The Oversized Parka

Minimally styled, volume silhouette with a mid thigh length. This parka is made from a water resistant material

and is an essential to complete the outdoors look.

The Relaxed Hoodie

An oversized, long-length fit with a cosy and relaxed appeal. A heavily brushed jacquard is used for this hoodie

to add an outdoors element.

The Quilted Gilet

The essential gilet has a fitted silhouette with quilted features and a strengthened invisible zip.

It is a given item for this trend.

The pleated chino

Updated with a pleat (or two) and tapered leg shape, this chino incorporates a soft volume through the thigh, side

Angle pockets and rolled cuffs.

Jacquard and Oxford are the recurring fabrics used for most silhouettes.

Plastic coating is used as a waterproof material for the essential outdoors

parka, with quilting being used as a feature on the gilet.

heavily brushed jacquard is also a main fabric appearing on the hoodie to provide a

corroded texture.

The main details for this trend are ergonomic, oversized and relaxed silhouettes consisting of

concealed features,

big pockets and strengthened plackets.

camouflage print is also a recurring detail on most silhouettes.

For the Country Road customer, ‘Escapism’ brings an outdoors look. With earthy and grey tones

being dominant and occasional pops of green and blue, a warm and camouflage palette is conveyed.

Silhouettes are oversized, long in length and loose, providing a relaxed, cosy and comfortable appeal.

Materials used in this trend range from a waterproof covering, to a textured jacquard and quilting. The adaptation of this trend is suited for men who are adventurous; those who enjoy escaping

on the weekend.Oversized, comfortable,yet smart.

A modern take on the iconic Australian outback.A recognition of what this harsh landscape provides

and therefore an ingenuity in fashion, home and lifestyle that has been formed with the fickle resources at hand.

Fabrication, silhouette and texture all reflective of what has been required to weather the land while maintaining a relaxed Australian feel.

Australiana is an innate comfort within, sparking memories of past adventures and inspiring new ones. An appreciation of the lucky country.

2Australiana

The pallette is derived and inspired from the confluence of a dry,

dusty land, eroding into a forever persistent coastline.

The Shearling Jacket

The classic shearling jacket simplified, with the removal of patch pockets and exessive pieces used throughout the body. the collar remains large and billowed to allow it

to hug the neck. This silhouette is designed to be double breasted.

The Tunic Knit

An oversized and boxy silhouette with a double rib crew neck, simplistic in design with saddle shoulders and

reasonably heavy guage knit.

The Workwear Shirt

A scuffed up classic shirt, heavy duty pockets, button down collar and reinforments used including stitiching and metal

hardware. the silhouette is relaxed and due to heavier fabrication does not hug or stick to the body.

The Worker Chino

A combination between the jean and chino, the silhouette is a tapered fit allowing for room in the crotch and thighs and slightly narrowing in the calf with enough fabric to turn up the cuffs. Stud buttons along the waist band for

suspender use tie off the practicality of these pants.

An overall natual fabrication follows the Australiana theme

using sheepskin, wool and cotton. Unrefined

fibres and yarn that leaves slubs and a speckle throughout the fabric. a heavy weight cotton

such as hardwearing drill will be used in work wear chinos whereas a lighter chambrey for

the shirts. The knitwear is quite chunky with mendium to heavy guage

knits.

‘Austaliana’s’ trims and details are subtle, and follow

the worn, worker look. ghosted white out seams and embroidered mending embody this,

however give it a stylised look. Fold back funnel collars with metal zippers are a classic look, almost iconicaly Australian and small details in turned up

seams bring in subtle colour and texture that may be too intricate as a whole look.

To the country road customer Australiana feels like home. It is a relatable and comforting style that embodies the

relaxed Australian culture as well as an iconic hardworking attribute.

The fabrics and details reflect this. Through the use of natural fibres and hardware including rivets, metal zippers

and reinforced stitching; fashion and work wear find an effortless union.

A modern take on classic colours is derived from the landscape, while keeping a palette that is ‘no fuss’ and

will fit into any wardrobe.Although simplistic, it is the small details that make this

collection and ensure their distinctive characteristics with accents of stamping, hand embroidery and embossed

hardware. The collection is designed for the modern Australian man

who appreciates simplicity, fine detail and quality.

‘Raw’ encapsulates the unrefined, the deconstructed. Elements of natural and organic states take and envisage the rough edges throughout the trend. As a trend, garments are left in their natural state; boiled wool is the statement feature fabrication. Textures

are a key player in raw, the harshness of winter is portrayed in fabrications as well as colours. Expect prickly fibres, coarseness and a not always finished off piece. Surface

structure is created through surface aesthetics.

3Raw

From the palest stones to a bitter chocolate, these colours come from a

natural state of unrefinement.

The Oversized Coat

The oversized coat with its rounded shoulders and removed lapels creates an effortless look. This coat plays on texture and can vary in length but is typically knee

length.

The Funnel Neck Knit

Rounded shoulders are again a feature in the knit piece for this season. The funnel neck is a cleaner take on the

turtle neck however chunky yarns give this knit a rough texture.

The Penny Collar

A softer take on the traditional point collar, produces a more organic look to an often boxy silhouette. Expect

hidden plackets and the odd raw edge.

The Torn Denim

Ripped jeans represent how fragile layers can be to reveal the natural and authentic appearance beneath. With a slim fit with a rolled hem to reveal the selvedge underneath.

Fabrication reflects the rough and raw

texture from linen and selvedge denim to boucle.

Fibres are natural and imperfections create interesting effects.

Frayed edges and exposed seam allowance

are prevalent in this trend. Rough edges and rips in denim fabrications are a natural process.

‘Raw’ is paired back from the large rips and exaggerated distressed aesthetic to a more relaxed scoring. Denim is full length with a straight but still slim fit. For the

Country Road customer, Raw is simplified and created with softer natural textures. The collection is one easy to

match and put together for everyday wear. Features such as raw edges and exposed seams are minimal in their statement

and where possible reflected just in fabric textures.Colours are on par with the Country Road man who opts for

tones that go hand in hand with each other and have a natural essence about them.

Hit the refresh button and enjoy clothing stripped back to its bare essentials. Designed with a modern edge and inspired by the aspirational, but never straying beyond the familiar or accessible. Minimalist lines and modern, matte fabrics in luxe neutrals make casual feel

sharp, highlighting the high-end mood.

4Clean Slate

Crisp neutrals are anchored by

unexpected hints of cherry & black.

The Bomber Jacket

Moving away from sports and into the luxe interpretation, from quilted leather to matte cottons, the humble bomber jacket has proven to be a quite essential

part of any collection.

The Drop-Shoulder Knit

shoulder lines drop this season for a modern update on everyone’s favorite crew neck jumper. volume can be found

throughout the body and sleeves, continuing on from 2014’s exaggerated proportions.

The Flat-Front Trouser

Pants are stripped down to their simplest form, free from any fuss or trim. pressed pleats aid in lending shape to

the slim and tapered pant legs.

The Stand Collar Shirt

Collars are refined this season, straying away from the more angular styles. The body is relaxed and interest comes

from the dipped hemline making it a key layering piece.

Matte textures can be found in medium gauge knits,

nappa leathers and peached, utility twills. High-grade wool and cotton fibres play

a predominant role in conveying the luxury feel of the collection.

Garments are free from fuss and unnecessary details, focused on quality construction and

design. Hemlines are invisible and jackets are unlined. Hardware is silver and can be found in the

form of simplistic zip pockets. Socks become a focal point as cropped pants subtly showcase a

snippet of personality.

‘Clean Slate’ plays on the old mantra of ‘less is more’. the strength from this collection comes from the restraint in design. with no bells or whistles to hide behind, every

last detail is highly considered.silhouttes are toned down further, to create a wearable

style appropriate for not only the fashion forward but also the everyday man.

fabrication returns back to basics, using high durability weaves and knits that our parents all came to know and

love. tonal dressing is recommended for the high-end fashion

lovers, whilst the neutral colour palette allows for easy mix and match options. elastication has been removed

from the traditional bomber style, allowing for a clean classic look for years to come. highlight colours have been

introduced in small portions in unexpected areas to allow for maximum wearability and versatility.

‘Architectural’ comprises the excellence and bluntness of structures that generates shapes and lines. The highlight of this trend is the organic bends formed by

structural engineering as it transcends classes from casual to dressy creating a look of versatility.

Fusing this theme into garments produces a smooth or soft curved silhouette complemented through subtle elements and trimmings. Fabrications consist of basic knits, jerseys and

fleece mixes.

“Fashion is architecture. It is a matter of proportion.” – Coco Chanel.

This colour palette consists of a grey-based blue that epitomises an unwinding feeling, yet grasping

the mood of cooler weather. Enriched auburn and wood-like beige expresses a warmer mood for this season.

Shades of grey-like pebble and burnt ash are paired with jet-black and the essential cold, crispy white, summing up the colour mood of this trend.

The Bomber Jacket

Bonded materials create curved silhouette and improved boxier silhouette with two slanted side pockets

in addition to a signature zipped detailing on sleeve.Additionally, the waist-trimmed length makes this a

highlighted silhouette.

The Pullover Hoodie

An oversized volume fit creates a rounded boxier shape as well as a mellow, de-stress

attraction to the silhouette. Stretch length with kangaroo pocket and hood with drawstring pullers.

The Collarless Shirt

Collarless shirts create versatility in both workwear and streetwear. Styles are with rounded hemlines or tunic-like

silhouettes.

The Hybrid JoggerStraight or slim cut silhouette evolving into the jogger

for casual wear. Ankle-cropped and stretchable cuffs intensify a slim silhouette, which lends itself well

into a smart style, particularly in cargo bottoms. This fashionable item could also function as a formal piece by utilising the different materials. Therefore, introducing

styles into an athletic yet relaxing trend.

Fabrication consists of the fabrics that have an

understated body such as a patterned wool knit. Merino wool, in its lightweight

sense, creates a subtle body to the garment.

Furthermore, mixes of fleece (bonded fleece) are able to create the desired silhouette to flatter this

trend.

Trims and details are paramount, for example, the ribbed cuffs on the sweater and jacket.

The kangaroo pocket detailing on the sweater and zips, are set on specific parts of a

silhouette. Scattered Piping creates a

pattern, whilst the buttons with four holes and the slanted side pockets, are both functional and

fashionable, making a appearance on the surface of garments.

Applications developed from the silhouettes and colour; embody the elements of the theme to suit the brand, Country

Road.

Detailing such as piping incorporate the Theme perfectly. Organic curves are applied to the bottoms on the pocket details as well as on the belt loops and zips are

sewn in a curve like manner to the bomber jacket. The placket on the shirt is designed in a curvy manner also, to create

versatility. The hoodie sweater is kept quite basic by using the main

fabrication of wool.

A honeycomb knit is applied to the beanie and accessories such as a canvas bag with flowy lines designs, as well as a

curved stitching on the loafers.

This trend is for those seeking to utilise fashion to make a statement in their appearance. With pop colours standing out against muted tones, this trend exudes

youthfulness and a street-wise masculinity. Textures, colours and tones are spliced and rearranged in contrast with one another to

create a divided trend where two distinct segments combine to create something so wholly complete.

Harmoniously side-by-side but never blended. Expect to see quilted patterns paired with panels of leather, tonal contrasts of thick

denims and combinations of severed fabrics, brought together by contrasting bound edges.

6Divided

There is a sense of youthfulness in this colour palette, with spiced variations

of the primary colours, blueberry, mustard and pomegranate making

a statement against muted greys and browns.

The Quilted, Hooded Parka

This casual, relaxed silhouette is the perfect outerwear garment to layer over an outfit as one experiences winter’s chill. Made interesting by contrasting fabrics and blocks of colours, whilst also catering to man’s need for bulky,

large pockets for their everyday belongings.

The Contrast Shirt

This silhouette derives from a modern adaptation to the traditional collared shirt. Panels are divided into

contrasting tones and colours to create this segmented piece, designed to be worn casually.

