Casa Buonarroti

Casa Buonarroti is a museum in Florence. The building was a property owned by (but never occupied by) the sculptor Michelangelo, which he left to his nephew, Lionardo Buonarroti. The house was converted into a museum dedicated to the artist by his great nephew, Michelangelo Buonarroti the Younger. Its collections include two of Michelangelo's earliest sculptures, the Madonna of the Steps and the Battle of the Centaurs. A ten-thousand strong library has accumulated there over the centuries,[1] which includes the family's archive and some of Michaelangelo's letters and drawings.

Ponte Alle Grazie

Ponte alle Grazie (Ponte simply meaning bridge) is the Bridge alle Grazie over the Arno River in Florence, Italy. It is the oldest and longest bridge in Florence and was originally built in the early 13th century. Almost 120 years later it was rebuilt with nine arches, and structures were built on the bridge similar as the ones that can still be seen on the Ponte Vecchio. However, to accommodate the railway tracks, those buildings that housed shops such as bakeries and millineries were removed from the bridge in the late eighteen hundreds.

Santa Maria del Carmine

The Cappella Brancacci is a tiny chapel reached through the cloisters of the other-wise pretty plain Santa Maria del Carmine Church due to the fact that most of the church was destroyed in a re in 1771. It is considered a miracle that the Brancacci and Corsini Chapels survived the intense re that destroyed everything else in less than 4 hours. The Church belongs to the Carmelite order, and like San Lorenzo, offers an unnished façade.
