تلك الدول.

قانونيته عــدم رغــم المتحدة الــواليــات في مشروعا السامة االلكترونية النفايات تصدير -يعد عالميا.

أضرار النفايات

والضارة السامة المكونات من كبيرة كميات على تحتوي اإللكترونية النفايات أن المعروف من كالرصاص والكادميوم المكون األساسي للوحات الدوائر فضال عن أكسيد الرصاص وأنابيب أشعة الكاثود بالشاشات وبطاريات الكمبيوتر كما نجد الزئبق في لوحة المفاتيح والشاشات المسطحة وكلوريدات البيفنيل التي تحتويها كل من المكثفات والمحوالت إضافة إلى اللهب البرومي الذي ينتج عن حرق لوحات دوائر الطابعات واألغطية البالستيكية وكلوريدات البيفنيل. إضافة إلى األضرار العامة المتمثلة في تلوث المياه والهواء هناك أضرارخطيرة تتخلل عملية إعادة التصنيع وتنتج عن

النفايات اإللكترونية وخاصة إذاكانت سعيا وراء الربح المادي فقط.

ومن بين هذه األضرار المخاطر تلك التي تتواجد بشكل كبير في مكونات األجهزة اإللكترونية:

المكونات الخطرة

> الرصاص: ونسبة لمكوناته الخطيرة تم إصدار قرار عام 1970م بوجوب تنقيته من الوقود نسبة لتأثيره المباشر والخطير على الجهاز العصبي والدورة الدموية والكلى وجهاز المناعة لدى الجسم البشري فضال عن أثره السلبي على النمو العقلي لألطفال. ويتركز الرصاص في األجهزة اإللكترونية على كل من لوحات التحكم وشاشات )58 أرطال بالشاشة الواحدة( وبطاريات الكومبيوتر ولوحات

الطابعات.

> عنصر الكادميوم: من العناصر الفلزية ذات التأثير الخطير على جسم االنسان عند ترسبه على رقائق وعلى المكثفات وعلى الشرائح مقاومات على العنصر هذا ويتركز البولي. والجهاز الكلى

التوصيل الصغيرة. ويتواجد الكادميوم بشكل كبيرعلى انابيب اشعة الكاثود.

تحطيم شامل

تكوين على سلبيا ويؤثر والكلى الدماغ وخاصة الداخلية األعضاء تحطيم على يعمل الزئبق: <الجنين. وينتج عن اختالط الزئبق بالماء ميثالين الزئبق الذي يترسب داخل األعضاء الحية بكل سهولة ويتركز على السلسلة الغذائية وخاصة األسماك. وتشير الدراسات أن 22% من االستهالك المحمولة والهواتف الطبية واألجهزة واإللكترونية الكهربائية المعدات عبر يتم للزئبق السنوي وأجهزة االستشعار. وازداد استعمال الزئبق بصورة كبيرة مؤخرا بعد تطوير شاشات العرض الحديثة

والمسطحة التي ظهرت لتحل محل أنابيب الكاثود التقليدية.

جلدية مزمنة فضال عن األمراض التي تعرف بأمراض البيرليوم المزمنة وهي التي تصيب الرئة. وأشارت بعض الدراسات إلى أن األمراض المصاحبة للبيرليوم

قد تظهر حتى بعد مرور وقت طويل على التعرض إليه.

إعادة التصنيع

إضافة إلى أن قطاعات إعادة التصنيع ال تعرض أسعارا مشجعة على المخلفات اإللكترونية ولذلك وفيما برتقال. قشرة رمــي عن كثيرا يختلف ال المستخدم لــدى كومبيوتر شاشة رمــي أن نجد يختص بقطاعات العمل الكبرى نجد أن الحكومات والمؤسسات الكبرى تعمل على تحديث حاسبات البالغ عدد منسوبيها نحو 000،50 منسوبيها اآللية بانتظام. فمثال نجد أن شركة مايكروسوفت موظف منتشرون بجميع أنحاء العالم )بعضهم يعمل على أكثر من حاسب آلي واحد( تعمل على تغيير حاسبات منسوبيها كل ثالثة أعوام. هذا العدد الضخم وغيره من المستخدمين اآلخرين يصرح

لهم بإلقاء هذه األجهزة على ساحات النفايات حيث تجد طريقها إلى سوق إعادة التصنيع.

هناك الكثير من الشركات الكبرى تستأجر أجهزتها من شركات لتأجير األجهزة بنظام تعاقد زمني محدد تقوم الشركة المستأجرة بتبديل جميع األجهزة بأخرى جديدة حسب الفترة المتفق وقطاعات المستعملة األدوات وسطاء إلى المستعملة األجهزة ببيع هي لتقوم عليها.

إعادة التصنيع والتي في الغالب يتم تصديرها إلى خارج الواليات المتحدة.

هناك بعض شركات صناعة الكومبيوتر تمتلك مصانع العادة التصنيع وذلك عندما ال تجد ما يناسبها من المصانع األخرى. فمثال نجد شركة »هيولت باكارد« تمتلك )IBM( وحدتين العادة التصنيع في كل من كاليفورنيا وتينيسي. كما نجد أن

لديها برنامج العادة التصنيع في نيويورك.

وجهة النفايات القاتلة

معدل الحاسبات اآللية المستهلكة والتي تأخذ طريقها إلى مكبات النفايات يرتفع بشكل ينذر بكوارث مستقبلية. وبينما تجرى الجهود للتخلص من هذه النفايات عبر إعادة تصنيعها. نجد أن مسألة إعادة التصنيع تمر بمراحل متفاوتة تتمثل بصورة العمليات هذه تتم حيث وغيرها والحرق والتطويع والتفكيك الفرز في عشوائية غير مدروسة وعادة ما تشكل خطورة إضافية كبيرة. وتقول األبحاث أجهزةالحاسب أربــاع ثالثة أن المتحدة الواليات في الحكومية والــدراســات اآللي التي تم بيعها في أمريكا قد أصبحت مخلفات اآلن وأخذت طريقها إلى النفايات. وبذلك علينا أن نتخيل حجم النفايات التي ستصدر عن المستودعات في المخزن العدد وهو آلي حاسب جهاز مليون 500وينتظر طريقه إلى مكبات النفايات. وبذلك يتضح أن هذا القدر من التلوث المتنامي لن يتخطى أي دولة أو مكان على هذه األرض. فأحوال السوق الحالية وأدوات التصنيع ومدخالته تعمل على إعاقة النظام الصحيح العادة التصنيع بصورة ال تضر بالبيئة والصحة. فمعظم النفايات اإللكترونية التي يجري إعادة تصنيعها اآلن هي في الواقع تم تصديرها وتم تفكيك معضمها في السجون أو قطاعات بواسطة تقطيعها تم

المجتمع الفقير.

