I started The Rhythmic Lounge in December 2010. At its start, it was a fairly simple website with the purpose of giving people a place to promote their talents and network. I had no idea that less than two years later it would transform into something much bigger. The website then underwent a complete revamp in July 2011, with a brand new look and the addition of many new features, including the creation of The Rhythmic Lounge Radio. Following suit, the radio started out as merely a 24/7 stream of hand-picked music submitted by talented musicians from the website but is now an integral part of the company. Listeners from all over the world tune in regularly to hear the wide variety of music, as well as the

educational, musical and talk-radio shows that we now host.

The radio’s success has only made me realize The Rhythmic Lounge could take me in new directions everyday rather than the other way around, which is why a digital magazine seemed like the next step. I’m incredibly proud to present to you hardworking artists and entertainers in this magazine and on the site, so enjoy!

BIG GREG Charlotte, NC Essince (TRL): Please introduce yourself: Big Greg: My Name is Big Greg. I’m a Hip Hop artist from Raleigh NC but I currently reside in Charlotte NC. I represent for the Carolinas (North & South) Essince (TRL): How long have you been doing music? BG: I have been doing music since I was a little boy. I was very musically inclined early on, my parents started a church and they didn't have anyone to play any instruments so I begin to teach myself how to play the drums, and played in the church for many years. In 2007, while in college, I was introduced to Hip Hop music. Me and a few guys began to hold punch line battles in the hallways of the dorm rooms. After many battles, I quickly became known as “PLK” (Punch Line Kid) in reference to my impressive punch lines. Essince (TRL): Who were your musical inspirations growing up? BG: I specifically remember seeing Snoop Dog on TV when I was a child. He made rapping look so easy and his style and timing couldn’t have been better. DMX, Fabolous & 50 Cent played major roles in my quest to pursue rapping. Fabolous punch lines always stood out, DMX style could never be duplicated and 50 Cent stole the game on his debut album. Now days I enjoy listening to Drake, J.Cole, Big Sean, and Lil Wayne. These artists all have different approaches to music but they all inspire me, there styles are crazy. I mean you can’t turn on the radio without hearing one of their songs. To know that these artist at one point of their careers, were in the same position as I am currently; gives me motivation to push forward in this industry. With that being said, I know my time is near because I’m positive that I create great music. Essince (TRL): How would you describe your sound? BG: A lot of people tell me that I have more of Drake style because I can create songs that are diverse and I even may attempt to make a song that has a smooth feel but has a catchy hook. I also can speed it up and drop a hot 16 with the best of them too. Hip Hop is constantly evolving and I believe my style fits the evolution. I like to keep people on their toes when it comes to my music. Just when you think you know my work, I will switch it up. My album “G4” that I’m currently working on will surprise allot of people. I have music that fits the south, east and west regions, it’s going to be huge. I was also able to crank out a club hit with my new single (Like A Stripper). The album will have a hit for everyone; I can’t wait to share it with everyone. Essince (TRL): What's the music scene like in Charlotte? BG: The Music scene in Charlotte is growing just as the population in Charlotte. I believe the industry is starting to take notice because this city is up and coming and could bring a new and fresh sound to the business. It also helps that the DJs around the city are open to play local music in clubs and potentially on the radio. There are several music venues to perform in Charlotte. The city hosts allot of open mics and venues that attract industry big names. I have performed in nearly every venue in the city. Essince (TRL): What are you currently working on and promoting? BG: I’m currently working on my fourth album titled “G4.” I have been investing all of my time on this album as well as promoting the first single (Like A Stripper). Several clubs have already in the area has added my new single into their rotations in addition to several Internet radio stations. The single is available for purchase on ITunes and Google Play. Angels & Tomboys Angels & Tomboys (sisters Madison and Mallory) have been taking America by storm with not only their great health products in their "Angels & Tomboys" line but also their talent. The Rhythmic Lounge: Will you please introduce yourselves? Madison: My name is Madison Star and I am 11 years old. I start middle school this year and I love to dance, sing, act, talk and text on the phone and read. I also like to design clothes and accessories and play with my Shih Tzu- Ginger. I like making good grades, being with my family and giving back to the community. Mallory: My name is Mallory Iyana and I am 9 years old. I like to play video games, bake cookies and cakes, play basketball, dance, sing and act. I’m going to the fourth grade this year. I'm an honor roll student. I like to hang out with my mom and volunteer. TRL: How did you come up with the name Angels and Tomboys? Madison: We think all girls have a little bit of girly girl and a little bit of Tomboy in them and our body sprays and lotions are for all kinds of girls. Some of my friends are what I would call Angels and some are Tomboys but they like some of the same smelling lotions and body sprays, even though they have different personalities and interests. TRL: Your products are great, what made you want to design a line of products for girls? Mallory: We were playing with some of our mom’s perfumes and we started mixing some of them together, but we didn’t like the way they smelled. Some of them were too strong and too flowery for us. I wanted something that smelled like me. For example, I like hot chocolate and I like ice cream. So, I came up with Frozen Hot Chocolate. Now we have ten scents. Rockin’ Blue Berry, Candy Star Glam, Deep Fried Ice Cream, Peanut Butter Jelly Time, Frozen Hot Chocolate, Lemonade Doughnuts, Happy Birthday!!! Strawberry Cupcake, Cotton Candied Apples, Adventures with Angels and Tomboys and Watermelon Funk. Madison: We tried to sell the perfume that we mixed together to our mom, and then we started coming up with ideas of our own for what we wanted to smell like. Everything we come up with is inspired by our family and friends, school and community. The different scents remind me of something in my life and I just like to smell good. TRL: I really like your slogan, "All Girls Are Created Equally Different.” What does that mean to you? Mallory: It means just be yourself because everybody else is taken. Don’t try to be anyone else because you should be you.

