We have witnessed what has been happening recently in other awards and we think the voting system is somehow not always a true reflection of the artist’s abilities, those with financial means can determine the outcome at the expense of those with less means. Only four categories will be determined through an sms voting process and the rest will be adjudicated by our Independent Adjudication Committee”, said Mr Augustine Nethononda: Project Director of the event. The Lifetime Merit Award which focuses on recognising the legends will also be part of the categories and will be determined by the Independent Adjudication Committee.