The Raglan Sweatshirt

A casual silhouette with the incorporation of raglan sleeves for easy wear.

Relatable to this trend through the splicing of contrasting fabrics, colours and textures of the different

pattern pieces of the garment.

The Wide-Leg Denim Jeans

This street-inspired silhouette is a key item in this trend, reliant on a baggy fit, low-crotch and cuffed

ankles.Details such as treated denim and contrasting tones

are what complete this youthful style that is the most important item in any male’s wardrobe.

Not only contrasting in colour, segments differ

in fabrication. From quilted fabric patterns, to leather,

grey marl jerseys and rough, treated denims.

The finer details are a key component in this trend, adding to the element of segmentation.

Contrast leather piping and fabrics create panels which

result in visually disconnected garments.

For the Country Road customer, ‘Divided’ takes a step towards maturity, with muted tones becoming the dominant shades and pop colours being substituted for their less

vibrant counterparts.

Still incorporating the street-inspired style of the trend, silhouettes remain loose, though pant legs should

be lengthened, allowing for rolled cuffs at an appropriate length.

Tonal contrasts are not as prominent and segments rely more on their textural differences.

The adaptation of this trend is suited for the business man’s day off.

Relaxed, playful, Yet mature.

Distorted Reflection

7

‘distorted reflection’ entails fluid silhouettes with unidentifiable prints, focusing on trims, details and subtle graphic lining.

Take a dive into the deep icy water and discover a touch of feminine inspiration for bold men’s clothing.Feel a sense of tranquil, trance and calmness surrounded with sights of water and light, and how these

natural wonders can transform through distortion. The feeling of soft, silky fabrics, transpire within the hues and glosses of the colour palette.

One can lose themselves within this trend, falling victim to the beauty of free expression and the uniqueness of reflective perceptions.

Tranquil, surreal fragments illuminate a feeling of

trance and augmentation with

shades of purple, blue, green and pink.

The Cape Raincoat

With Reflection, water is paramount. Raincoats made from PVC, plastic, and nylon for waterproof

protection with a cape silhouette and poncho.

The Collared Shirt

A take on the classic collared shirt complete with fluid psychedelic-like patterns. Material is a crepe fabric made

with tussah silk with clean finishes to give an overall relaxed feel.

The Boxy Knit

Emphasis on the shape of wide shoulders and a boxy square look of a chunky woolen knit.

Soft to touch, yet a lean sharp look. Smooth prints are fitting with this silhouette.

The Relaxed Pants

Tracksuit like active pants with a bit of class. Keeping the relaxed, baggy feel and slimming down towards the ankle

with elastic. Still fluid and oversized with noticable creases embedded in the silhouette of the pants.

Tussah silk and creased crepe cotton are recurring fabric compositions, in most silhouettes. PVC

plastic will be used as a lightweight material for

a fashion raincoat. Knitwear will be boxy and

chunky; a wool and cotton blend with a subtle skewed pattern. The two materials merged together gives

the sense of distortion.

‘Distorted Reflection’ concentrates on subtle trim and details that will make the trend transpire.

Oversized, baggy pockets coincide with the effortless texture of the silhouettes. Tiny details of

reflection on the buttons and double way zips for symmetry replication accompanied

with the endless use of reflective skewed patterns.

Country Road’s consumer tends to be quite consistent in their clothing purchases and personal style. For ‘distorted

reflection’ to work for such consumers, adaptation is essential.

Fluid and lucid silhouettes merges shades of blue, green and purple. With subtle check prints and energetically inspired tops and bottoms, a somewhat comfortable and

active nature transpires. ‘Distorted reflection’ for Country Road emerges a relaxing,

calming and lively sense for the modern day man.

‘Old-School Opulent’ encapsulates an affluent and rich affair with an old glam twist. It welcomes the return of luxurious fabrics and details, and applies them

to a modern tailoring approach. The opulent aesthetic entails decadent surface texture, detailing both fluid lines of

the materials as well as sharp and tailored construction. It is taking a look back at the traditional ways of dressing up, putting on a show

of jewelled fashion spectacles and wonderment.