Madison: It means you can enjoy being a girl and have your own unique style. It’s good to be different. It also means you should feel good about yourself. When girls put on Angels and Tomboys, I want them to smell good and feel good. TRL: When you aren't busy singing and dancing and working on new products, what do you like to do for fun? Madison: I collect purses, stickers, earrings and bottle cap and I use them for design projects. I started taking swimming lessons this summer and did some dance competitions and hung out with my friends. I like to donate to the women’s shelter in my city too. I make sure that during my birthday people donate to the shelter because it’s important to me to help other people. This year, my birthday party theme was emoji. I had an emoji cake and balloons and I asked for jackets for the girls in the shelter. My friends and family gave about 40 coats and jackets. Mallory: I collect hot wheels, Kevin Durant posters, and I watch Charlie Chaplin movies. I started swimming lessons this summer too and I went to some sleepovers and went out of town with my family. My 8th birthday party was mustached themed and I had a mashed potato bar. My friends helped me donate 45 pairs of shoes to the shelter

Paytra Gessler by Ross Guity

Toledo, Ohio; New York City Currently in her late-teenage stage of life on Planet Earth (18 to be exact as of this article publishing), ultra-talented and creative music-maker/dancer Paytra Gessler has been honing her skills at a feverish pace over the past few years, and is now primed and ready to showcase her one-of-a-kind 'Hip-Pop' sound to the masses globe-wide. This gorgeous internally awesome and physically-fit form of femininity is 50% Chicana (Mexican extraction), and with musical influences ranging from chart-toppers Alicia Keys (Paytra's a talented keyboardist in her own right), Beyonce', Rhianna, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, just to name a few, there's no question, nor a doubt that Ms. Gessler will combine those sonic elements and carve out her own niche towards hopefully a big-time, hugely successful career. Gessler also recently became the lead spokesperson for high performance drink Nth Degree's ad campaign (www.Nth4u.com), which has added to the already-building excitement of things still to come. We at TRL magazine caught up with Queen Pay G. for a brief Q&A session. Ross Guity (TRL): When curious music fans come to see you perform live for the first time, what can they anticipate from your show? Paytra Gessler: They can anticipate a mixture of cultures, genres, and energy levels. I'm all about diversity, and drawing from all my influences. I'll always play my piano with a live band, but I love getting up and dancing with my dancers too. It's always a good show! Ross Guity (TRL): What qualities of your musical artistry do you feel will kind of separate you from the pack of the current crop of talent? PG: There is nothing out there right now like me. I feel that I have art with a message and meaning. It's not just a facade; it's ME. Everything I write about and do is from within and real to my life and experiences. And with the unique way I grew up, I believe it brings a diverse sound. Also, I feel like I'm truly relatable. I'm just a normal girl who is young and crazy, and I know what I want and I am chasing it! Ross Guity (TRL): Which notable artists do you see yourself collaborating with in the booth and even onstage? PG: I would LOVE to collaborate with Alicia Keys, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani. These are all producers and recording artists that have a HUGE influence on my brand of musicality. Alicia inspired me to take my piano skills to the Soul genre - rather than just Classical. Since I began music as a Classical pianist, I believe the transition into Soul and Pop made it a passion rather than a pastime. THANKS ALICIA!!!

