Stage six is at Fountain’s Mall inJeffreys Bay at 16:54 with the final stage forFriday in the centre of the town at 19:00.“On Saturday the Kings Beach finale will
be very exciting. While a short tar stage,we’ve designed it to be a dramatic finish andit will be a challenge for the competitors.”

This is according to Siphokazi Lugodlo (55)who once was unemployed, homeless andhopeless, but changed her mindset and at arelatively late age enrolled as a student at Nel-son Mandela Metropolitan University. If all
goes according to plan she will be capped nextApril receiving her BA degree majoring inPsychology.
Lugodlo will be the special guest speaker ata breakfast held for domestic workers, inspir-ing the women to let the best in them take con-trol of their lives.
“I’ve set my heart onbecoming a clinical psy-chologist. I believe this
is what I am destined to be.”The event is hostedatBarklyStreetTheatre
on the 17th August in celebration of Women’sMonth. Joining her on stage will be the popu-lar “Maria Zibula” or Themsie Times fromthe television series 7de Laan.
“The aimof this event is to acknowledgenot
only the role fulfilled by domestic workersin the lives of those whose households theytake care of, but also the role they have tofulfil in their own households,” said YoleneBasson from Khanya (“Be Bright Where YouAre”), a registered non-profit organisationpresenting this event exclusively for domes-tic workers.
“We kindly request employers of domesticworkers to treat these ladies to this specialevent by purchasing a ticket at Barkly StreetTheatre.
“There will also be lucky prizes for em-ployers who have supported this event bygranting their domestic worker the opportu-nity to be treated on this day.”
Last year’s event was well attended witha total of 100 domestic workers enjoying amorning full of inspiration and treats.
According to Councillor Siena Baartman,“The municipality will once again supportthis event and it will also be held in honourof Madiba. Mayor Ben Fihla responded toour invitation and there is a good possibilitythat he will be attending.”
Saloma September will be designing a spe-cial garment for guest speaker Siphokazi Lu-godlo.
The event is on the 17th August and willcommence at 09:00 sharp.
