Job Purpose:

The role is part of the global Ux/UI Development team at Pune Captive center for the global surveillance platform.

Job Background/Context:

In today’s financial markets, firms need to develop complex multi scenario surveillance solutions to quickly detect and respond to abusive and erroneous trading. Our technology solutions combine real-time and historical data, making use of Complex Event Processing, trending pattern analysis and algorithms to detect market abuse, manipulation and rogue trading across Capital Markets in all regions and countries globally.

The role is an incremental position in Pune and part of the global UX delivery team for strategic Surveillance platform.

Key Responsibilities:The candidate will be responsible for developing UX/UI solutions for the strategic surveillance platformJava8 and Spring Boot will be the primary technologies used supplemented by strong technical appreciation of Mongo DB, Hive(Big data) and Oracle databases, HTML(4/5), Angular JS, JSON JQuery, Kendo Framework, Bootstrap3 and CSS3The candidate will apply internal standards for re-use, architecture, testing and general best practicesThe candidate will be responsible for Full Software Development Lifecycle, Code reviews, test case reviews and ensure code developed meets the requirements, Component Design/ Coding/ Unit Testing/ Debugging.Development Value:Opportunity to work with and learn from highly skilled and experienced global team members- Architects and Business analystsOpportunity to work on challenging environment and new technologies such as Cloud, high performance scale-out architecturePerson Specification:

Knowledge/Experience:12+ years in senior development role with experience on large and complex projectsThe candidate should have very strong technical experience in core JAVA8 and J2EE as well as database designHands-on experience on at least one of the framework such as Spring BootExperience on JavaScript and UI frameworks such as Angular JS, jQuery or Kendo UIExposure to Elastic Search (Kibana, Sense UI) and Elastic Search IndexExperience in designing websites with W3C standards using HTML4/5, CSS2/3 to get best cross-browser user experience for long-term user retention and engagementAbility to build MVC framework from front-end side Angular JS to back-end Mongo DB, in order to provide broadcast service as well as chatting serviceThe candidate should be proficient with Oracle PL/SQLExperience with Test Driven Development and proficient with a unit testing framework such as JUnit 4

Knowledge of JMS or SOAP or REST Web Services would be preferredExperience working on parallel development tracks at the same time is requiredUnderstanding of working in Agile Software Development (SCRUM) modelShould have root cause analysis skills, able to quickly analyse and interpret code and ensure that issues are resolved or escalated appropriately

Mandatory Skills:The candidate should have strong analytical skillsThe candidate must possess excellent communication skills as they will be interacting with people with diverse skills and seniority across different locations and time zonesThe sometimes ambiguous environment means that the candidate should also be experienced with multi-tasking and balancing tasks with priorities