Joe Leonard & The Southern Soul Band Joe Leonard learned how to play the bass guitar at the age of 4, playing with his dad, while neighbors watched him the windows. His interest didn’t stop there. While playing for the church, Joe also learned to play drums and the organ. Though born in Port Lavaca, Texas, his family relocated to Detroit while Joe was still young. This proved to be beneficial in the young musician’s life. This move allowed Joe to spend countless hours in the presence of such Motown greats as Kicker Womack, Ben Baber (Jazz organist) Ronnie Sandelin, Jimmy Sterling (former Chairman of the Board) drummer, Norma Jean Bell, Shields of Faith (Gospel Quartet) Roosevelt Leaks and a host of others. Joe turned that exposure to such great artists into motivation. The Mark May Band (long running opening act for the renowned Allman Brothers) was a driving force behind where he is today. Mark provided encouragement and coaching. With May, Joe learned to express what he felt through his instrument. Joe has been afforded the opportunity to share the stage with Kicker Womack, Ben Baber, Ronnie Sandelin, Billy “Soul” Bonds (Scat Kat Kitty Kitty), Lady Aubrey, Georgi’O Green, Kenne Wayne, Andre Lee, and Jimmy Sterling. Matt LandePortland, OR

Matt Lande, an alternative recording artist from Portland, has launched a

crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo to raise funds to complete his new

album, “Glow". The album contains the song “Looking Down,” which honors

two friends of Lande’s who passed away from cancer, late last year. The song

was written to help raise funds for cancer research and to help families of

cancer patients. The proceeds of the Indigogo campaign will be used for mixing,

mastering, and promotion of the album.

Lande has been compared to the smooth vocalist, Darren Hayes (Savage

Marion'Forget'Ontario, Canada ' My dad who was a draftsman, had an unique and inspiring way to channel the energies of a hyper little girl, he would hand me a huge piece of drawing paper and some pencils so i could draw while he worked on his current project. Since, i cannot remember a time without a pad or lose paper and pencil as my constant companion. Though i did not have any formal art instruction until high school. I was exposed to arts with books and material and crafts, with my mom who designed and made craft ideas from mini Santa's to fancy embroideries. The art and creativity was a big part of my childhood.

After starting another art course, the demands and rewards of motherhood saw to it that it was put on the back burner but always simmering. When i wasn't doing art, i was always doing some kind of creative activity from model building to crochet, designing my own

patterns. in time, when circumstance allowed, i went back to school. One diploma at Academy of Learning for Pc Support Specialist, then the second at Niagara College For Graphic Fundamentals And Fine Arts. My influences range from Neolithic to 19th century impressionist art on up to present day. You will see i have taken to the impressionist period and can see the influences in many pieces of my work. Little incidents in just living an ordinary life spark a creative drive to a new painting or piece that emerges from that speck of inspiration. The past 4-5 years has been both a blossoming of output on a mooded commercial success. The critical acclaim spurs my creative drive to continuously push back the boundaries of my art. I cannot know where my art will take me but i do aspire to exhibit in places like Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver as well as stepping out of Canada to enter the international art world with a first stop to New York City. My ultimate goal is to become an internationally known artist. ART EXHIBITION BY ROCK PHOTOGRAPHER IS THE LARGEST EVER

A stunning art exhibition of 13 images by iconic rock photographer Nick Elliott, measuring a massive 8.5 meters high, has made its first public appearance to create what is believed to be the largest outside art exhibition ever. The exhibition, ‘Size Matters’, featured some of the world’s most famous musicians and was reproduced by leading digital printers, Structure-flex Limited, as individual free-standing exhibits which were unveiled to an audience of 65,000 at Cholmondeley Pageant of Power in the UK in June. The breath-taking show featured a collection of black and white creative images captured by Nick over his career of artists including E-Street Band’s Nils Lofgren, Thin Lizzy’s Ricky Warwick, Beverley Knight, Motörhead’s Lemmy, The Darkness’ Justin Hawkins, Simple Minds’ Jim Kerr and Europe’s Joey Tempest, amongst others. Nick commented: “I am absolutely thrilled with the exhibition and how well it was received. When I created the concept I was confident that it was the first time that something like this had ever been done before but didn’t expect it to be so spectacular.”

Rock photographer Nick Elliott has worked in the music industry for over 20 years and his images have frequently been featured on album artwork as well as being published extensively across the media. “I wanted to create an exhibition that was truly breath-taking,” explained Nick. “Size Matters is about immersing the observer into the live performance, to re-create the experience I had when I shot the image. “I’ve shown my work around the world for many years as limited edition fine art for collectors, but this was the first time I’ve taken a show directly to the viewer. “It was all about reproducing the exhibits as big as feasibly possible so that it could be appreciated at a distance but also immeasurably powerful and engulfing close up.” The exhibition was an ambitious project that was conceived by the world-renowned photographer over three years ago and posed some enormous challenges that needed to be overcome to make the show a reality. Nick sought the expertise of specialist wide format digital printers, Structure-flex, to bring the show to life.

Paul Reeve, Managing Director at Structure-flex, commented: “Innovation is always challenging but we’re proud to have been able to have been involved in such an impressive project and to contribute our expertise.” Established 45 years ago, Structure-flex’s Graphic Division has recently invested a further £450,000 in the latest technology and has a vast wealth of experience in wide format digital printing being one of Europe’s leading suppliers of a diverse range of products manufactured from flexible, heavy-duty, PVC coated textiles. “Producing the images at the required dimensions wasn’t an issue,” explained Paul, “but retaining the detail in Nick’s images was crucial so we utilised our latest technology, which is capable of printing a vast array of grey tones, to re-create the true image. “The fabric was also critical to ensure that it was capable of reproducing the required level of detail but was also robust enough to be displayed outside, open to the elements as free-standing pieces of fine art. “A number of proto-types were produced at various sizes and

tested on different fabrics before the final specification was recommended. “Designing a suitable structure that depicted the look and feel of pieces of art yet secured them into position to fulfil any health and safety requirements was also a big challenge.” Additional dates to show Size Matters are currently being investigated and will be announced shortly. The multi-instrumentalist, Ron Handy, was born and reared in Montgomery, Alabama. He began playing guitar in grade school. In junior and senior high school, Ron began to concentrate primarily on Alto Saxophone and he participated in various county and state honor bands. During high school, Ron not only played in the marching, symphonic, and jazz bands, but he also arranged and composed music for these bands. This pivotal period in his life influenced Ron’s decision to pursue a career in music. After high school graduation, Ron enrolled in college at Alabama State University, where he earned a music degree with honors. Presently, Ron is employed at Alabama State University in the Department of Music. Ron has been the recipient of the ASU President’s Excellence Award and he was inducted into the Lanier High School Hall of Fame (his high school alma mater) for creative musicianship and service to the community. He has also received numerous other awards for music and for community service. The Rhythmic Lounge: Was there an "aha" moment that made you say, "I want to be a musician"?

Ron Handy: Coming from a musical household where everyone in the house played an instrument and/or sang definitely had an impact on me, but my “aha” moment came when I was in high school. I had a wonderful band director, Farrell Duncombe, who saw some potential in me and allowed me to go as far as I wanted to go under his guidance. I was the saxophone section leader and, as a teenager, was allowed to arrange musical selections and conduct them in rehearsals. The fire within me was raging once I stood in front of the band for the first time to conduct my very first marching band arrangement (laughs). Honestly, it didn’t turn out that great but Mr. Duncombe encouraged me to keep at it. I was so determined to practice that Mr. Duncombe asked the school principal if I could have a key to the band room. I think he was tired of me “bugging” him (laughs). His request was granted and I was able to practice in the band room at any time. I loved it and my desire to be a good musician (along with being a responsible young man) was of “high priority.”

TRL: You play several instruments! How did that come about?

RH: Wow! That’s a good question! As I stated earlier, my family had instruments around the house all the time and it sparked my interest to see how each one operated. Several years ago I worked with John Gibbs, a fantastic musician who owns a music store here in Montgomery. Whenever I was in the store I would watch customers come in to purchase different instruments. To my surprise and amazement, John would demonstrate each instrument that was requested. I don’t mean “tinker” with it (smile). He could “really” play every instrument that he put his hands on…WELL (laughs). It was great for me to see a person do that and he was gracious enough to show me some techniques on different instruments. I was getting into multi-track recording at the time and I had to lay all of the tracks myself. Whew! During those days I didn’t have digital recorders to work with, so everything went to tape. It really helped my musicianship because I had to literally “perform” every part in its entirety. I continue to work like that now because I get a better feel for the music by actually “playing” the parts separately.”

