Crew profile Sime Miocic - CaptainCaptain

Miocic was born in Zadar, Croatia, in 1977 into a family of fishermen. At a young age, he showed a passion for the sea and spent his free time trai-ning on the family’s fleet. After completing his nautical studies, he boar-ded merchant vessels as a cadet, eventually being promoted to officer. In 2003 he started working in the private sector, acquiring experience on 20-meter boats to finally operate as first officer on 50-meter ones. Having spent many years at sea as a professional, Miocic has a deep knowledge of the Mediterranean coasts, something that will come to our guests advantage. Miocic he will treat with surprise excursions to the hidden and most exciting spots of Mare Nostrum.Tranquilita’s captain since 2013, Miocic is a discreet and trustworthy offi-cial who knows how to spice up cruising.

In spite of his young age (he was born in Zagreb in 1981), Lajsic has a 15-year long experience as a high-profile chef. A lover of the sea, his profes-sional career began directly at fish restaurants. In the winter he likes to travel abroad in search of inspiration and new experiences. This is what led him to work at the most renowned restaurants in Europe, refining his skills in Berlin, Amsterdam, Oslo, and Zagreb. In 2012 he met Tranquilita’s owner and it was love at first sight. The man wanted him on board to delight his guests. To this day, Lajsic has not stopped gifting guests with culinary delicacies. His presence ensures that cruising turns into a true culinary adventure.Velimir is fluent in English and has an average-to-basic knowledge of French and Italian, respectively
