Our Social InitiativesTrekking Experts is committed to maintaining integrity, keeping our core values and developing partnership in sustainable development. Being a responsible tour/trek operator, it has become one of our priorities to contribute what we can; be it financially, sharing ideas or investing time for positive outcome in society.

Principles of responsible travel - respecting local people, their cultures and local environments, we encourage all staff and clients to strictly abide by this. Our core sectors of contribution are Education and Employment.

Education InitiativesAs a responsible travel operator, We are continuously supporting education in remote area of Langtang region by contributing a portion of our profit to Gosain Kunda Primary School, a community based school in remote place of Rasuwa. Beside this, for responsible travelers who wish to contribute to local students directly, we run

Volunteer Trips and Fund Raising Trips in order to help needy schools and students of rural villages.

Employment and Empowerment InitiativesSince the inception of mountaineering in the Himalayas, enthusiastic climbers around the world have hired Sherpas to perform the toughest and most dangerous work on mountains. It’s a lucrative way of life in a poor region, but no service industry in the world so frequently kills and maims its workers for the benefit of paying clients. 100s of Sherpa have died on mountain leaving behind their widows to mend the home and care the children with little or no resources.

Trekking Experts with its allies and various local based communities have initiated a women empowerment program which will fund and conduct vocational trainings which will provide economic, educational empowerment and sustainability of those widows who suffer the greave challenges of sustaining a family without the men.