TRL: Why was going to college and getting a degree in music important to you?

RH: First of all, both of my parents are retired educators and going to college was always stressed to me, along with my siblings, as a way to position ourselves for a better life. I was so into music in high school that my mind was made up about having music as a major. I really wanted to learn everything that I could about music and possibly teach one day. My saxophone instructor in college, Dr. Laurence Hayes, played a major role in convincing me to soak up all of the knowledge that I could from him. Believe me, he had a wealth of knowledge and I was encouraged to go beyond my musical barriers. The music was so difficult that I would spend 4 to 6 hours a day working on various exercises. I once asked, “Why are you giving me such difficult pieces to learn?” I soon found out that he was planning to retire and I am now in his old office at Alabama State University. Talk about irony (smile). Attending college and getting a degree in music has been extremely beneficial to me. I owe a major debt of gratitude to all of my former teachers for the seeds that they’ve sown in me. May God bless them all!

TRL: You've performed numerous times as a solo act. How challenging is that?

RH: That’s a great question! The solo act came about as the result of my maturing as a multi-instrumentalist and producer. I owe a lot of my decision to perform solo to Dr. George Shaw, a Long Beach, California based musician/producer/educator whom I met several years ago. He literally took me under his wing and instructed me on the “ins” and “outs” of studio recording. He’s a guru when it comes to studio gear and he’s an awesome trumpet player. Well, I had a performance coming up for a festival and was working so hard that I didn’t have time to pull a band together for rehearsals. I was about to cancel the engagement when Dr. Shaw says, “Do it yourself!” His statement changed everything for me and I began to perform with or without a band. I spent a great deal of time learning several tunes on a variety of instruments to enhance my “live” performances. Performing live with a band is wonderful and I enjoy that aspect tremendously. The challenge of performing “live” on a “track date” concert is that it requires a lot more energy. Since I’m performing the instrumental parts on the tracks, I always think about my energy level and which instrument(s) I will be playing “live” to keep things fresh and interesting. It’s truly a challenge, but I enjoy it!

TRL: Do you remember the first time you heard yourself on the radio?

RH: Yes I do remember the first time I heard a selection that I’d recorded in the studio on the radio (laughs). Back in the day, I was always working on stuff (smile). A good friend of mine and music business mentor, Steve Myers, would always ask me… “Are you working on some material?” I would always say “yes” and he would tell me to get it to him as soon as I was done. After several months of asking the same question and getting the same answer from me, I reluctantly gave Steve a tape to check out over the weekend. I didn’t think it was ready, but he took it and returned it to me on the following Monday. He told me he liked it and I said “thanks, but I’ll finish it soon”. To my surprise, I was driving and listening to our campus radio station (WVAS FM 90.7) when I heard one of my selections on the radio. You see, Steve Myers was the station manager at the time and he’d copied the tape and put it on the air. I guess he was tired of “waiting on me” and decided I was ready (Laughs). As I think about it, I’m glad he did that. I would probably still be “getting ready” today (smile)! Thanks, Steve!

TRL: How did the interesting concept of the "Killing Me Softly" video on YouTube come about?