تلويث المياه

تشير دراسة أخرى إلى أن حجم المخزون األمريكي من أجهزة الحاسب اآللي غيرالمستخدمة في تزايد مستمر وسيبلغ قريبا 680 ،315 مليون وحدة. فكل مستهلك يملك من 23 أجهزة مهملة بمنزله على أمل أن تصبح ذات قيمة يوما ما إال أن قيمة الحاسبات اآللية تنهار بشكل سريع ومع مرور الزمن لن تسوى أكثر من قيمة المادة الخام الذي تتكون منها وهي أقل من قيمة إعادة التصنيع المحلي. وتتفاوت القيمةالمتبقية لألجهزة اإللكترونية ما بين 1 5 % من قيمتها األصلية. حتى ان كثيرامن المستهلكين ال يتقبلون حقيقة أن ما اشتروه قبل 3 أعوام فقط اصبح يساوي هذا المبلغ الضئيل مما

يشجعهم على االحتفاظ بها اكثر حتى تجد طريقها إلى مكب النفايات.

ففي عام 1997م سجل حجم النفايات اإللكترونية الملقاة على مكبات النفايات في الواليات المتحدة وحدها 2 ،3 مليون طن مما يؤكد أن معظم مستخدمي المنازل وقطاعات العمل الصغيرة يفضلون ساحة النفايات على وسطاء إعادة التصنيع. وهذا القدر الكبير من النفايات اإللكترونية سيؤثر حتى وذلك البيئة الكاملة على مقومات السيطرة تمكنها من تقنية تمتلك أنها تدعي التي الــدول على األجهزة أجزاء منها تتكون التي السامة الكيميائية والمواد والبالستيك المعادن تراكم من خالل اإللكترونية كلوحات الدوائر وأنابيب الزجاج واألسالك والمقاومات والمكثفات وغيرها من األجزاء

الداخلية الدقيقة.

إن اكثر من 70% من المعادن الثقيلة بما فيها الزئبق والكادميوم والقصدير التي تتواجد في مكبات النفيات تأتي من النفايات اإللكترونية. هذه المعادن والمكونات اإللكترونية السامة األخرى تعمل المفتوحة النفايات المياه الجوفية. وهذا ما حدث عام 2001م عندما تم منع مكبات تلويث على بواسطة القانون البلدي في كاليفورنيا و ميسشوست وذلك لطبيعة هذه النفايات شديدة السموم الهواء وثاني النفايات وتؤدي الى تلوث التي تتمثل في ثاني اكسيد الكربون الذي ينتج عن حريق أكسيد الحديد والنحاس ويكثر عند تعرض النفايات للرطوبة واألمطار مما يؤدي الى تلوث المياه. وهناك بعض المنتجين يرسلون نفاياتهم االلكترونية الى محارق االسمنت ليتم االستعاضة بها بدال

عن الوقود.

تراجع فرص الشراء

كان فقد القريب. الماضي في الكومبيوتر ألجهزة طفيفا ــداوال ت تمثل االستخدام إعــادة كانت لتقوم الطوعية والمؤسسات المدارس إلى بها المرغوب غير األجهزة إهــداء على الكثير يعمد أن إال الجهاز فعاليات وبعض الــذاكــرة فــي بسيط تطوير مــع التالميذ تعليم فــي باستخدامها التقني. للتطور التالميذ مواكبة وراء سعيا القديمة األجهزة قبول عن مؤخرا امتنعت المدارس الثقيل النفايات عبء تخفيف في كبير بشكل تساهم الخارجية السوق كانت أخــرى ناحية ومن المتواضع االقتصاد ذات الــدول بعض المستعملة في اآللية بالحاسبات االتجار وذلك عن طريق مع تزامن والــذي ومعداته العالمي المعلومات تقنية ســوق في في المنافسة رقعة اتساع ان إال أن كما المستعملة. األجهزة تجارة تقلص إلى أدى الجنسيات متعددة للشركات الواسع االنتشار ومنها معينة زمنية فترة هناك ألن للمشكلة النهائي بالحل ليست األجهزة استخدام أمد إطالة سيصبح هذا الجهاز أو ذاك في عداد النفايات ال محال سواء كان ذلك داخليا أو في دولة أخرى المسائل مع هذه تعاملها يكون التي الــدول تلك في أكبر وخاصة يكون وقد قائما الخطر ويظل

متواضعا نتيجة للوضع االقتصادي المتردي.

Few days ago I was asking my friends if they have any lectures of sheikh Khalid yasin, but unfortunately the answer I got was “who is he?! We never heard of him”.

Sheikh Khalid Yasin was born in the 1950’s in Brooklyn - New York City, USA. He grew up as a Christian; he converted to Islam in 1965 and now he is a well known lecturer and teacher.

He has been able to study extensively the Qur’an, Islamic legislation and Arabic in Madina, Saudi Arabia and Cairo, Egypt. He had many mentors and teachers who tutored him in Fiqh El-Sunna, Fiqh EL-Seera, Islamic history and the memorization and recitation of the Qur’an.

Sheikh Khalid now lives and operates his Da’wah organization in Sheffield, England. He founded, directs and runs the Islamic Broadcasting Corporation and The Purpose of Life Centre on Shirecliffe Lane, Sheffield. The organization was formerly known as the Islamic Teaching Institute (ITI); a premier organization dedicated to the work of Da’wah.

In the past ten years, the ITI has delivered more than 5000 persons to Islam and an additional 1700 since the September 11 Attacks. Sheikh Khalid Yasin delivered a lecture in Saudi Arabia in 1994 titled “The

Purpose of Life”, which resulted in 43 persons accepting Islam on that night. That should tell you how powerful the message in the lecture was.

Sheikh Khalid Yasin constantly tours the world delivering lectures aimed at removing distortions and misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, conducting Da’wah

Training Courses, and provides new Muslims with a specially designed Islamic Training Program.

Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings who live by

feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of

living creatures. Although typically described as undead, a vampire

could be a living person.

In folkloric tales, undead vampires often visited loved ones and

caused mischief or deaths in the neighborhoods they inhabited when

they were alive. They wore shrouds and were often described as

bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance, markedly different from

today’s gaunt, pale vampire which dates from the early Nineteenth

Century. Although vampiric entities have been recorded in most

cultures, the term vampire was not popularised until the early 18th

century, after an influx of vampire superstition into Western Europe

from areas where vampire legends were frequent, such as the Balkans

and Eastern Europe, although local variants were also known by

different names, such as vampir in Serbia, vrykolakas in Greece and

strigoi in Romania. This increased level of vampire superstition in

Europe led to mass hysteria and in some cases resulted in corpses

actually being staked and people being accused of vampirism.

In modern times, however, the vampire is generally held to be a

fictitious entity, although belief in similar vampiric creatures such as

the chupacabra still persists in some cultures. Early folkloric belief

in vampires has been ascribed to the ignorance of the body’s process

of decomposition after death and how people in pre-industrial

societies tried to rationalize this, creating the figure of the vampire

to explain the mysteries of death. Porphyria was also linked with

legends of vampirism in the 20th century and received much media

exposure, but this link has since been largely discredited.

