TRINITY SCHOOL’S SPOTLIGHT ON ART 2016
Trinity School's Spotlight on Art is here! If you have read my post on making
your home visually appealing through abstract art, here's an opportunity to add
to your collection for an instant update to your home. With its beginnings in
1982, Trinity School's Spotlight on Art has introduced new works by emerging
and established Southeastern artists. With works by over 350 artists, the
inventory is huge and ever-changing so I visit two or three times during the
week. It's such a restorative art break from the daily routine of life!
Trinity School's Artists Market:
February 1 - 6, 2016
Monday, Feb 1: 6 PM - 9 PM
Tuesday, Feb 2 - Thursday, Feb 4: 8 AM - 4 PM
Friday, Feb 5: 8 AM - 9 PM
Saturday, Feb 6: 10 AM - 6 PM
Here's a sampling of the artists you may see, purely based on my personal
preference.

Who doesn't love a beach umbrella scene, but I am especially taken with Mark
Boomershine's realism.

Installing an abstract landscape is like adding a window to your home. It can
visually enlarge a space, and while it won't stay with your house, it certainly will
help you sell it.

This is my favorite work from Isabelle Gautier. I am always attracted to calming
colors and archways. The one below reminds me of a cloister in a monastery.

Rainy street scenes not only add a window in your room but a sophisticated
architectural element as well.

I really find it hard to take my eyes off this and can't wait to see more of Mary
Veazie's work this week. She is so talented and her subjects are very diverse:
children, street scenes, florals and horses! This could be dangerous for me.

Carylon Killebrew is simply wonderful.

A little lake house scene from Wendy Jackson takes you away.

I like this from Joseph Guay because: 1. It's a magnolia, 2. It's structural, 3. It
would look so striking in a neutral room to add a modern edge.

This reminds me, my beautiful listing at 2390 Cumberland Drive, in
super-convenient-to-everything Vinings/Smyrna is not only a perfect family
home, but is so visually appealing, in part due to the works collected by the
owners who have been involved in the Trinity School's Artist's Market for many
years. Take a look:
