We really appreciate everyone who came to our January Hometown Heroes Festival events last month, there were certainly no winter blues in sight thanks to all the fantastic local talent we were busy celebrating!
As well as getting all loved up over the Valentine Weekend, this month we’ve got plenty of live acts, guest DJs, comedy, fundraisers, fashion shows, film nights, vintage & record fairs, quizzes, videogame tournaments, after show parties, live art and the best clubnights around!

THE GO! TEAM return with a brand new album ‘Rolling Blackouts’, their first in four years.
The Brighton sextet first exploded onto the scene in 2004 with their infectious mix of indie, hip-hop beats, samples, cheerleader chants and live instrumentation, making it impossible not to dance.
Debut album ‘Thunder, Lightning, Strike’ made them an overnight success in the UK, and led to a Mercury Prize nomination and worldwide tour.
The new album includes recent single ‘Buy Nothing Day’, featuring Bethany Consentino of BEST COAST, along with a guest appearance by Satomi Matsuzaki from DEERHOOF.

Rescheduled from December. Manchester indie legend TOM HINGLEY joined the Inspirals in 1989 until their split in 1995, during which time they enjoyed success with hits such as ‘This Is How It Feels’ and ‘Saturn 5’. He then started performing as a solo artist, releasing albums ‘Keep Britain Untidy’ (2000) and ‘Soulfire’ (2002) on his own label Newmemorabilia Records. As well as performing live, Tom teaches music business part-time at Salford University.
Support comes from local singer songwriters CHRIS HICKS and JON FAZAL, and music will be supplied by the awesome alt/indie 90s DJs MODERN LIFE IS RUBBISH!

COWBOIS RHOS BOTWNNOG are a North Walian band playing experimental country, folk., and have been making a huge impact on the Welsh language music scene over the last few years. Debut album ‘Dawns Y Trychfi lod’ spent several weeks at the top of BBC Radio Cymru’s C2 chart, then their next releases began leaning towards the more country aspect of their sound, working with a pedal steel player and re-working traditional Welsh folk songs.
