Being Human

“Being Human” is about a werewolf and a vampire who, together, rent a house haunted by a ghost where they settle down to try and lead human lives.

Set in Bristol.

“Being Human” is a series consisting on one pilot episode and six main episodes.

Heroes

“Heroes” is about select characters from all over the world that, following a total eclipse, discover they have super-human powers. It follows the discovery and development of their powers and the difficulties they have along the way including deciding whose “side” they are on.

Set all over the planet Earth.

“Heroes” is a series which so far, in the UK, consists of three seasons of around 25 episodes, though season two was considerably shorter because of a writer’s strike.

Hollyoaks

“Hollyoaks” is a soap based around the many lives and sub-stories of the village Hollyoaks.

Set in the fictional village, Hollyoaks, Chester, Cheshire.

It is a soap comprising of 30 minute episodes shown Monday to Friday.

The cast contains around 55 to 60 characters all with their own backgrounds, lives and stories to tell. A few are picked to focus on for their own storylines and it continues this way until that story is spent and another character gets their turn. However, anyone can pop up within these storylines.

Skins

“Skins” follows the individual stories of a group of teenagers through their two years in college. It is a drama, mainly, of self-discovery.

Set in Bristol.

It consists of three series with around ten episodes. Each series spans about a year.