8Old-School Opulent

The Overcoat

The dramatics of an oversized coat embodies the essence of opulence, taking it back to classic,

old-school tailoring and when worn draped over the shoulders creates that laidback luxe.

The Blazer

This is a classic blazer with a very refined silhouette and sleek lines.

It can be modified with the addition of buttons and pockets, but follows the simple rules of the

traditional garment. The perfect dinner jacket.

The Roll Neck Knit

This versatile knit exudes richness in bothfabrication and appearance, constructed fully-

fashioned.it is not oversized or fitted, rather a staple that

accentuates the neck area.

The High-Waisted Dress Pant

This old favourite creates a somewhat paperbagwaist with pleating detail in this area.

It is fuller around the thigh and tapers in at the ankle to draw attention to a rolled cuff.

The exclusivity of thick worsted wools, crushed velvet and dyed silks and

feathers, exude opulence.

Traditional fabrications and

applications are replaced with luxurious detailing and constructions.

Decadent trims and details become apparent through the presence of gold accents in buttons,

leather lapels and silk neck scarves.

Touches of velvet occur sporadically and unexpected contrast piping creates a sense of mystery

luxe.

Opulent accents are applied to classically tailored pieces to be translated into garments appropriate

for the Country Road man.Small flashes of silk linings and lapels, leather elbow

patches and bindings, as well as velvet piping, will add that touch of luxury to an otherwise

traditional piece of clothing. The mixture of the understated jewel tones paired with

basics creates a sense of pride in the garments, whilst attracting the eye to the

unexpected.

Moving through time and space without concern, searching for adventure and beauty. Using unrefined and organic materials to express the exquisiteness of simple and mostly

overlooked aspects of nature. ‘Nomadic’ concentrates on the tiny details we sometimes miss as we progress through life

and will change your routine to evoke a sense of wanderlust.

“Just because we wander, doesn’t mean we’re lost.”

9Nomadic

The colour palette that inspires this theme is derived

from nature at its best. Rich deep red, sandy browns are the accents of this palette,

pared with bleached sand-like tones, all originating from desert, soiland

earth-based shades.

Blues and greens discovered by wandering the

outdoors offer a natural intensity, creating a

mysterious aura for ‘nomadic’. The charcoal based black is the most pinned shade this season,

supplanting an enhanced alternative for black.

and is a casual alternative for outerwear.

The Crew Neck Jersey Top

seams on the arm incorperate a raw look.

The Tapered Scuffed Jeans

a tapered fit allows for movement whist maintaining a fashionable narrowed leg. Small scuffs and raw edges

feature thoughout the pant including the hem line, which can be folded if desired. All classic characteristics of

jeans have been kept to keep the hard wearing origins, using reinforced stitching, rivets and double stitching.

Very natural and rustic fabrications are used to compliment the nomadic lifestyle. Naturally

sourced and unrefined fibres create speckles of different colour and texture

through slub yarn; mostly represented in the

stonewash denim and medium gauge wool knit. The use of sheepskin in the

shearling jacket follows the ‘nomadic’ theme of living from and in nature.

Trims and detail elements in ‘Nomadic’ comprise of

subdued fraying, creating unrefined, raw edges. An inside-out concept

consists of exposed seams, overlocked edges and

unfinished hems. Worn, rolled necklines, mismatched yarns and distressed denims feature

in the array of garments created within this trend.

Shearling is proudly displayed on collars and lapels of outerwear silhouettes, being a key

statement trim.

‘Nomadic’ is a trend that caters to the ideal Country Road male customer. Key colours, silhouettes, fabrics

and details combine and are applied to the body to create an understated style that thrives on its organic

edge. This combination of tones accommodates a taste for

a muted colour palette, complementing the layers of unrefined garments and fabrics.

A natural appearance is fundamental to channeling this trend, where this simplicity is not only a reflection

of following a fashion movement, but extends to the wearer’s lifestyle, taking a step back from the

busy, modern world and appreciating a fresh breeze of effortlessness.
