YOUTH WORSHIP, MAY 12 2013
The expression of reverence and adoration towards God.
WORSHIP
15 Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking, because you were all called together in one
body to have peace. Always be thankful.
16 Let the teaching of Christ live in you richly. Use all wisdom to teach and instruct each other by
singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
17 Everything you do or say should be done to obey Jesus your Lord. And in all you do, give thanks to
God the Father through Jesus.
COLOSSIANS 3:15-17
Where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.
It's a beautiful experience to worship the Lord with people who love God, and who worship the same God as yours.
Our Hillsong story An experience that changed the way she looked at “worship” big time.

Riz made it to Hillsong. Attended a regular service but not the annual Hillsong conference
Lessons from this Hillsong story:
Whenever you come to worship, wherever you are, God meets you there.
It doesn't matter where you worship, YOU become the place of worship
"Well, tell me this: Our ancestors
worshiped God at this mountain,
but you Jews insist that Jerusalem is
the only place for worship, right?" ~Samaritan Woman, John 4:19-24 MSG
“Believe me, woman, the time is coming when you
Samaritans will worship the Father neither here at this
mountain nor there in Jerusalem. The time is coming—it
has, in fact, come—when what you’re called will not matter
and where you go to worship will not matter. It’s who
you are and the way you live that count before God.
Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of
truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking
for: those who are simply and honestly themselves
before Him in their worship. Those who worship Him
must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their
true selves, in adoration.” ~Jesus, John 4:19-24 MSG
1. It doesn't matter what you are What your profession is, what your age is, the quality of voice or skills you have.
Lessons from the Samaritan Woman:
2. It doesn't matter where you are What country or city you're in, whether you're in church or alone in your room.
Lessons from the Samaritan Woman:
3. What matters is you come as you are Your whole being, your whole spirit, no pretentions
Lessons from the Samaritan Woman:
True worship is a matter of the heart. it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart.
When you worship, God looks at your heart. "Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

When everything is stripped away and all that is left is your heart, how does your worship look like?
When God listens to our worship as a congregation, what does He hear?
I worship You my God
I worship You my God
I love You, I love You
Forever I will sing
Forever I will be with You
Be with You.
