GETTING STARTED

To demonstrate the Yamaha MusicSoft products referenced in this brochure, you’ll need to know how to navigate to the desired content on the USB drive using the keyboard display. This process varies depending on the series and model. See the instrument manual or watch the video tutorials available through the QR code and web link below to get started.

Make sure you have the correct Yamaha MusicSoft USB flash drive labeled either “Tyros” or “Arranger Workstations.” These drives include Tyros and Arranger Workstation content pre-loaded for easy demo purposes.

To effectively demonstrate the apps, keep a dedicated iPad available on the sales floor with the NoteStar and MusicSoft Manager apps installed. You may also find it helpful to bookmark the Yamaha MusicSoft homepage for quick access to our full selection of products, apps and services.

MIDI SONGS

Customers can expand their onboard song libraries with thousands of popular downloadable songs from Yamaha MusicSoft. Each song

includes up to 16 separate MIDI tracks optimized for the voices on Yamaha instruments.

song, and press Play.

STYLE FILES

Any performer can become a one-man band with Yamaha MusicSoft Styles. Expand built-in Style libraries with hundreds of options, from pop to

jazz and classical to country.

REGISTRATIONS

Show customers how easy it can be to quickly set up their keyboards to play any song. Registrations choose the ideal

combination of on-board voices, styles, tempos, effects and One Touch Settings to match a particular song or genre – so preparing to play a song is quick and easy for amateurs and pros alike.

PIANOSOFT

Customers will enjoy listening to magnificent piano performances from the world’s greatest artists with PianoSoft albums. PianoSoft

Plus compilations include piano performances accompanied by backing tracks created using the instrument’s exclusive XG voice library. PianoSoft Solo albums allow Yamaha’s virtuosic artists to shine.

MUSICSOFT MANAGER 2.0

Now customers can purchase, transfer and back up content with this easy-to-use mobile app. With in-app access to the Yamaha

MusicSoft Store customers can browse our extensive library on the go, then transfer purchases directly to their instrument via wireless connection.

NOTESTAR 3.0

This digital sheet music app features high-quality, scrolling sheet music accompanied by live session instrument tracks that

put the player “in the band”. Customers enjoy hands-free page turns, while in-app mixing tools allow them to transpose songs, adjust tempo, isolate parts and change note sizes. The in-app store offers a huge selection of popular songs, ranging from solo piano arrangements to full ensembles including recorded vocals from professional singers.

CUSTOM AUDIOBACKING TRACKS

Using an online mixing tool, customers can remix the live, studio recorded audio tracks for hit songs

to create their own customized “backing band”. Once players have perfected their mix they can download the MP3 and play along.

(one with vocals and one without) to demonstrate the

custom mixing feature.
