Alpha Tau OmegaAmerica's leadership development fraternityRush
Who are we? We’re Students. We’re Brothers. We’re Friends. We’re Men.
We’re Alpha Tau Omega. The Theta Pi chapter of Alpha Tau
Omega has been on campus at the
University of Alabama in Huntsville
since 1979. We’re rich in tradition and
have a true sense of brotherhood.
The opportunity to become an ATO is
unlike any other opportunity on our
campus. Alpha Tau Omega provides you
the opportunity to be involved and
to be a part of an organization that
can provide the resources and support
necessary to help you achieve your
goals and be successful at UAH. ATO
is your opportunity to create
a lasting footprint on your
campus, your community and
your life.
Brotherhood is the true basis of our fraternity and is something
that we hold highly each and every day. Alpha Tau Omega is unique in the
fact that our chapter is made up of men from all walks of life that bring
their own contributions to our fraternity. The brotherhood that binds us
together allows us to see each other through the good times and the bad.
Even though college only lasts four years, your brothers in Alpha Tau
Omega will last for a lifetime.
philanthrophy and Service are strong values that
every ATO holds close to heart. Each brother logs over 100 hours of
community service a year - logging a total of 5891 hours this past year!
Over $80,000 have been raised for the Russell Hill Cancer Foundation through
our two tradition philantrhophy events: Basketball Dribble and Battle of
the Buffalo.
Basketball Dribble is the longest standing
tradition for our chapter having gone on for 23
years! Brothers dribble a basketball starting
from Flowers Hall Gymnasium on the campus
of UNA in Florence, Alabama to Spragins Hall on
campus at UAH. That’s roughly 64 miles!
Battle of the Buffalo just wrapped up it’s
6th year and raised over $30,000 this year alone!
Battle of the Buffalo is the largest chicken
wing festival in the Tennessee Valley. The event
is in memory of brother Paul “fish” Salmon.
Socials are great ways to meet new people, hang out with friends and brothers, and just have a
little fun! We have an active social calendar that involves swaps with all the sororities, date parties,
and formal. 2014 Formal will be on Bourbon Street in New Orleans!
Intramurals are a very exciting aspect of ATO and is competition at its finest. We’re active in
every intramural sport throughout the year.

The Theta Pi chapter of Alpha Tau Omega is one of
the largest and fastest growing fraternities at
the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Alpha Tau
Omega Fraternity is one of the best fraternities
on campus; having won the top fraternity honor
of Presidents Cup the last five years in a row.
Over the next few years you are going to hear
a lot about making right decisions. The choice
of which college to attend will be one of the
biggest decisions of your life. For that reason, it
deserves a lot of thought and consideration so
that you are sure you’re making the right decision.
I encourage you to put the same thought and
consideration into whether or not you will join a
fraternity, and if so - which one.
Along with deciding which college to attend, joining a fraternity will also be a decision that will change your life. So
if you make the decision to join a fraternity; make
sure to look around and make the right choice for
you.
I hope that you consider letting ATO be a part of
your college legacy.