The charismatic and sophisticated vampire of modern fiction was

born in 1819 with the publication of The Vampyre by John Polidori;

the story was highly successful and arguably the most influential

vampire work of the early 19th century.[8] However, it is Bram

Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula that is remembered as the quintessential

vampire novel and provided the basis of the modern vampire legend.

The success of this book spawned a distinctive vampire genre, still

popular in the 21st century, with books, films, and television shows.

The vampire has since become a dominant figure in the horror

genre.

The notion of vampirism has existed for millennia; cultures such

as the Mesopotamians, Hebrews, Ancient Greeks, and Romans

had tales of demons and spirits which are considered precursors to

modern vampires. However, despite the occurrence of vampire-like

creatures in these ancient civilizations, the folklore for the entity

we know today as the vampire originates almost exclusively from

early 18th century Southeastern Europe, when verbal traditions of

many ethnic groups of the region were recorded and published.

In most cases, vampires are revenants of evil beings, suicide

victims, or witches, but they can also be created by a malevolent

spirit possessing a corpse or by being bitten by a vampire. Belief

in such legends became so pervasive that in some areas it caused

mass hysteria and even public executions of people believed to be

vampires.

The causes of vampiric generation were many and varied in original

folklore. In Slavic and Chinese traditions, any corpse which was

jumped over by an animal, particularly a dog or a cat, was feared

to become one of the undead. A body with a wound which had not

been treated with boiling water was also at risk. In Russian folklore,

vampires were said to have once been witches or people who had

rebelled against the Church while they were alive.

Cultural practices often arose that were intended to prevent a

recently deceased loved one from turning into an undead revenant.

Burying a corpse upside-down was widespread, as was placing

earthly objects, such as scythes or sickles, near the grave to satisfy

any demons entering the body or to appease the dead so that it

would not wish to arise from its coffin. This method resembles the

Ancient Greek practice of placing an obolus in the corpse’s mouth

to pay the toll to cross the River Styx in the underworld; it has

been argued that instead, the coin was intended to ward off any

evil spirits from entering the body, and this may have influenced

later vampire folklore. This tradition persisted in modern Greek

folklore about the vrykolakas, in which a wax cross and piece of

pottery with the inscription “Jesus Christ conquers” were placed on

the corpse to prevent the body from becoming a vampire. Other

methods commonly practised in Europe included severing the

tendons at the knees or placing poppy seeds, millet, or sand on the

ground at the grave site of a presumed vampire; this was intended

to keep the vampire occupied all night by counting the fallen grains.

Similar Chinese narratives state that if a vampire-like being came

across a sack of rice, it would have to count every grain; this is

a theme encountered in myths from the Indian subcontinent as

well as in South American tales of witches and other sorts of evil or

mischievous spirits or beings.

In modern fiction, the vampire tends to be depicted as a suave,

charismatic villain. Despite the general disbelief in vampiric entities,

occasional sightings of vampires are reported. Indeed, vampire

hunting societies still exist, although they are largely formed for

social reasons. Allegations of vampire attacks swept through the

African country of Malawi during late 2002 and early 2003, with

mobs stoning one individual to death and attacking at least four

others, including Governor Eric Chiwaya, based on the belief that

the government was colluding with vampires.

In early 1970 local press spread rumors that a vampire haunted

Highgate Cemetery in London. Amateur vampire hunters flocked

in large numbers to the cemetery. Several books have been written

about the case, notably by Sean Manchester, a local man who was

among the first to suggest the existence of the “Highgate Vampire”

and who later claimed to have exorcised and destroyed a whole

nest of vampires in the area. In January 2005, rumors circulated that

an attacker had bitten a number of people in Birmingham, England,

fuelling concerns about a vampire roaming the streets. However,

local police stated that no such crime had been reported and that

the case appears to be an urban legend.

أين تكمن السعادةما هو مفهوم السعادة لديك؟ هل هو مجرد كلمة تقال.. أم هو شعور تحس به؟ هل السعادة في المرح واللذة والتمتع؟ أو في المال والحب والزواج والنجاح أو

الجاة والشهرة؟

لكل منا مفهومة الخاص بالسعادة.. فالسعادة ليست مطلقة وليست حكرا على بها في فالسعادة نحس البشر.. معينة من أو طبقة الناس معينة من نوعية النجاح بعد الفشل وفي الصلح بعد الخالف وفي الفرح بعد الحزن، وفي األمل بعد اليأس.. فهذه هي الحياة. فاإلنسان يمر في حياته بجميع الظروف.. فال توجد هناك سعادة مطلقة أو تعاسة مطلقة وال راحة مطلقة وال صحة مطلقة وال لذة مطلقة، فالسعادة الناتجة عن اللذة والتمتع هي لذة مؤقتة تزول بزوال الفعل نفسة.. والذي يرى السعادة في جمع المال فإن كثرة المال ال تعني كثرة السعادة، فما قيمة المال إذا فقدت في سبيل الحصول عليه الصحة والشباب والحب والوطن واألمــن؟... وهناك آراء كثيرة حول السعادة... فالطالب يرى ان يعتقدان بعد ينجبا لم اللذان والزوجان دراسته، في النجاح في سعادته أقصى سعادتهما في ان يرزقهما الله بطفل، والفتاة التي لم تتزوج بعد تعتقد ان سعادتها مرتبطة في الحصول على زوج وكذلك الرجل غير المتزوج، وهناك أشخاص يرون ان السعادة في الحصول على الحب الحقيقي، وكل هذا يدل

على ان معظم الناس يرون السعادة في تحقيق األحالم حتى لو كانت صعبة أو مستحيلة ألن عبور المستحيل وتحدي الصعاب يمنح اإلنسان لذة الكفاح، يريد األوقـــات من كثير وفــي والمتعة، األلــم من مزيج هي لديهم فالسعادة االنسان شيئا محددا ويسعى لتحقيقة بشتى السبل ويعتقد ان الخير فيه.. وان سعادته لن تكتمل إال به.. ولكن الله اليحقق له مايريده.. فيحزن، ثم بعد ذلك يكتشف ان ما كان يريده بشدة هو شر له، وما أراده الله وقضاه هو الخير وفيه السعادة.. كما قال الله عز وجل )وعسى ان تكرهوا شيئا ويجعل الله فيه خيرا كثيرا( إذا.. السعادة ليست في الماديات وإنما هي نابعة من النفس، في اإليمان بالله وبالقدر خيره وشره، وفي القناعة والرضا عن النفس وعن اآلخرين وفي التسامح، وأكد علماء النفس ان الناس األكثر سعادة هم الناس األكثر تسامحا، وأكدوا ان هناك عالقة بين التسامح وأمراض العصر، حيث إن المتسامحين ال يعانون من ضغط الدم وأمراض القلب، وبذلك فإن التسامح يطيل العمر، وكذلك نجد السعادة في نقاء الضمير والتواضع والعشرة الطيبة والتعاون على البر والتقوى ال على اإلثم والعدوان، فما أجمل من أن ينام اإلنسان وهو مرتاح لم )إذا اعجبني.. بقول واختم أحــدا.. يؤذ لم بأنه البال ومطمئن الضمير

تستطع ان تعمل ماتحب فاحب ما تعمل(.

