Full-Service Shop
Traditional shop Florist provides everything the customer needs

Specialty Shop
Specialize in one specific aspect of floral design
Examples:Silk flowersDried flowersWedding flowers
Carriage Trade Shop
Similar to full-service shopsHowever, they only offer their services to a limited group of elite customers
Need to develop and maintain a reputation of quality and unique designs
Stem Shop
Offer a wide variety of flowers by the stem or bunch
Generally no design services Are often located in high traffic areas such as inside a mall or on the street
A stem shop offers cut flowers and foliage by the stem or bunch, they sell on a cash and carry basis. Bucket shops run on a similar basis, but the flowers and greenery are sold out of buckets.
Studio Operation
Concentrates on specialty areas such as party work and weddings
May operate out of a warehouse or home without a storefront.
Most sales are made by appointment or at the customer’s home or business.

These florists usually depend on unplanned purchases
Wholesale Florist
Link between the grower and the retail florist
The wholesaler purchases flowers and supplies from growers and suppliers around the world and sells to local retail shops.