RH: The “Killing Me Softly” track and video came about very quickly. The vocalist that I work with, Christina Mims, has always loved that song and wanted to perform it. I laid the instrumental tracks for her to rehearse with. She liked it and went on the computer to make sure she had all of the lyrics correct. We were not really intending to “record” the song at that time. It was really just a “fun” thing. She looked over the lyrics for a few minutes and said…”Hey, I want to lay some vocal tracks over what you’ve done.” She proceeded to lay the lead and the harmony tracks in one take each… top to bottom. Wow! As we were listening back to the performance Darrick Long (an ASU student) walked into my office and said… “I really like that and I have an idea.” Darrick takes his iPhone out of his pocket and says…”let’s make a video”! The footage on the iPhone was shot right then. As we listened to the lyrics of this great Charles Fox – Norman Gimbel composition, Darrick (along with his twin brother Eric) had a concept to convey a unique message through the video. The world recently commemorated the 60th Anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery Voting Rights March and State Senator Quinton Ross played the video for visiting dignitaries during their visit to Montgomery. The video was met with a rousing ovation of approval and we are all very proud to have been a part of it. We’ve received many positive emails and texts from around the world from those who have viewed the video on YouTube! The Rhythmic Lounge: For those who aren’t familiar with you, please tell us in your own words...who is Cardye and what is it that you want people to understand about what you do? Cardye: I want to celebrate relationships in a new light! I feel that R&B has strayed away from its roots. The genre used to speak of unconditional love and the pursuit of it! I want to bring back the qualities of love that are easily forgotten, or tainted by one hitter quitters. I want to showcase the sexy side of relationships by pulling from real experiences. It's not all pretty, maybe a little grungy at times, like the guitar! But at the end of the day, you know where you want to be. I speak for the man that is sure of himself and knows what he wants out of life! Overall, spreading great music and love! TRL: What level of influence did growing up in North Carolina have on your pursuit in music and entertainment? Cardye: I believe North Carolina is one of the biggest melting pots of the country! Many people from the Deep South, Mid West, and North all seem to gather to this state (The middle ground). So I was exposed to a lot of musical genres. From Bluegrass to Gospel, then back around to R&B and Hip Hop! The vast numbers of musicians here also influenced me to get out and grab my own instruments! I've met more musicians here then inspiring artists! TRL: You are not the average 2015 R&B artist. What truly sets you apart? Cardye: I would have to say my original sound and lyrics! The music is what reaches the listener. I want to connect with my listeners like no one else. I tend to write more about real life situations and experiences that people can relate to. At the end of the day, it's just you and your significant other. If I can help set the mood, or give you something to ride to while you're going out! Mission accomplished! I want to create memories. That's what sets me apart! TRL: Have you ever considered expanding your talent into other areas of music and entertainment, such as producing etc? Cardye: I'm always trying to push myself! I am a true guitarist at heart, so production was always in the picture! Being a part of the entire creative process is what I crave as an artist! I was blessed enough to do some guitar work on Trey Songs album "Chapter 5" Interlude 4 U. I see more opportunities like this in the future...God willing! TRL: Are there any upcoming events or projects that you’d like to mention? Cardye: I'm really excited about this year in general! I took some time off to have my daughter and now It's time to get back to work! I've already released a single this year under my label Urban Sexy Entertainment called Wants & Needs. I'll be dropping another single mid August! This will lead up to an event presented by U.S.E. called The Raleigh Stand Up Concert! Michael Karr by Patrick Ross Manhattan, New York Musician Michael Karr is one of those rare instances of humble musical genius. I spoke with Michael over the phone recently to talk with him about what inspired the music from his latest album entitled “Think It Over” on which he is the sole instrumentalist on all the cuts with one exception, the vocals sung by the late Izzy Rivera. A very warm and soft-spoken individual, it is through his music that Michael finds his best expression I believe. Inspired by his father a multi-instrumental musician who took him everywhere as a child and exposing him to various musical settings, he began his voyage through music at the tender age of eleven on his first recording dates with the Pittsburg Youth Symphony as a soloist. His ability and talent recognized by Trombonist Randy Purcell earned him a scholarship to Carnegie Mellon University. After completing his education and receiving two Bachelors degrees by age 19, he began playing and touring nationally and in Europe. Playing with a veritable who’s who of musical groups and artist, a list of which would go beyond the scope of this article, suffice it to say he has earned the respect of many great and talented musicians over the course of his career. Equally talented on both piano and trumpet, he is also an arranger, lyricist, composer, engineer, and producer. Having been signed to various labels during his career and producing a top ten hit on Billboards R&B charts with Stanley Fields cover of “You, Me & He” on the 3C label. It is the women in his life that have most inspired him, as is the case with his daughter after whom the track “Sarina (Sarah)” on his latest album is named. A resident musician in many notable jazz venues throughout New York City, and almost every club east of the Rockies – from after hours clubs, stadiums, and two Presidential Inaugural Balls. He is the leader of Michael’s Karrtet™, which features the musicianship of Ron Affif, Victor Jones, John Benitez, Randy Johnston, Alex Blake, and Essiet O. Essiet. Jazz Improv magazine has him listed as “Noteworthy Performance”.
