The logistical challenges of corporate relocation can be staggering: it’s a true balancing act to maintain budget, asset inventory, and employee productivity as one oce closes and another opens. Business demands that all three of these parameters achieve high marks; successful relocation management requires experienced outsourcing.

Uni-Data’s Relocation Specialists are well versed in the processes necessary to assure smooth transition, and meet corporate requirements for background assurance, and professional decorum.

As part of Unity International Group, Uni-Data’s sister company, Unity Electric, a premier electrical contractor in the Northeast, can provide planning, installation and maintenance for the Power, UPS, and Structured Cabling that are an inherent part of site preparation, t-out and relocations.

Uni-Data's expertise has helped many of the world’s leading rms successfully relocate, upgrade and build-out their technology infrastructures. RELOCATION BEST PRACTICES

EFFICIENT RELOCATION SUPPORT

1 Tech = 10 workstations

Standard

Trading Floor

2 Techs = 10 workstations

1 Manager = 8 Technicians

Uni-Data conducts a Technical Survey, detailing quantities and placement

of all technology assets. Next, Uni-Data physically disconnects end-user workstation equipment including workstations, monitors, keyboards, mice, and peripherals

Uni-Data inventories,packs and labels equipment

according to destination manifest.

M

Movers transport materials to new location.

At the new location, Uni-Data reconnects all data, power & peripherals, and laces cables into furniture cable pathways.

Uni-Data certifies and tests workstations in the new location using generic logins provided by

the client to verify drive mappings, IP addressing, host name. Technicians map printers, ping the default gateway,

and test applications

Good Project Management is key: Uni-Data’s PM/IMD Coordinators interface with client’s technology & user groups on needs assessments, scheduling and asset management, while coordinating technicians, vendors, and suppliers to provide best practices and meet and exceed Uni-Data’s industry leading Service Level Agreements.

> Staffing Ratios (Day 1)

When clients return to work, End-Users find their equipment assembled, connected, functioning and positioned much the way they left things before

the move. Uni-Data provides on-site support managed from a central Command Center, utilizing either the client’s help desk, Uni-Data’s Integrated

Service Desk or an ad-hoc sytem dictated by the environment.
