ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Peter Dufresne, EPTWith over 12 published papers dealing with condition monitoring, lubricant varnish, and contamination control, Peter is recognized as an expert on lubricant degradation and varnish. Peter is Executive Vice-President at EPT, and has worked with hundreds of power plants and oil and gas facilities around the world to improve equipment reliability through improved lubricant maintenance and analysis. A recent ASTM publication reported cost savings of over $100 million dollars has been achieved at

one of these companies from the optimization of their lubricant maintenance and analysis practices. Peter is a voting member of ASTM D02.C01 on Turbine Oil Analysis and Problem Solving and a Corporate Member at the Society of Tribologists and Lubricating Engineers.
