UAE BCM Standard AE/HNSC 7000:2012
The aim is to explain what is the requirements and program elements required in order to build the organization's ability to
business continuity.
Part one: Specifications
The aim is to clarify how to do those steps in the first part and general guidance about the
program and method of implementation.
Part Two:Guidelines
has a business continuity plan template and explain its elements and how to build it.

Current status Strong support from leadership to embrace
EM up to resiliency stage. Basic awareness in BCM throughout the
Government of UAE. A very well ERP maturity level throughout
the government nevertheless critical. Qualification of a good number of Gov.
staff in Certified BCM training providers. A complete BCM programme have been
implemented in a number of entities.
Future steps
An awareness program to be launched based on UAE BCM standard in both languages .
A centralized (UAE and Emirate level) body such as COE/or any proper authority to manage, coordinate, follow-up and provide assistance to entities.
A similar program to run in the private sector for selected entities by the BCM authority.
Build an auditing and certification body based on AE 7000:2012.
Build actual BC capabilities and resiliency throughout UAE.
