Competitions

Following the introduction of the group Nasheed competi-tion for girls last year, a Naat competition was added for boys and girls. The English speech competition topic was ‘Characteristics of Muslim Youth’. The other competitions were for Qirat and Adhaan. For the Arts competition children were asked to design a poster on A3 paper with the theme ‘Muslim Contribution to Britain’. All pupils were allowed to submit one piece of artwork, this enabled all of our students to be participants in a national competition. The prizes of trophies and art sets were awarded based on originality of design, creativity and how well the theme has been covered.

Sponsors This years competition and awards was kindly sponsored by UKIM Relief who deliv-ered a video presentation and the following message: “Since 1962, UK Islamic Mission has been working hard in order to lend a helping hand and give support to the helpless and needy. When it comes to help and relief efforts, UK Islamic Mission takes immediate and serious steps to deliver ultimate support to save people’s life and give them hope. Through the help of our donors we are able to change misery into felicity and turn a frown upside down so we can help people smile and enjoy life.”
