our broken culture

It is the reason America’s corporations continue to capitalize; it is why US Citizens must get a job and make a certain salary in a specific time frame in order to live adequately; it is why advertising agencies will settle for brain-washing people into buying their product more often than providing the truth; it is why the government gets to set their own salaries while several intelligent and determined Americans can’t even find a job, it is why so many people are willing to skip lunch for a week in order to have the hottest new item on the market; it is the reason why we can’t stop staring at our phones and why we get upset when someone isn’t giving up their lives to text us all day long; the list goes on and on.

In America, we have a culture where greed is encouraged as a measure of success. If you don’t have money, you can’t succeed. Therefore, status quo becomes the root of all attention and capitalism becomes not an idea of` opportunity as once was the American Dream, but becomes instead a rat race to the top. Money is God.

Those idolized in America are those people who have tons of money, celebrities, political figures, and successful businessmen. For several Americans, these are the people that are being looked up to- these are the people we are willing to imitate who we want to become.

America sucks and this shows us why.

Help out around the house, you lazy oaf!

I’m not saying you should pick up a religion for the sake of morals, but for god’s sake, have some R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

This rule has been around since the dawn of time: treat others as you wish to be treated.

Be open about your feelings - we can all get along much better if everyone was just on the same page, alright!?