FROM SCIENCE FICTION FANTASY TO MEDICAL REALITY

My search for a practical model of the Star Trek medical scanner

Part I

Dreams of creating a Star Trek scanner piqued my

interest in EAV. How fascinating it was to see the

Star Trek medical scanner waved in front of a person then

report information on the inner workings of their organs.

EAV (Electro Acupuncture according to Voll) appeared to

be the closest working model of that medical evaluation I

could find.

My introduction to electroacupuncture was through

Reinhold Voll, a German medical doctor, who together with

his study group had researched measuring classical Chinese

acupuncture points with an ohm meter. Dr Voll and his

associates used the meter to measure electrical resistance

of the skin above the acupuncture point. They had become

interested in the French work of using diathermy on

acupuncture points. Dr. Voll’s ability with short wave radios

came in handy in their research. Before modern electronics

had been invented Dr Voll had the idea of creating a

device that could measure the electrical resistance of the

acupuncture points. Dr Voll originally used a diatherapunctur

device developed by 2 German engineers.

In 1980, while I was a student at John Bastyr College of

Naturopathic Medicine, I went with my stepfather, a

naturopath and chiropractor, to hear Dr. Voll speak on his

method of Electroacupuncture. Dr. Voll spoke in German,

while a Spanish speaking Colombian, Simeon Duque, who

also spoke German and English, translated and explained

what Dr. Voll was trying to communicate. The method

involved a tester, a person being tested, a testing device

and an assistant to write down all of the information from

the point tests. Simeon Duque had met Dr Voll when went

to high school in Germany. His brother, German Duque,

MD was practicing EAV in Columbia. The testing device

Voll used, the Dermatron, was invented by Peter Pitterling,

another German engineer.

During the lecture, Dr. Voll covered the classical acupuncture

points which represent the four physical parts of the specific

organ. In addition, he introduced the new points he had

discovered both on the classical meridians and on his new

vessels. Then he spoke about the indicator drops shown on

the Dermatron which meant a short circuit in the organ, and

the homeopathic remedies which balanced the points.

After three days of lectures, Dr. Voll dedicated a fourth day

to testing several people so we could see what it was like.

Pitterling also was there with the Dermatron, with the meter

displayed on an overhead projector so everybody could see.

It was a fascinating and exciting day!

Eventually I bought a Dermatron and began testing. The

method was tedious since I did not have an assistant.

Bruce Douglas, a naturopathic student with an engineering

background suggested that I develop my own system and

computerize it with the help of one of our professors, an

English MD with a background in programming. Bruce also

knew of an electrical engineer who had come to Seattle and

might be interested in working with me.

Dr. David Makins and Todd Weisner joined me in

creating the Computron and the Acupro II software for the

Commodore computer. In my youthful enthusiasm, I paid

them out of my inheritance to work on this project with

me. The system incorporated the work of Dr. Voll, Dr. Morel

and Dr. Schimmel. Todd helped me create the imprinter

that works with the Computronix system. The program was

converted to IBM DOS by John Shell and is the method that

I still use today.

Classical Chinese acupuncture has been aware of 675

acupuncture points. Dr. Voll and his associates used only 250

of those points, but Voll hoped to understand more of them.

Before Voll died, he understood the correlation between

1,050 point and the organs to which they corresponded,

discovering over 700 new points! They found them by using

vials of organ preparations to understand the specific points

actually being measured.

Immersing myself for years in this work, I persisted in

laborious testing with the result being the understanding

of 1,200 acupuncture points, the rest of the classical

acupuncture points and discovering 750 new points. I

discovered meaning of the last classical point in February

before the stroke. Now my Computron better resembled the

Star Trek medical scanner! Owning the intellectual property

and the copyright of the Acupro II software (including the

new points that I discovered) I hired George Loving to be the

CEO to run Computronix for me while I built the Wellness

Center of Grapevine in Texas.

Having the misfortune to suffer a stroke, the Wellness Center

I built closed. I entrusted the Computronix manufacturing

business to George Loving while I was in a nursing home

recovering.

With much help, I have come a long way in the last four and

a half years.

Now I work with individuals on a private consulting

basis while I strive to regain what was lost with the stroke.

However, the vision of my youth has not been lost, nor the

drive to serve people. I have trained doctors around the

United States and around the world to use my method of

EAV testing. Many of them also continue to use this method

to help their patients in their quest for better health.

My personal time line:

1971-1973: Enrolled in Western Washington State College.

1974: Attended ITT Peterson School of Business to study

Computer Programming.

1974-1977: Graduated from Northwest College of the

Assembly of God with a B.A. degree in Religion and

Philosophy, minors in New Testament Greek, Counseling

and all the theory classes for a minor in Music.

1977: Met Dr. Bruce Dewe, MD from New Zealand. We

attended the Touch For Health seminar for nurses, followed

by their Advanced Seminar where I was introduced to

acupuncture. Bruce and I became certified instructors and

taught a seminar together. Bruce encouraged me to attend

an alternative to regular medical college or move to New

Zealand and study with him. I looked into Northwest

Naturopathic College in Portland, Oregon but was

discouraged by the first two years of study in Kansas, having

just purchased a house in Kirkland, Washington.

1978: I went to Austria with Dr. Ernst Winter, PhD. (He had 5

PhD’s.) When I returned, I found out about the Naturopathic

College opening in Seattle. I was accepted into the first class

of the newly formed John Bastyr College of Naturopathic

Medicine. I participated in a study group in homeopathy at

lunch time for two years. Also attended acupuncture classes

with John Amaro, DC in Portland, Oregon.

1980: Attended my first Dr. Voll seminar in San Francisco,

California.

1981-1990: Attended Walter Sturm’s seminars in EAV went

to Germany to study electroacupuncture, bought an RM-

10S and a MORA device.

1981-1985: Attended Charles McWilliam’s seminars.

1982: Bought a Dermatron, Dr. Voll’s measurement device

made by Pitterling.

Dr. Morel, MD taught me how to test the points of EAV

testing.

Met Rick Kiteaff, first doctor of acupuncture in Japan who

was not Japanese. He was a Canadian, who had to learn

Japanese to be able to attend the acupuncture college there.

He found me eager to begin his new apprenticing program

which I did for a year and a half before the Acupuncture

College opened in 1983. I subsequently taught at that school

and was elected the Vice President of the Acupuncture

Association of Washington.

