BABSON ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE College Credits: 4

During the Summer Study for High School Students

program, you will have the chance to develop your skills

as a passionate, self-motivated entrepreneur within a

close-knit, driven community in the Babson Entrepreneurial

Development Experience. This 4-credit college course

will help you to identify opportunities and act on them,

develop a real entrepreneurial venture, and learn what

it takes to make it happen.

In the classroom, you’ll develop your problem-solving

skills while working in a hands-on, team environment.

This course provides the opportunity to explore and

approach social, economic, and environmental problems

in the context of new ventures as solutions. You will learn

how to grow your commercial or social venture, and gain

access to the tools and resources needed for your business.

Innovative business leaders and real-world examples

will inspire you through lectures, site visits, and classroom

discussions. You and your team will use this insight to

develop solutions and pitch your action plans. You will

interact with corporate and nonprofit leaders as you

share your entrepreneurial plans. Past corporate

visitors include Campbell Soup Company, Verizon

Wireless, Target Corporation, Best Buy, and Bain Capital.

The Babson mindset of Entrepreneurial Thought and

Action® will guide your understanding of the opportunities

available and help make your ideas a reality.
