TRANSCRIPT
Trojan War Cartoon
Over the next two days, you and a partner will be creating a comic strip of one of the
events/episodes from the Trojan War. This is a narrative assignment. Hence, you must create a
strip with between 3 and 6 panels which tells the story of the Trojan War. These strips must
also fit together; therefore, you and your partner must collaborate with those working on
either side of your strip to create some sort of transition to their panels so that a reader can
follow the story throughout the entire class.
You are being judged on your story telling. Ergo, drawing is not of the upmost importance, but
the panel should look complete and final (no sloppy work), color would be advisable, dialogue,
and narration should also be present. When finished, you will provide a well-developed
paragraph on the back which explains your “artistic” choices in your cartoon.
Episodes to be done by class: (Some people may choose to work alone, all the events need to
be covered)
1. The Gods Party and Argument.
2. The judgment of Paris
3. The stealing of Helen
4. The gathering of the Greeks.
5. The argument between Agamemnon and Achilles
6. The battle of Hector and Patrocles
7. The battle of Hector and Achilles
8. Priam’s plea to Achilles.
9. The Death of Achilles and the fate of Ajax
10. The Trojan Horse
11. The Sack of Troy
