Trias
Trias is a Belgian development organisation active in twelve countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia. Trias supports almost 600.000 entrepreneurs through more than 80 local partner organisations. Trias and her partner organisations support people working in smallholder agriculture or as micro-entrepreneurs. To support entrepreneurial people in the South, they work on four core themes: microfinance, business development services, marketing and organisational strengthening. Throughout the whole of her programs, Trias also focuses on transversal themes like gender, diversity and sustainability.

Realised project: Analysis of the Financial flows Oxfam Fairtrade cvba and Oxfam Wereldwinkels vzw
Summary: The project is about implementing a CRM system in Trias ngo. The system has already been
selected even as the vendor. It concerns CRM Microsoft Dynamics 2011 and should be linked to the
current accounting system which is Navision or NAV. Both systems speak the same languages. We would
like to use CRM within Trias to deal with gift processing & fundraising , relationship management, address
management, event administration, planning and monitoring of activities etc. The implementation will
take place over 2 years. 2012 will mainly focus to translate the business requirements into the software
system. The students will be asked to understand and document the Trias business processes. This will
also include the design of all logical flows . This will require a business understanding of Trias ngo
partnering with 6 different member based organisations in Flanders present in every single commune and
people are often members of more than one of these organisations; An extensive profile of each member
will thus need to be designed. It will require a methodology approach from the students even as analysis
skills to raise the right questions in order for the user to give the appropriate answer. This should all be
documented and approved by the CRM Microsoft dynamics company in order for them to program the
system in line with the Trias requirements. This would take place in 2013 for budget reasons
Follow-up possibilities: to be finalised