1982-1983: Years of intensive testing with the RM-10S and

the Dermatron. I worked two days a month in the office of

Dr. Greg Spencer, DPM.

1982: Attended another seminar with Dr. Voll in Chicago.

1983: Attended Voll’s seminar in Phoenix where Pitterling

introduced his computer program on an Apple 2e. It was

more efficient because an assistant was no longer necessary

to write down the information. It could even indicate

nosodes, sarcodes, and accompanying homeopathic

remedies depending on which acupuncture point you were

on. However, it could not display text and graphics on the

same page. It was black and white.

هكذا الوضع في البلد، خطط، وأحالم وتطلعات مستقبلية وفعل ماكو!االنفتاحات التي يريدها المواطن ليس افتتاح مجمع أو سينما أو مشغل أو مقهى، وين مدينة الحرير؟؟ وين استاد جابر؟؟ ليش ما عندنا سكك حديد أو ميترو؟؟ وين إعمار الجزر المهجورة؟؟ أليس من األفضل أن نطالب بافتتاح

سألني أحدهم ماهي ردة فعلي عندما يخونني شخص ما أي كان هذا الشخص وال أقصد من الجنس الخشن.. أخذت عشر دقائق أفكر فيها وقلت أوال يعتمد على من هو الشخص وإذا كان الموضع يستحق الكره وتغيير من سياستي تجاه هذا الخائن..

المسـألة نسبية فأنا فتاة وامرأة وأخت وصديقة وإن لم أمر بتجربة فالبد أن يأتي يوم وأعرف ما مدى قسوة الشعور واأللم، الخيانة بحر كبير مليء باألمواج الهائجة قد يغرق وقد يعطي دافعا لالستمرار واكتساب مصدر القوة منه هذه القوة تأتي من شحنات الكره التي وجدت في قلب المرأة مضجعا لها وأخذت من العقل مصنعا لتنشيط الموقف طوال الوقت وكلما تذكرته المرأة ازدات حدة ووعيا لكي تتفادى مواقف مشابهة. حذاري من كره المرأة أيها الرجال فهي مملكة من اإلحساس وكما يقولون إن كيدهن

عظيم وقد يكون لئيم.في اليونان كانو يعظمون المرأة حيث أنها كانت إله، ويرجع السبب في ذلك من وجهة نظري ألنهم كانوا مدركين من مدى تأثيرها وقوة ردود أفعالها على كثير من األحداث

على مر االزمنة.عندها ستدرك خطا ما اقترفت و توجه أصابع اإلتهام إلى كل امرأة تراها في طريقك متهما إياها بأنها كريهة وكل الحريم سواء، هذا أبسط شيء ممكن أن يقول ويقنع نسيه

به ألن غروره يمنعه من االعتراف بأن الرجال أطفال صغار بالنهاية وأن المراة هي أم وقد ربت هذا الرجل واحتوته في يوم من األيام، فهل تكره أمك أيها الرجل!.

She has hers around her neck, he has it wrapped

around his wrist and the other has it locked with his

car keys! Different colors of jelly cases, neck straps and

covers! Blackberry the new Kuwaiti fashion statement: If

you don’t have a Blackberry, you are absolutely out of date.

It’s amazing what technology and such a device can do to

people. I have seen many scenes concerning this piece of

equipment, funny to be specific.

For instance, I had to go to a funeral in the past month. Let

me try to fill my words with images so u can visualize the

scene I saw though my eyes. As, I pass through the door

entering a hall full of so called grieving women. One word

came to my head and distracted me from paying attention

to the people I was there for, Blackberry. Why? Here is a

simple why!? In funerals, the colors people wear are mostly

black or otherwise if necessary very dark colors. Well, the

hall I entered was packed with ladies wearing Abayas the

full black covering dress. So, what attracts the eyes more

than color in a funeral. From elderly women to young ladies

had their Blackberries with them, in some way or form. With

their jelly cases that come in many colors or the covers that

can be made with personal designs. To make the situation

worst or yet hilarious, the colors were neon colors the new

fashion of 2009. They were dispersed everywhere, on their

laps and around their necks breaking the contrast of color

between the black colored garments. Some were actually

busy with it handling it with both hands and eyes fixated

on the screen and a smile if I might add. Instead, of reading

a couple of Quran verses, or prayers to the forever gone. I

got out of the funeral thinking to myself how people could

be such ridiculous followers. To me I see a pig running after

its own tail.

That’s not only it! Including the sights in public cafes, and

malls. No longer are families or friends gathered on a table

talking with absolute eye contact. Now the picture is more

like bent heads toward their Blackberries having personal

chats on their msn or even on their BB pins. Some people

might call it multi-tasking, but I call it not using valuable

quality time wisely. It also happens in family gatherings,

sometimes even more obvious everyone is cornered

somewhere in their own world rather than connecting with

their people around them.

Now, putting aside the social life being altered let’s move

on to another important subtopic of our lives, education.

Schools and universities! I’m sorry students, but I’ve got to

let it go though I’m sure many have realized. Blackberries,

have been the direct and yet the best ways of cheating. One,

picture of tests or such can be taken easily. Two, answers can

be shared while the test is in progress through BB pins. Three,

answers can be saved and passed on to the students of the

next class. That’s not including the instant msn chatting all

the time and messages within the classmates themselves.

Blackberry has certainly become an addiction and a need to

most, no longer is it considered a want anymore. No longer

is a phone, in this cause the Blackberry resting in a ladies

purse or a young man’s pocket waiting for a reason to be

used as technology promises us. Currently always in hand or

around the neck. Whether their hands are fully occupied with

grocery bags or their necks are overfilled with accessories.

These are the true symptoms of BLACKBERRYNATION!

Watch out world….. One day this berry will explode or

better yet rot to its roots.

A Quick Premier League Review of

Season 08/09It was quite a season, 2008/09, with possibly the tightest

challenge for the title in many a year. Even the battle for relegation was tight for up to ten clubs until the last few weeks of the season, and few would have predicted that outcome at the beginning of August 2008.

The previous season, Manchester Utd had won the premiership title and scraped the European Champions League final. They were simply awesome, one of the best sides ever, and in their flying winger, Ronaldo, had a true match winner who smashed in over 40 goals in all competitions. To emulate that again, would take some doing.

However, it wasn’t a season where any one team looked the strongest. Manchester Utd started slowly, Liverpool were the early pace setters while Arsenal and Chelsea both looked shadows of their previous selves. The biggest surprise was seeing newly promoted Hull City in the top four!

Lower in the table, a mass of clubs were taking points off each other and barely 10 points separated bottom from sixth! It was going to be an interesting relegation battle for sure.

By the mid point of the season, the table was finally sorting itself out. The top two of Liverpool and Manchester Utd swapped positions, while Chelsea kept on their tails in third. Aston Villa were threatening to break the top four monopoly and even got as high as third at one point, which kept Arsenal down to fifth. Everton had made a little break of their own and looked pretty solid in sixth.

Lower down, surprise strugglers Newcastle and Spurs were looking to break out of the relegation zone, and the mid table clubs were still looking over their shoulders.

Manchester Utd managed to win the World Club Championship, and a little later added the League Cup to their trophy collection. Although they hadn’t been setting the premiership alight as they had the previous season, they were still picking up hard fought points. Talk on them winning an unprecedented five trophies in one season was beginning to heat up.

In the last part of the season, Spurs had broken away from the bottom of the table, but the horrendous Newcastle were in big trouble. This was amazing considering the amount of money they had spent on players – but buying mercenaries does not guarantee you success. Nor does emplying four managers in one season!

Back at the top and Liverpool had smashed Man Utd 4-1 at Old

Trafford. The race was on for the title. Utd were through to the FA Cup semi final, but fielded a weakened side and they lost on penalties to Everton. The dream of five trophies in one season dashed.

Aston Villa embarked on a nightmare run that saw them slide down the table. Once very well placed to finish at least fourth, they were struggling to hang on to fifth, with cup finalists Everton hard on their shoulders.

As the month of May approached, the top four began taking their familiar placings, and it was to no real surprise to see Utd just pip Liverpool to the post. Champions for a third successive time. Chelsea finished a strong third, and who knows, had they had Guus Hiddink as manager all season (he replaced Brazilian Phillip Scolari mid season), it may well have been their year. Arsenal took fourth place after a largely disappointing season hampered by injuries to key players.

Another team hampered by an even worse injury list was Everton. Despite this, they managed to overhaul Aston Villa to finish fifth. Villa must be very disappointed with sixth despite their excellent run earlier. Fulham capped a great season for them, by finishing seventh, their highest ever placing.

For the bottom three clubs spelt relegation. West Brom, Middlesborough and Newcastle all ended up losing on the final day of the season, and their premiership status lost for at least a year.

Manchester Utd still had a fourth trophy to go for as they reached the Champions League final for the second year in succession. However, their hopes of being the first club to retain the trophy were ended as a superb Barcelona side made Manchester Utd look very ordinary. Utd would have to be content with just three trophies this season then.

The final match of the season was played out between Chelsea and Everton in the FA Cup final. Despite Everton scoring the fastest FA Cup final goal in over one hundred years of the competition after just 25 seconds, they ran out 2-1 losers. Chelsea’s £150 million team was just too strong.

In all, it was a more interesting season compared to previous seasons due to a tighter battle for the top, and a unique relegation tussle between ten clubs. Hopefully next season will be even better! And hopefully one or more of the top four, will not be part of the top four!

the first Spanish team to achieve this.

Guardiola was a fantastic player, spending most of his playing

days at Barcelona and captained Johan Cryuff’s ‘dream team

when Barcelona won their first European Cup. He has not

recreated this success as manager and looks like having the

potential to be one of the greats in the next generation of

managers.

There is no doubt that Guardiola has a star studded team at his

disposal but he made a bold move at the start of the season

selling Ronaldinho and bringing in a few lesser known players

to make his mark on the team. His achievements this year have

been fantastic, especially since so many wanted him to fail as

a result of his inexperience.

Even with the loss of Ronaldinho, Guardiola still has Messi,

Eto’o, Henry, Xavi and Iniesta, to name but a few, at his disposal

so he did inherit a string team but it is a team that hadn’t won

La Liga since 2006 and one that many people had started to

doubt could win the title.

Guardiola has certainly not put himself out there as a potentially

future great manager and if he can continue to show the

qualities and winning mentality that he has shown this season

then there is no doubt that he will fulfil his potential.

Step 1: Prep

This step is the most important and overlooked part of the shaving process. A good prep cleanses the skin, opens the pores, and softens the skin. To prepare the skin for a smooth shave, always shave after or at the end of a hot shower. This will soften the beard and open the pores. In a pinch, a hot towel and splash of water can be used.

Always use a high quality shave cream and stay away from products that contain menthol, which can close your pores and stiffen your beard. For those with especially tough beards or sensitive skin, a Pre Shave Oil may be applied to further soften the beard and reduce razor drag. When applying the shave cream, use a badger shaving brush to apply the cream in a circular motion. This action will help produce a

better lather, lift the whiskers, and gently exfoliate the skin.

Step 2: Shave

Two of the leading causes of ingrown hairs and razor burn are poor lubrication and dull blades. Step one provides tips for proper lubrication, but a good blade is also essential to a close, comfortable shave. I recommend using a three blade razor such as the Gillette Mach3

Turbo. Make sure to always use a sharp blade.

With your free hand, hold the area of skin to be shaved taut and glide the razor gently over your face. Avoid applying pressure, rinse your blade often, and shave with the grain. If you require a closer shave, re-lather and shave lightly against the grain. If you nick yourself, apply a moist alum block or styptic pencil to stop bleeding.

Step 3: Repair and Protect

After shaving, always close the pores with a rinse of cool water. Gently pat the face dry with a

soft cloth and apply a good aftershave balm. I don’t recommend using products that contain

alcohol, as they can cause unnecessary drying of the skin. The right aftershave

balm will help promote quicker healing and moisturize the skin.

Amazon KindleAmazon Kindle is a software and hardware platform developed by

Amazon.com for reading e-books and other digital media. Three

hardware devices, known as “Kindle”, “Kindle 2,” and “Kindle DX”

support this platform, as does an iPhone application called “Kindle

for iPhone”. The first device was released in the United States on

November 19, 2007.

The Kindle hardware devices use E Ink brand electronic paper displays,

and are able to download content over Amazon Whispernet using the

Sprint EVDO network. Kindle hardware devices can be used without

a computer, and Whispernet is accessible without any fee. These

devices also provide free internet access to Wikipedia. The Kindle

is not available outside the US due to import/export laws and other

restrictions.

On March 3, 2009, Amazon.com launched an application entitled

Kindle for iPhone in the App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch owners

to read Kindle content. Through a technology termed “Whispersync,”

customers can keep their place across Kindle hardware devices and

other mobile devices.

Amazon announced the Kindle DX on May 6, 2009. This device has a

larger screen than its predecessors and supports PDF files natively. It

is marketed as more suitable for displaying newspaper and textbook

content.

Original Kindle

The Kindle device featuring a 6 inch (diagonal) 4-level grayscale

display retailed for US$399; Amazon subsequently lowered the price

to US$359. The 250 MB of internal memory in the Amazon Kindle 1

can hold approximately 200 non-illustrated titles, and the memory is

expandable with an SD memory card. This model is no longer available,

as it was replaced by the Kindle 2.

Whispernet only works in the U.S., but content can be downloaded

from Amazon over the Internet. However, Amazon does not sell the

Kindle outside the United States, and will only sell content paid for by a

payment card issued by a US bank and with a US billing address. Plans

for a launch in the UK and other European countries are being delayed

by problems with signing up suitable Wi-Fi or cellular operators.

