• This solution adds the ability to run NASTRAN outside of FEMAP via command line

• Desktop versions only allow NASTRAN decks to be run internal to FEMAP on the system that created it– This is checked by having NASTRAN look at the

ENDDATA tag and determine if file has been edited and created on same system

– Rotor Dynamics• This adds the ability to analyze frequency

response for rotating systems

• Specialized Add-on specifically for high-speed rotating machinery

• What is the SA Toolkit and what does it do?

– The SA Toolkit is a set of post-processing tools used to organize and report results of your FEA.

– The toolkit takes selected data from the NX Nastran *.op2 file and presents the results in an easy to read format.

Stress Processor

• The stress processor summarizes margins of safety.

– Multiple user defined groups

– Multiple user defined subcases

– User specified failure theory

– Results can be written to text, Excel, and FEMAP neutral files.

– Margins of safety can be graphically displayed in FEMAP as contour plots.

• The stress processor can be used with the following NX Nastran solutions

– Sol 101, 108, 109, 111, 112

Grid Point Force Processor

• Calculates forces and force/unit length margins at user defined joints in the FEM.

– Evaluate strength of bonded joints

– Joint is defined using node and element groups.

Random Processor

• The random processor reads the results of a normal modes analysis and calculates the response of a structure.

– Base shake problem

• The random processor is the equivalent of a modal frequency run (SOL 111)

• Allows excitation in X, Y, and Z in the same run.

• The supplied DMAP or delivery database must be used.

• The model has to be constrained at one grid to simulate the base shake problem.

• Requires a PSD curve input.