Kindle 2

On February 9, 2009, Amazon announced the Kindle 2 which became

available for purchase on February 23, 2009 for the price of $359.

The Kindle 2 features 16-level grayscale display, improved battery

life, 20 percent faster page-refreshing, a text-to-speech option to read

the text aloud, and overall thickness reduced from 0.8 to 0.36 inches

(9.1 millimeters). The Kindle 2 has 2 GB of internal memory of which

1.4 GB is user-accessible. Amazon estimates that the Kindle 2 will hold

about 1500 non-illustrated books. Unlike the original Kindle, Kindle

2 does not have a slot for SD memory cards. To promote the new

Kindle, author Stephen King made UR, his then-new novella, available

exclusively through the Kindle Store. This model remains available as

an alternative to the newer but considerably larger Kindle DX. On July

8, 2009, Amazon reduced the price of the Kindle 2 to $299.

Kindle DX

On May 6, 2009, Amazon announced the Kindle DX which retails for

$489. It is the first Kindle model with an accelerometer, automatically

rotating pages between landscape and portrait orientations if the

device is turned on its side. It is slightly over 1⁄3 inch (about 8.5 mm)

thick, has a 4 GB (3.3 GB user-accessible) storage capacity, holding

approximately 3500 non-illustrated e-books, a 9.7 inch (24.6 cm)

display with 1200 x 824 pixel resolution, and a battery life of “up to”

4 days while using wireless or 2 weeks offline. The DX adds support

for PDF files natively, built-in stereo speakers, and 1xRTT wireless

technology as fallback option for when EVDO connectivity is not

available. Like the Kindle 2, it does not have an SD memory card slot.

The model was released on June 10, 2009.

of the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, Volkswagen is

presenting the new Scirocco R for the first time anywhere.

A sports car without compromise and a race track that demands

everything of the driver will be meeting together this weekend.

Using 11 months of design and development, the Bavarian design house „Unique Sportcars“ has completed their first design concept: A Super Sports Car for the streets.

Limiting the series to the number of 11, the unique „Calavera“ design is based on the Ferrari F430, collaborating exclusively with Ferrari Specialist Novitec Rosso and Airbrush Artist Knud Tiroch.

The „Calavera“ concept (Spanish: Skull) is the brand of Unique Sportcars, mother of future de-sign implementations.

Technical Details

707 hp / 520 kW, 712 Nm, 0 – 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, a top speed of 348 km/h and extremely sporty interior appointments. At the heart of the CALAVERA lies the NOVITEC ROSSO twin-supercharger engine in its latest evolutionary stage. Up to now, the eight-cylinder, four-valve engine with a displacement of 4,308 ccm and mechanical NOVITEC ROSSO twin super-chargers produced 656 hp / 482 kW.

The sprint from rest to 100 km/h is shortened by half a second to 3.5 seconds. After just 10.5 seconds the car reaches 200 km/h. The 300-km/h barrier is shattered after 29.9 seconds. In combination with longer gear ratios avail-able upon request the top speed grows from 315 km/h to 348 km/h.

20-inch wheels instead of the standard 19-inch wheels: The three-piece NOVITEC ROSSO NF3 double-spoke wheels in sizes 8.5Jx20 in front and 12Jx20 on the rear axle fill out the F430 wheel houses perfectly. High-perfor-mance tires in sizes 235/30 ZR 20 and 325/25 ZR 20 come from technology partner PIRELLI.

Like all other body components the NOVITEC ROSSO front spoiler was de-veloped in the wind tunnel. It is attached to the underside of the production front apron. It lends the F430 an even more aggressive frontal appearance and reduces lift on the front axle

Agile, safe handling is one of the strengths of the NOVITEC ROSSO sport suspension for the Ferrari, optimized everyday use the other. Contrary to the production suspension the front can be raised by 40 millimeters at the push of a button to safely navigate past curbs, driveway entries and speed bumps. Once the car reaches a speed of 80 km/h the suspension automati-cally lowers itself back to normal position, about 35 millimeters lower than the production car. NOVITEC ROSSO sport stabilizers reduce body roll and provide even more direct turn-in.

Kapoor made her debut that year in J.P. Dutta’s war drama Refugee. Set during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971, the film centers on a man known simply as Refugee (played by debutant Abhishek Bachchan) who illegally transports civilians back and forth across the Indo-Pakistani border. Kapoor played Naaz, a Bangladeshi girl who falls in love with Refugee while illegally migrating to Pakistan. Her de-but performance was acclaimed by critics; Taran Adarsh of indiaFM wrote, “Kareena Kapoor has a magnetic personality, which will make

the viewer fall in love with her instantly. What surprises you is the ease with which she emotes the most difficult of scenes […] There’s no denying the fact that she is a natural performer who is very cam-era friendly.” Refugee was the fifth-highest grossing film in India in 2000, and Kapoor’s performance earned her the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. Kapoor then appeared alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Fardeen Khan in Govind Nihalani’s critically acclaimed film Dev, which revolved around the 2002 Hindu-Muslim riots in the Indian state of Gujarat. The film earned her a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance, as well as nominations for Best Actress at various award ceremonies. In 2007, Kapoor starred opposite Shahid Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali’s romantic comedy Jab We Met. Relating the story of two people with contrasting personalities who meet on a train and eventually fall in love, Kapoor played the female protagonist Geet Dhillon, a viva-cious Sikh girl with a strong zest for life. The film was received favour-ably by critics and became one of the year’s most successful films. Kapoor won several awards for her performance, including a Filmfare Best Actress Award and her second Star Screen Award for Best Actress. Rajeev Masand from CNN-IBN noted, “Uninhibited and spontaneous, Kareena Kapoor is the soul of this picture, its biggest strength, as she brings alive her character with not just those smart lines, but with the kind of candor actors seldom invest in their work.”

Following Jab We Met, Kapoor featured alongside Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, and Anil Kapoor in the action-thriller Tashan (2008). Though an indiaFM poll named it the most anticipated film of the year, Tashan eventually became a commercial and critical failure. Kapoor next starred in Rohit Shetty’s comedy Golmaal Returns, the sequel to the 2006 film Golmaal. The film received a mixed reception from critics and Kapoor herself received mixed reviews.

As of March 2009, Kapoor has completed filming for the romantic drama Kambakkht Ishq alongside Akshay Kumar. It is the first Indian film in history to be shot within Universal Studios Hollywood, Califor-nia and features several cameo appearances from Hollywood actors., which acclaimed to be the biggest opening in the history of Indian Box Office.

Mac started as a stand-up comedian in Chicago’s Cotton Club. After he won the Miller Lite Comedy Search at the age of 32, his popularity as a comedian began to grow. A performance on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam thrust him into the spotlight. He also had a short-lived talk show on HBO titled Midnight Mac. Later, Mac also acted in minor roles and got his big break as “Pastor Clever” in Ice Cube’s 1995 film Friday. Following that role, Mac also worked in many other films and had some television appearances in titles including, Booty Call, How to Be a Player, Life and What’s the Worst That Could Happen?. Mac was one of the few African American comedic actors able to break from the traditional “black comedy” genre, having roles in the 2001 remake of Ocean’s Eleven and becoming the new Bosley for the Charlie’s Angels sequel, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. In 2003, he gave an impressive performance in a supporting role as the villain “Gin Slagel, The Store Dick” in Bad Santa. He also starred in Guess Who?, a comedic remake of the film Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, and made an appearance in the 2007 film Transformers as the car salesman “Bobby Bolivia.” He served as the voice of Zuba in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

Bernard Jeffrey McCullough known as Bernie Mac, was an American actor and comedian. Born and raised on the South Side

of Chicago, Mac gained popularity as a stand-up comedian. He joined comedians Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, and D.L. Hughley as The Original Kings of Comedy.

After briefly hosting the HBO show Midnight Mac, Mac appeared in several films in smaller roles. His most noted film role was as Frank Catton in the remake Ocean’s Eleven and its two sequels and the titular character Mr. 3000. He was the star of The Bernie Mac Show, which ran from 2001-2006, earning him two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. His other films included starring roles in Friday, Bad Santa, Head of State, Pride, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Guess Who, Madagascar 2 and Soul Men which was one of his final films.

Bernie Mac was born Chicago where he was raised by a single mother, Mary, who died of cancer when he was 16. He put on shows for neighborhood kids on Chicago’s South Side and eventually he moved to Tampa, Florida.

In 2001, Fox gave Mac his own semi-autobiographical sitcom called The Bernie Mac Show. In the show, he suddenly becomes custodian of his sister’s three children after she enters rehab. It was a success, in part because it allowed Mac to stay true to his stand-up comedy roots, breaking the fourth wall to communicate his thoughts to the audience. The show contained many parodies of events in Bernie’s actual life. It was not renewed after the 2006 season. Viewers were left without a conclusion for the series, and no ending to the storyline of Bernie and Wanda trying to have a baby. Among other awards, the show won an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Writing’, the Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting, and last but not least, the Humanitas Prize for television writing that promotes human dignity.

In 2004, Bernie Mac had his first starring role as a retired baseball player in the film Mr. 3000. In the 2003 National League Championship Series, Mac sang “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” at Wrigley Field with the Chicago Cubs leading the Florida Marlins in the series 3-2 and in Game 6 by a 3-0 score.

On March 19, 2007, Mac told David Letterman on the CBS Late Show that he would retire from his 30-year career after he finished shooting the comedy film, The Whole Truth, Nothing but the Truth, So Help Me Mac. “I’m going to still do my producing, my films, but I want to enjoy my life a little bit,” Mac told Letterman. “I missed a lot of things, you know. I was a street performer for two years. I went into clubs in 1977.”

Mac died early in the morning on August 9, 2008 of complications due to pneumonia, his publicist said. He was 50 years old. Mac had been hospitalized for about a week at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to his spokeswoman. A few years before, Mac disclosed that he suffered from sarcoidosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most often in the lungs.

His funeral was held on August 16 at the House of Hope church in Chicago. More than 7,000 people attended his funeral. Among mourners were Jeremy Suarez who played his nerdy nephew “Jordan” on The Bernie Mac Show, Chris Rock, Richard M. Daley, Samuel L. Jackson, the other cast members from his series and his fellow Kings of Comedy: D.L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, and Steve Harvey. He is buried at Washington Memory Gardens Cemetery in Homewood, Illinois.

Just prior to his death, he had finished working on the film Soul Men with Samuel L. Jackson. He was also working on the films Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Old Dogs; Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa was dedicated to his memory. Old Dogs will pay tribute to him also when the film is released this November. The 2008 Bud Billiken Parade, held in Chicago on the day he died, was dedicated to his memory. On the day of his funeral, his hometown’s local TV station WCIU-TV aired an exclusive TV special titled “Tribute to Bernie Mac” and had interviews with his former colleagues like Camille Winbush, Tommy Davidson, Guy Torry and some of his close family members and friends.

Praise be to Allah, who ordained this month, the month of Ramadan, the month of fasting, the month of Islam, the month

of purity, the month of purification, and the month of prayers. In this month the Qur’an was made to descend as guidance to mankind and contains clear instructions and distinctions. He gave this month superiority over all other months by giving it abundant honor and dignity. He prohibited in it what He has allowed in other months in order to exalt it, and forbade in it food and drink in order to honor it.

O Lord! Bless Muhammad and his family, and inspire us to know this month’s excellence, and to honor its dignity, and to abstain from whatever You have forbidden in it. Help us to observe its fast, by restraining our limbs from disobeying You, and by employing them in that which would please You, so that we may not lend our ears to any vain speech, and may not direct our eyes, hands and feet towards anything forbidden, and that nothings fills our stomachs except what You have made lawful, and our tongues may not utter anything except what You have allowed.

O Lord! Bless Muhammad and his family, and give us grace to perform timely the five prayers with due regard to their limits which You have enjoined, and the rites which You have prescribed. In this respect, raise us to the rank of those who performed them with success, who duly observed their essential points, who always performed them at proper times, in most perfect and complete humility according to the rules laid down by Your Prophet, may You blessings be on him and his family.

And our Lord, give us grace in this month, to show favors to our relations, and do good to them, and to take care of our neighbors and do good to them, to take care of our neighbors with kindness and benevolence, to purge our property of obligations, and purify it by giving charity, and to call back those who have left us, and be just to those who were unjust to us, and make pace with those who were hostile to us.

O Lord! Erase our sins with the disappearance of this month’s crescent, and free us from our penalties with the completion of its days, so that the month may pass from us while You

have cleansed us from our guilt, and freed us from our sins. O Lord! Fill this month with our worship of you alone, and adorn its moments with our service to You, and help us in the daytime to observe the fast, and at night to pray and beseech You, help us to humble ourselves before you and lower ourselves in Your presence.

Imam Zaynul Abidin (a) said: The right of charity is that you know that it is a storing way with your Lord, and a deposit for which you will have no need of witnesses. If you deposit it in secret, you will be more confident of it than if you deposit it in public. You should know that it repels affliction and illnesses from you in this world and it will repel the fire from you in the next world. REF:

I tell you, hopeless grief is passionless;

That only men incredulous of despair,

Half-taught in anguish, through the midnight air

Beat upward to God’s throne in loud access

Of shrieking and reproach. Full desertness,

In souls as countries, lieth silent-bare

Under the blanching, vertical eye-glare

Of the absolute Heavens. Deep-hearted man, express

Grief for thy Dead in silence like to death--

Most like a monumental statue set

In everlasting watch and moveless woe

Till itself crumble to the dust beneath.

Touch it; the marble eyelids are not wet:

If it could weep, it could arise and go.
